Spider-X Chapter 7

Opening scene, it's early morning and Peter is in the kitchen at the X-mansion making breakfast before his scheduled training with Logan, Kitty, and Bobby.

"Hey Spidey," said Bobby walking in the kitchen "What smells good," he asked?

"I'm making pancakes you want some," I say.

"You're cute and you can cook where have you been all my life," Bobby said flirtatiously.

"While I appreciate the ego boost trust me I do, but no matter how much you flirt with me I'm still not interested in men," I say flatly.

"Can't blame a guy for trying?" said Bobby. I set the table and give Bobby a small stack of pancakes and some bacon. We quickly finish breakfast and head off to the danger room. Kitty and Logan were already waiting.

"What took you two so long," asked Kitty

"You think I wake up looking this good, perfection takes time" Bobby replied

"I made breakfast sorry I didn't mean to take long" I apologized to Kitty and Logan.

"Alright brats this is a self-defense training class, not your social hour," said Logan. "Now each of you is going to learn the basics of self-defense without your powers and if you're lucky you might survive in an actual fight" the four of us were quickly paired up for sparing matches I got Kitty and Bobby with Logan. Bobby complained the whole time because Logan doesn't hold back and quickly had Bobby on the floor as soon as the match started. My match with Kitty was a different story even though I don't know any martial arts thanks to my enhanced reflexes (I can't turn that off) I was able to keep up.

"You're not bad Peter, I was half expecting to have beaten you by now," Kitty said sizing me up.

"Sorry you won't see me on my back just yet," I said as she started to laugh at my high-brow humor I managed to trip her and pin her to the ground. "I win Ghost"

"Don't call me that!" said Kitty. Just then she managed to break free of my hold and pinned me to the ground. "What were you saying about laying on your back". My cheeks turned red as I said: "You win".

"Boo, you two are just flirting. That was barely a fight" Bobby said. Kitty let me off the ground suddenly realizing other people were around we both felt embarrassed. As the training session went on Logan complimented our fight telling me my only real flaw as a fighter is that I had no technique I just relied on my powers and instinct. The training ended and I found my way to Dr. McCoy's lab.

"Dr. McCoy can I ask a favor," I asked.

"Sure Peter whatever I can help with" Dr. McCoy replied.

"I was wondering if you can help me improve my tech my web shooter materials are made with metal and that's going to be a problem when I run into Magneto again," I said. Dr. McCoy studied my web shooters with the curiosity of a scientist.

"I have just the thing you're looking for," said Dr. McCoy as he pulled out a hard plastic like substance that was non-magnetic so Magneto couldn't just control them. Dr. McCoy and I spent what felt like hours not only changing the material but making vast improvements on my web-shooters. We improved the web-fluid compound so the webs are now stronger and can conduct electricity for a Taser web ability. We invented lenses for my mask that would work with my web-shooters to help target and find the most secure spots to swing through the city. We also gave the lenses night and inferred vision so I can see in the dark. We even managed to integrate the Shockers gauntlets into the web shooters so now they can also shoot vibration blasts even more powerful than his.

"Wow Dr. McCoy I don't say this lightly, but you're a genius" I continued "In a couple of hours you improved my tech ten-fold"

"I can't take all the credit these web-shooters are all your invention, and it's not like you couldn't have made all these improvements yourself I just gave you the materials and the space to create," Dr. McCoy said.

"Still your amazing don't tell anyone I said this, but you are my favorite X-Man with your brains you could probably run the team better than Xavier ever could," I say assuredly. Dr. McCoy smiles and we continue working we even fix up my spider costume before It was basic cloth with a web design. Now with the improved lenses and web-shooters, we add lightweight Kevlar plating to make it bulletproof. I make pouches on my costume to store web fluid back up web-shooters and anything else I might need to carry. I paint the spider logo red and give the suit red accents making it look badass. I put on the new suit and look myself over in the mirror

"it's perfect thanks, Dr. McCoy," I said.

"No problem helping you make this was just as much fun for you as it was for me let me know if you have any other projects you want my help with," said Dr. McCoy. I decided to test it out by going on patrol look out New York here comes the new and improved Spider-Man.
