Chapter 71: Evidence of Kingpin's Crimes

Not long after, the two met again at the door.

The harvest was greater than they had imagined.

Kingpin had ruled the underground world of New York for over fifteen years. Relying solely on the business in those shady places wasn't enough. Many times, he also acted as a "white glove" to clean up messes for those big shots, doing things they couldn't be seen doing themselves, and even manipulating elections.

While doing these favors for them, the cunning Kingpin secretly left evidence behind, so that they would abandon or plot against him one day.

All the evidence was hidden by Kingpin in a highly secured safe in his office.

Theoretically, if Kingpin himself was still here, in addition to the defense system in the office, there would be countless armed henchmen.

Even if there was a force he couldn't resist, he could take the private elevator in the office and go directly underground or to the rooftop.

There was an explosion-proof vehicle underground that went directly to the subway line.

On the roof, there was a helicopter.

Kingpin had clearly arranged his escape routes. But he overlooked one crucial point - himself!

All these arrangements were based on the premise that he would be present. Now, he had been caught by Peter and his team without any warning, rendering all his backup plans nonsense.

Among these secret materials, Peter and Spider-Gwen also found something chilling.

Over the years, Kingpin had committed crimes in the underground world and became a criminal boss in New York. His tentacles had even extended to the entire East Coast of the United States and other countries.

Even many of his actions were known to the police and the media. Yet he was still able to get away with it, and through various actions, he had made the public believe he was a wealthy and generous entrepreneur who supported various charities.

Recently, he had been plotting something: he wanted to be the next mayor of New York City!

And the previous charitable donations and so on were all paving the way for future votes.

If he really did it, it was hard to imagine what this city would become.

"Damn, the McDonald's in Times Square is also owned by Kingpin. I love the beef burgers there because they always fry the beef just right!" Peter screamed when he saw a list of assets.

"What!" Spider-Gwen took the list and looked at the address number. "Oh my god, there is such a shop in my world too, even the address is the same! Could it be that it is also owned by Kingpin?"

"There is also Kingpin in your world?" Peter asked.

"Really? There is Doctor Octopus, but he is a man, middle-aged, bald, and has a big belly," Spider-Gwen showed a funny expression. "Is there no Kingpin in your world?"

"Yes, there is, but he was defeated by another superhero," Peter shrugged, "A superhero called Daredevil. I tell you, he is very powerful. He can tell whether someone is lying by the sound of their voice, and even estimate the age of others!"

"Haha, it seems that you have been guessed? Why are you afraid of being guessed, too old, or... too young?" Spider-Gwen sat next to Peter and asked.

Although the two were talking, they were actually multitasking. Their hands were quickly flipping through the information in their hands, screening out the useful information that could pose a threat to Kingpin. The ones that Spider-Gwen found would be handed over to Peter, who would scan them with the camera function installed on his battle suit glasses and upload them to the database.

Finally, they would be packaged together and sent to the right people, so that those "close partners" of Kingpin could give him a ride.

Peter scratched his head awkwardly, not knowing how to answer this question.

—: Saying that I am old, I am a 15-year-old handsome kid, how can I say that I am old? Moreover, do you want them to think that you are a middle-aged version of Peter with a big belly? Just like the Amazing Spider-Man B, who can't see his feet when he lowers his head and never takes off his long johns?

Amazing Spider-Man B: Are you being polite?

—: Saying that you are young, only 15 years old? Oh! Wouldn't my glorious image be completely ruined? They all think that I am a mature and responsible Spider-Man! —

Peter's mind pictured himself with a beard like Tony Stark's, and he laughed heartily.

He must look very handsome!

Very handsome indeed!

"What are you doing, Peter?" Spider-Gwen was confused when she saw Peter suddenly turn his head to look at her and start laughing. Her butt unconsciously moved half a butt away from Peter.

"No, nothing," Peter wiped the non-existent saliva from the corner of his mouth and devoted himself to screening the information once more.

Just like that, another hour passed. Peter and Spider-Gwen went from being full of energy to being full of "energy fatigue". Damn, there was too much information about Kingpin, right?

"Why haven't you finished yet? I feel tired just looking at it," a voice sounded above their heads.

Peter and Spider-Gwen looked at each other and saw surprise in each other's eyes. Then they raised their heads suddenly and saw Spider-Ham pressing his body against the ceiling of the office, with a little pig's hoof raised, looking very leisurely.

"When did you come?" Spider-Gwen asked.

Spider-Ham thought for a moment and said, "About ten minutes ago, I'm not sure. You know, I have a 'pig' brain, so this is normal."

Peter had black lines on his head: "So you just watched the two of us busy here for a full ten minutes?!!"

"Ah, what else?" Spider-Ham blinked innocently.

"You, get down here!" Peter and Spider-Gwen attacked at the same time, one by one, holding Spider-Ham's hands and pulling him down from the ceiling.

So, there was one more poor pig sorting out the information.

"Where are Peni and Noir Spider-Man?" Peter asked. The three of them should be together, why was there only Spider-Ham.

Oh, Peter definitely didn't do this to let one more person share the work of sorting out the information.

He was just asking. Really.

Spider-Ham replied, "We came here together, and we also stopped by to see Miles and said goodbye to him. But when we got here, Peni's friend detected an abnormal fluctuation underground, so Noir Spider-Man went downstairs with her to check it out. Oh, by the way, this is for you."

Spider-Ham took out two small earplugs from somewhere.

"Communicator, the frequency has been adjusted, everyone has one, Peni made it, just keep it as a souvenir."

Spider-Gwen took her own, which had the letters "GS" written on it, which was the abbreviation of her name Gwen Stacy, and she couldn't help but smile knowingly.

Peter also took his own and found that it said "PFD".

"What does this mean?" Peter asked puzzled.
