As the runes glowed with increasing intensity, a low hum filled the air, vibrating through the very ground beneath their feet. Dea and her companions exchanged wary glances, their senses on high alert for any sign of danger.

Suddenly, the air around them shimmered, and a figure materialized within the circle of stones. Tall and cloaked in robes that seemed to shift and swirl like smoke, the figure regarded them with eyes that gleamed with an otherworldly light.

"Greetings, travelers," the figure spoke, their voice echoing like distant thunder. "I am the Guardian of the Stones, keeper of the ancient knowledge that lies hidden within this forest."

Dea stepped forward, her eyes narrowing as she studied the figure before her. "We seek answers," she said, her voice steady despite the uncertainty that gnawed at her insides. "Answers that only the stones can provide."
