Ep.43 Special Guest for dinner

Later on in the evening after Mike crafted enough spells and skills to fill three large crates he heard a knock on his front door and guessed it was Samantha and opened the door to find both Samantha and Cecil standing outside and said

"What's up?"

Cecil pulled out a small paper bag out from behind her and said

"I brought you some snacks and Samantha and I are kinda curious about your store"

Mike looked in the bag and saw a wide variety of treats and baked goods before he stood to the side and said

"Thanks for the food and If you want I can give you a tour?"

Samantha was the first to enter and started to explore the store before Cecil followed behind her and asked Mike who was enjoying the treats peacefully

"What exactly business is your doing?"

Mike swallowed the food in his mouth and said as he paid attention to Samantha and Cecil

"Magic shop, I sell spell books and skills while also providing dungeon training in the other room"

Sam started to laugh and said

"Dam I didn't know you were such an idiot, magic shops are hard to gain any profit from the business you have as it's difficult to acquire spells and skills to begin with"

Mikes eye twitched a little before he said

"Wanna make a bet if your so confident?"

Sam looked at Mike for a moment before she said as she continued looking around

"I'll take a bet loser has to cook and clean in the house for a month"

Mike smiled and nodded before he took out his notebook labeled 'Store Sales' and handed it to Samantha and said as she began to read it page for page and line for line

"I haven't totalled it up yet but if it has reached over 250k then I win"

Sam fed her curiosity if anything as she couldn't believe a magic store that has been open for less then a month had gained so much money and pulled out her phone and started to total the entire books numbers while Mike and Cecil chatted about their lives while Mike couldn't answer her questions about his family history or who his mother was

After nearly a hour Sam finished totalling up the amount and was shocked before she handed over the book to Mike and said with a pale face

"You win, what do you want for tonight's dinner"

Mike was surprised as he didn't bother to worry about money as he had no need for it at the moment and said as he looked at Cecil

"I think some steaks would be good, care to join us Cecil?"

Cecil smiled widely and said before she left out the front door

"I don't have any plans for the night so count me in, I just need to change out of my work clothes and let my family know"

Mike smiled and said to Sam as they left mikes store

"We'll have to hurry to the store to get the food so we can get more steaks for dinner tonight"

Sam suddenly remembered the stacks and stacks of pancakes Mike had made this morning and asked Mike who was locking up the book store

"S-So M-Mike do you and your friends always eat like this morning"

Mike gave Sam a devilish smile and said before he got in the car

"Yep so Get ready to cook and you'll also cook for Raiu"

Just as Sam was about to hop in the passenger seat Mike rolled down the window and said

"Cecil will sit there for the ride back so you can sit in the back"

Sam wanted to throw a tantrum but seeing as Mike was her ride home she pouted and sat in the backseat while they waited for Cecil to join them

Less then ten minutes later Cecil comes out of the cafe and walked over to mikes car and said as she got in the passenger seat

"Alright let's go"

Mike put the car in gear and drove off to the nearest superstore and got all the ingredients they would need for the night

Once Mike and the others left the store Cecil asked as she was pushing a cart filled with bags of meet while Mike and Sam did the same

"How many people will attend the dinner? There's enough food for nearly 100 people"

Mike opened the trunk of the car and said as Sam and Cecil kept handing him bags of meat

"There will be six of us there and don't worry about all the food as me and my friends have eaten a lot more food then this"

Cecil handed the last bag to Mike before he closed the trunk and got in before he drove back home once Sam and Cecil were in the car where they immediately saw Raiu waiting behind the fence wagging her tail back and forth before she backed up allowing Mike to drive up to the front door and quickly got out and said to Raiu who was able to smell all the meet in the trunk of the car

'Raiu no, the food is for all of us and don't scare Cecil'

Raiu's tail stopped wagging before she slowly slithered away to the backyard

Once Mike saw Raiu disappear he went back to the car and yelled as he opened the trunk

"Jimmy! Christine! Help get the dam groceries!

Almost a minute later jimmy and Christine walked out of the house wearing matching outfits before they started helping Mike by grabbing the groceries while Sam entered the house leaving Mike and Cecil outside by the car before Mike held out his hand for Cecil and said

"You ready to meet my family?"

Cecil smiled and said as she took mikes hand before walking into the house

"I'm ready"

Once they entered the house Mike saw Sam pulling out multiple pans and placing them on the stove and said

"We like our steaks medium rare and what about you Cecil?"

Cecil looked at Sam and said kindly

"Medium rare as well and if you want some help I can give you a hand"

Sam looked down to see the dozens of bags filled with meat and said as she fired up the stove

"If you wouldn't mind then I'd love your help"

Cecil hugged Mike before she went over to help Sam while Mike saw Christine playing with Raiu in the backyard while Jimmy was watching the night sky with a beer in his hand and went out saying to Jimmy

"Do you think I should tell her?"

Jimmy handed Mike a beer and said as he looked up at the sky

"I think she should know sooner rather then later"

Christine heard them and said as he walked over to them while Raiu was slowly following her

"I agree, remember what happened last time? I don't want that to happen again"

Mike clenched his fist tightly and said as he patted Raiu on the head and sat down

"I know, it's just that I'm worried about what she'll think of me"

Christine wrapped one arm around Mike and jimmy and said as they watched the stars while they waited for the food to be done

"Don't worry Mike, we got your back like always"
