Ep.25 Too much attention pt2

After the shelves were stocked up Mike unlocked the door and flipped the sign saying 'We're Open' and went back to the counter before everyone outside started pouring on like it was Black Friday with Sam and scarlet being the last ones to enter with them both approaching Mike who was sitting at the counter meditating while waiting for someone to buy a book

Once scarlet was on the opposite side of the counter she said while monitoring her guild members with he back to Mike

"I still find it impressive how many books you have, even if there all common"

Sam leaned on the counter and asked Mike

"So how did you get that rare FireBall skill?"

Mike opened his eyes just as a woman came over with a [FireBall] and [Lightning bolt] spell and said as he started putting them into a paper bag with the store logo on it before the woman paid for them and went over to the lounge area

"Perhaps I'll tell you one day, but not today and if it would interest you both I have set up a training area for inexperienced hunters to explore a simulated Dungeon"

This peaked Sam's interest and said as she leaned close to Mike exposing some small amount of skin as if to seduce Mike

"Can you explain pleeeeeease"

Mike took his staff and tapped Sam's head and said before pointing to the training room

"You will behave like an adult in my store or you can leave, this isn't a daycare for kids. Each training session can currently take 15 people and simulate a Dungeon that is on the list, however right now there are only two options"

Sam rubbed her head and said as Mike kept selling the books and gaining points in the process

"How much will it cost to book a training session?"

Mike pulled out a white board with the title 'Training Session Costs' and said as he hung it up behind him

"These are the prices but right now I only have a F-Rank dungeon and a C-Rank Dungeon available at the moment"

Both Sam and scarlet took a close look at the board and were shocked by the prices

Sam looked at the prices and said while scarlet starting writing them down on a notebook

"I find these prices to be a bit sketchy but I still want to try it, give me a session for a F-Rank dungeon once all my guild members have what they want

Mike nodded and said as he pointed to the lounge area

"Then May I recommend waiting in the lounge area, drinks and snacks are free"

Sam nodded and pulled out her phone as she started walking towards the lounge area before scarlet took a envelope out of her purse and said as she gave it to Mike

"I received your share of profits from the Dungeon raid and here it is"

Mike opened the envelope and saw a check with an astounding number of $566,000 and hastily said as he pushed it back to scarlet

"That number can't be right"

Scarlet pulled out her phone and showed a photo of a contract signed by her from the Hunters initiative labeled 'Dungeon Raid Profits' and said

"The ship had quite the mother load of goods which we gave to the hunters alliance and then they bought it all for a price and even this amount here is not even 3% of what they gave us so it's alright"

Mike looked at scarlet dumbfounded and couldn't even imagine the amount of money that she received from the raid before he took the check and put it in his pocket and continued to check out the books for the guild members while putting them in bags till the shelves were completely empty and the guild members were crammed in the lounge area and Mike asked sam

"Would you like to have the F-Rank dungeon training session now?"

Sam saw her guild members learning the skills they got and said as she looked at Mike

"Yes, we will"

Mike smiled and opened the door to the training room and said

"Please follow me"

Sam stood up and said to her members

"Everyone! Follow me for a dungeon training session"

However everyone looked sceptical about this so called dungeon training before Sam yelled as her hands started to emanate some blue flames

"That was an order! Move it!"

Mike was shocked at the sudden yelling and moved to the side for Sam and her 12 other members walked past Mike as he said while putting in the earpiece and grabbing the tablet

"Please take a seat and put on a headset and Ms.Boli, I will be monitoring the simulation for any questions and for safety reasons and do not worry about equipment as the system will generate your equipment from your normal raids that you have done"

Sam was curious on how Mike was going to see the session but didn't ask as she was curious before she and her 12 other members put on their headsets and once Mike made sure everyone had their headsets on he said before pressing the 'Start Simulation' button and saw the feed on the tablet screen come up and saw everyone land in the goblin cave before Mike moved the surveillance orb down the the group and said

[~Hello, this is the shopkeeper here and welcome to the dungeon simulation~]

Sam came to the front of the group and looked at mikes surveillance orb and said while her members started looking around the cave

"How is this even possible? Most training programs for dungeons are not even remotely close to this"

Mike laughed and said as some goblins came around the corner

[~A magician never reveals his secrets, but I'll leave you to experience the training sessions and you don't have to worry of restraining yourself, have fun!~]

Sam saw the goblin and engulfed her hands in fire before she karate chopped one of the goblins heads into dust and doing the same with the other 2 and said as she looked at mikes surveillance orb

"Seems you have quite the number of tricks up your sleeve"

Mike laughed a little before he said

[~Thank you for the compliment, there are a total number of 27 goblins left so enjoy~]

Sam smiled a little and rallied her guild members and continued on to complete the dungeon in no time at all before they left the simulation as Mike heard two system notifications pop up

[A F-Rank Dungeon Training Simulation has been explored without any losses]

Mike was surprised to learn that he could earn points from Dungeon simulations and put away the tablet and headpiece before Sam stood up and said as she stretched her arms around

"That was quite impressive but you said that there is a C-Rank dungeon?"

Mike nodded

"Yes there is but first I will need you to pay the fine for the previous session and I think Ms.Goldren and her members might want to try the simulation"

Sam let out a sigh of annoyance as both her a Mike already knew scarlet was going to be eager to try the simulations before sam and her members followed outside back to the lounge area where scarlet and her members were waiting patiently before Mike walked over to the counter and waited for sam to pay the fine of 5 thousand dollars for the simulation and saw scarlet walking towards the counter and said as sam went back over to the lounge area

"She shocked was she?"

Mike shook her head and said

"I'm sorry but I can't discuss the simulation without her permission, I assume you want to try the C-Rank dungeon simulation?"

Scarlet felt a little disappointed but understood mikes responsibility as the shopkeeper and said

"That's a shame but yes I would like a C-Rank dungeon session"

Mike smiled and said as he made his way back to the Training room when the same member who backhanded Mike earlier stood in front of the Meditation room and reached for the doorknob before Mike said as he grabbed the man's hand

"That area is reserved for staff only, now go back"

The man gave Mike a shit eating grin and said

"Who are you to tell me what to do?"

Mike said as he gave the man a stone cold death glare that gave both sam and scarlet some goosebumps

"The real question is who are you to think you own my store and can do anything you want"

The man tensed up as he said while staring at Mike

"I am Glen Grames, and you are only a owner of a book store in the sad part of town now let go of my arm before I break yours"

Mike after hearing the name Grames started having flashbacks of Gideon beating him up in the parking lot and said calmly as he started to unintentionally crush the man's arm with his pure strength alone which surprised everyone in the room including Glen

"Does the name Gideon Grames ring any bells"

Glen started to feel his bones slowly and painfully breaking before he said as he slowly kneeled down on the ground in pain

"Y-Yes! he's my youngest brother! N-Now P-Please let go! Ahhh!"

Mike suddenly realized Glens arm was clearly broken and said as he kneeled down next to Glen who was in immense pain

"If your wonder why this happened then ask your brother… and you and your brother are not to come to my shop EVER, or this right here will be nothing if your brother comes looking for trouble with me"

Mike got up while Glen started to heal himself with the [Self-Heal] he had bought and mike realized everyone was staring at Mike before he bowed and said

"My apologies for my outburst"

Mike opened the training room and said as he looked at scarlet

"This way for the training session please"

Scarlet and her members hastily entered the room before Mike closed the door and made sure everyone has their headsets on properly but when Mike went to check scarlets headset she asked Mike

"Are you alright?"

Mike felt a tear forming and turned around and said as he put the earpiece in

"I'm fine just make sure you have the headset on properly"

Scarlet was about to place her hand on mikes shoulder before she backed away and put her headset on and sat down in the chair before she said as Mike still had his back to her and her guild members

"We're ready"

Mike pressed the 'Start Simulation' button and once everyone loaded in the dungeon Mike turned the earpieces microphone on mute before he yelled in anger as loud as he could till his voice gave out without any worry of anyone hearing him while Raiu came out on mikes sleeve and coiled up in mikes hands before Mike said to himself as he started to pet Raiu on the head
