Secret Undertones

During Hannah's argument with Carrie, Another knock on the door recently occurred. I dashed to check who is was, and it was Darleen.

"Hey Darleen, glad you made it." I gladly spoke.

"Of course! Where's Hannah?"

"In the backyard."

"Okay.." With that, followed by a sigh, she left the room to walk towards Hannah. I quickly followed behind, and Hannah's argument was still going on. Which made her look a bit crazy; well from Darleen's perspective anyway.

"Can you shut up already?" Hannah shouted.

"Why? Don't-cha like talkin' to me?" Carrie asked. Hannah then turned to Darleen, leaving Carrie behind.

"Hey, Darleen!" Hannah said cheerfully.

"Hi, Hannah. Who were you talking to?"

"Can't you see her!?" Hannah said pointing to Carrie.

"No, but I did wake up to a boy in my room."

"Sounds like me..." I added quietly.

"Mind telling us?" Hannah asked.

"Well, I woke up, and this boy was on my bed. I was really scared, he then told me he was here to protect me. At first I didn't believe him, but he was very persistent, and he didn't look dangerous, so I gave in."

"It's okay if he shows himself now then, right?" I replied

Darleen became confused as the boy revealed himself.

"Hello, ladies! How are you lovelies doing?" After the boy showed himself, Jack and Carried decided to show themselves.

"This beauty beside me is Darleen, but you already knew that." He then shifted his attention to Carrie.

"Long time no see Carrie, you've definitely matured in all the right ways." Carrie then made an unamused face and said

"Allen, leave me alone...I'm on duty right now." After Carrie said that, I realized how similar Hannah was to her.

"Darleen, you adorable devil, you've never told me about how cute your friends were~." After Allen chuckled, Jack then spoke up,

"Stop checking the girls out!"

Allen just smirked at his comment.

"Calm down, I didn't do anything wrong~," his smirk then widened to a smile,

"Well, nothing naughty yet~." Jack took a step closer to me, just in case. Carrie then whispered to Hannah, probably about Allen flirting up a storm. Darleen just sighed and sat down in a lawn chair that was left out.

"Oh, I could never forget you Darleen. I mean, I get lost in your eyes, just by look at you. I miss hearing the sweet tune of your voice. I couldn't live without you!" Darleen's face was red, she was not used to hearing such things, well none of us were, but me or Hannah didn't get a flirtatious guy like that.

I'm actually, kinda glad too. Hannah might have killed him where he stood, the moment she opened her eyes, so luckily, she got a girl instead. At least she'll live longer than if a boy visited her. I was shocked when Jack came to visit me too, and even now, I'm still reluctant to rely on him, but only time will tell if he was as trustworthy as I hope he is.

"Well, what now?" Hannah generally asked. I glanced at the pool, and suggested my idea,

"Why don't we go swimming?"

"Okay!" Hannah shouted in joy.

"Darleen you?"

"Well, luckily, I brought my bathing suit too, so okay, but don't judge how I look okay? It's embarrassing."

"You'll look fine, trust me. Delilah, can we leave the boys outside while we change?"

"No Hannah, they can just wait downstairs."

"Okay..." Hannah sighed. While all the girls changed, Jack and Allen stayed downstairs.

After the boys got into thier bathing suits, and we all got in the pool to pass time. We played water volley ball, some tag, and there was a whole lot of splashing!

During all the fun, Jack left the pool. He signaled Carrie and Allen to follow along, and they followed him without question.

I found it quite odd, but everything about their appearance is strange, so I thought nothing of it.

Meanwhile, Jack, Allen, and Carrie were talking to another person.

Jack then asks, "What urgent report? You said all we had to do was protect our targets, and we'll be good."

"Yeah, I followed all my friend's orders, isn't that it?" Carrie whined.

"No, you just got recent orders that needs to get taken care of by next week. You have until then, just meet me here again to get started. You must be here." The man then disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Jack had the most worried face, but he wasn't worried about himself.

He looked at Allen and Carrie, giving a quick nod to each other, before returning to the pool. Scared of what might be in store for them later.
