28 Chapter 28: Post Invasion

After a month of peace went by, along with a massive boom in UNSC personnel. Adam's meeting with Skrull leadership on Earth went as expected, they willingly agreed to not only join the UNSC, but they wanted to be a part of the first colonization of a planet by the UNSC.

The UNSC planned to build several Phoenix-class colony ships, these were large vessels that could not only ferry colonists to a new planet, they carried equipment such as colony starter units, hydroponics and other terraforming equipment.

Using such a ship, a fully functioning and complete colony can be built on any chosen planet, in six months time. After the colony is completed the Phoenix-class colony ship could remain in orbit and act as a ferry until translocation pads are built, then the ship could be landed on the surface and scrapped. Its engine and fusion reactor could be used to power the planet with enough energy to get past the hardest first several years of colonizing a new planet.

Some Skrull chose military service with the UNSC while most chose to live peacefully on Mars and run the small colony, once the first colony ship was completed, they would begin their new Skrull civilization, like Earth the UNSC would be their primary military.

Small forces were allowed on the planet for each country, there has to be a force available for immediate responses to trouble afterall.

Phil Coulson had been successful in contacting Wakanda but they have yet to come to an agreement to meet with Adam, he didn't force them since Adam had informed them how their government system worked.

Phil did recruit Daisy Johnson, Leo Fitz, Jemma Simmons and Melinda May quickly, and Frank Castle soon followed. He was still working on Jessica Jones, Luke Cage as well as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil. They were more loner's.

Not that Frank Castle was an easy recruit, the military was home to Frank Castle, aka The Punisher. Although he wouldn't officially become the Punisher until a few years after the Invasion which happened in 2012, Frank's family wouldn't be gunned down till April of 2015. This was also the year Peter Parker became Spider-Man.

Phil was made aware of this as well as the reasons behind the attack, after providing the evidence to Frank, as proof he and Frank staged a simple trap for Billy Russo, all they had to do was submit an official transfer order to the leadership in Frank's team showing a transfer request from Frank had been approved.

When Russo took the bait, and after confirming with Frank himself that he was leaving the team, he tried to murder Frank. They were illegally transporting drugs back to the US using their fellow fallen soldiers bodies to avoid customs. Frank didn't believe it since he was never privy to what was going on, Russo made sure he was kept out of the loop, but once leadership knew Frank was leaving, they didn't want to take any risks.

Frank accompanied by the new SPARTAN Captain America, in his new Mjolnir Mark 6 armor, made quick work of Russo and his hit squad. After handling payback on Russo, as well as the leadership of his previous team, without hesitation Frank joined the UNSC.

His family would no longer suffer the same fate as originally. Adam and the UNSC gained big time upon Frank's recruitment, even without a super soldier serum injection, Frank was a Super Soldier, now that he received the UNSC standard serum his skills multiplied greatly.

Frank was a dedicated and loyal soldier, after learning of the SPARTAN Division and seeing them in action, Frank submitted an application to join the SPARTAN program, this was instantly approved by Adam, without any hesitation whatsoever. Frank would be his own Master Chief, while Steve Rogers or Bucky could arguably be so as well, Frank was a different breed of soldier.

Steve was righteous and wasn't very quick to kill, unless it was a battlefield. Bucky wasn't as bad, but since his experience with HYDRA and being mind controlled he did have a bit of hesitation, but like Steve that was only off the battlefield.

Frank however had no aversion with killing, you give the man a mission, even against impossible odds, Frank got it done, evident in returning from clear suicide missions his team was sent on. Russo and those involved would hang back, they knew this was a trap to be able to bring back the dead. Frank had been sent in to die various times, but he always came out, injured but alive and able to walk off on his own two feet.

Adam even participated in designing the Mjolnir armor that would be Franks after the procedures, he made sure the iconic Skull that symbolized the Punisher adorned the armor. Even the helm visor was in the shape of the skull.

Fleet wise, many space stations had been completed in the past few months. The material processing space station had been completed which spurred on the quick completion on several other construction sites due to production increasing dramatically in the processing of the mined raw materials.

The shipyard and refit space station had also been completed and the first large ships were already in their final construction phases. The shipyards were fully automated, thus construction speed was basically limited to having the necessary material needed to build the ships. Several asteroid bases had been completed and hidden amongst the asteroid belt. Capable of launching attacks from behind a fleet where shielding and hulls are at its weakest, also giving access to the engines.

The orbital combat training facility above Earth was started, thanks to the construction droids it would only take a few months before it was completed.

Thanks to the propaganda released by the UNSC across the globe, many civilians and retired vets had joined the UNSC for steady income.

The UNSC had many combat as well as non-combat roles that needed to be filled. Mechanics, Agriculture, Communications, Electricians and Plumbers many jobs were needed to maintain and repair colonial bases as well as space stations and ships.

UNSC took all, young and old alike, they were put thru advanced training safely, to build a strong foundation of tactics and battle strategy once completed, they could then join the armed forces or a supportive role. The old were given their youth back and their experience utilized in their specialized fields.

The Earth saw major changes in a short time, technology was released by Stark Industries, boosting the company's shares and value drastically. The countries who all jumped on board were able to see massive increases in their economy, while those that didn't suffered greatly.

It wasn't a deliberate act against those countries by the UNSC and UEG, it was only natural that products that were better and cheaper would be preferred over less effective and more expensive products. The countries who opposed the UEG couldn't export anything of value, the need for oil drastically decreased thus many economies that didn't join the UEG crashed. When a country has no export but needs many imports, it can't survive for long.

This would eventually lead to them joining the UEG, although the Earth still ran on the Earth's currency, Adam was already working towards the Earth making its appearance on the galactic stage.

His Capital ship the Prometheus had completed, it was the first ship to be made by the new shipyard orbiting Mars. With the minimal defensive bases and platforms already built with various others in different stages of construction, trustworthy and capable people at the helm, Fury leading Earth and Peggy leading space, Adam and the Infinity took off for Xandar.

The Avengers would stay on Earth, Yelena and Natasha would be joining Adam, the rest of the Avengers stayed to help maintain peace and training new recruits. Yelena wanted to explore the stars and see alien life, while Natasha had those same desires, Natasha mainly joined to be with Yelena and their mother.

Not long after becoming SPARTAN's the two sisters had gone to locate their adoptive mother and rescued her from the hands of Leviathan, the two were able to quickly and quietly kill off the whole base which Leviathan had their mother in, she wasn't exactly a hostage since they had her under the control of her own invention, the Red Dust.

They didn't save their father because they felt he deserved to be where he was, they monitored him and were waiting for him to be humbled before they broke him out.

Yelena and Natasha's adoptive mother, Melina Vostokoff, was not only a scientist but was also a Red Room operative who had been thru the Black Widow program four times. Melina joined the science division aboard the Infinity, she had been on countless missions with the Red Room and enjoyed her biological studies. Adam gladly welcomed her to the team.

Not only were Natasha and Yelena shocked at what their new capabilities were as SPARTAN soldiers, so were Bucky, Steve and Taskmaster. If they closed their eyes they could never tell they were even wearing armor, although the suits looked bulky and heavy with its full armor plates, however it was the opposite. Flexible and Light while protecting its wearer with personal shielding and a durable metal that absorbed kinetic energy and stored it to release various devastating attacks.

Any small cells of HYDRA that popped up Steve, Bucky and Taskmaster handled alone, with ease they located the base they were trying to summon Hive, the original creator of HYDRA.

Hive was a parasitic Inhuman with the ability to infest and possess the corpses of dead humans and control other Inhumans thru a hive mind.

He had been banished from the Earth to a planet named Maveth, once a beautiful paradise planet, inhabited by a technically advanced utopian civilization. Hive was banished because of his powers, leaving him trapped for centuries. In his anger, he destroyed the planet and its inhabitants, the once lush and beautiful planet became a wasteland, earning it its name Maveth, which meant Death in Hebrew.

In response to Hive's banishment his followers founded a secret society with the sole purpose of bringing Hive back to Earth in order to conquer it, over the years this society evolved into HYDRA.

The three SPARTAN's were able to keep Hive from showing up and entering back on Earth as he did before, causing Phil Coulson and his team to eventually defeat him, which was during the Agents of SHIELD series.

With these missions having all been completed, the Maximoff twins rescued before they could be brainwashed by the real killers of their parents into blaming Tony, Adam could leave to begin making a name for himself and the UNSC in the whole of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Adam knew that there were no significant events between now and about a year later when the Convergence happened, in 2013, this would bring the Aether to Earth.

The Aether, as it was called by the dark elves who used it as a weapon, was in fact an infinity stone that had been liquified into a dark red fluid. It was the Reality Stone.

Knowing he had about a year till he and his fleet would be needed, Adam had chosen to use these few months of time to begin making some universal credits, as well as make a quick stop on Morag for the Power Stone before heading to Xandar and registering with the Nova Empire as a mercenary force.

He chose the Nova Empire since they were not as discriminatory as the others, the Nova Empire was made up of several races that coexisted. The Kree and Shi'ar Empires were militaristic and domineering, they enslaved the worlds that fell under them. The Shi'ar even forced women of other worlds into their beds, as a show of accepting the world as their own.

In the comics Jean Grey's mother was kidnapped and her father killed by the Shi'ar, Jean's mother was forced to be a concubine for the Emperor.

By registering with the Nova Empire this would give them a foothold in the galactic struggle for dominance. The Kree, Shi'ar, and Nova Empires were among the largest powers, there were many others as well, just because they were smaller, didn't mean weaker in every case.

Thanos for example, he had no true base planet, he didn't take ownership of planets, he just showed up on a planet, wiped out half of all life on said planet, then left after giving a short speech on how righteous he was for killing half of the life and the great benefits they would now enjoy.

Many would advise Adam to lay low, surprise Thanos completely, by going out and making a name for the Earth, he is telling Thanos that the Earth isn't as weak as they thought.

Adam did agree with this, to a point. He knew Thanos already knew they weren't weak, from his invasion being handled so swiftly, he just wouldn't know the extent of their strength. Once Adam becomes active, this would change that, it will show their strength, but this is what Adam wanted and needed.

He wanted Thanos to change tactics, he wanted an all out assault, his virus against the Chitauri had been created, the bodies and ships of the Chitauri were analyzed and studied. Adam wanted to focus on taking the entire Marvel MCU by storm and perhaps leading his forces into other universes.

Star Wars, Battlestar Galactic, Star Trek, DC, if Marvel was accessible and real, why couldn't the others?

The technology he could gain to add to the UNSC would be boundless. Infinity Stones were the key.
