Blood Eyed Wolf

The next day, Yi Zheng left the cave to hunt savage beasts. After going 300 li deep within the forest, he finally encountered his first prey

Grr! Grr! Growl! "A Stage 4 Blood Eyed Wolf! Great I found something to test out my new abilities on, though it's quite strong." Yi Zheng thought

"Hey brat, I taught you the Iron Dragon Fist to fight against strong opponents, not so you can fight trash like this. Even though you haven't fought in a while you will easily be able to subdue this kind of trash" Yi Zheng's master said

"Really? I've barely just started cultivation again. But It's fine, even a low-level savage beast is still a savage beast. I can fetch 100 silver coins for the hide, 50 silver coins per claw, 200 silver for the bones, 100 coins for the blood and 1000 silver coins for the beast core and I can even use the beast core to improve my cultivation. With all of that, I can feed a poor family for a year or two, or buy resources for myself." Yi Zheng replied

Within the 9 worlds, the current world Yi Zheng lived in used coins as its main currency, ranging from copper coins to gold coins. 100 copper coins are the average monthly wage of a servant in a large family. With 100 copper coins equaling 1 silver coin and 100 silver coins equaling 1 gold coin

Hunting savage beasts for a living earned a lot of money for mortals, however, they couldn't afford to cultivate resulting in large amounts of deaths or people not returning home. The claws and bones of a savage beast were sorted by grades just like the levels of Savage beasts, they're used to make weapons to hunt with and large families usually buy them in bulk causing the poor families to use common weapons

The hide of a savage beast would be made into clothes for winter whilst the blood would be sold and used in creating talismans. A beast core, however, is formed by almost every savage beast and can be used for boosting cultivation or used as ingredients in alchemy and talismans. Beast cores are also graded by the same levels as a savage beast. A grade 1 beast core could fetch 1000 silver coins, a grade 2 core can fetch 10 000 coins and so on with each grade being worth 10 times more

"Alright fine, but you'll need to keep it alive to find it's nest. Usually, when a single Blood Eyed Wolf is by itself, it's group is near. You might even encounter a Crimson eyed wolf." the Alchemy God said

"Hehe, no problems!" Yi Zheng replied

Seeing as Yi Zheng didn't move the Blood Eyed Wolf hesitated to pounce at him as it had sensed a dangerous aura from Yi Zheng. Though it was only a Stage 4 Savage beast, it was still capable of fighting against the average Body Tempering Stage 5 cultivator. However, is Yi Zheng the average body tempering stage 2?

Yi Zheng who was tired of their standoff made the first move, bang! Yi Zheng jumped and punched at the Blood Eyed Wolf with great strength leaving spider web-like cracks on the ground

Before it could even react, Yi Zheng stopped his punch and got behind the Blood Eyed Wolf then grabbed its tail and cut half of it off using his hand. Howl! the Blood Eyed Wolf howled in pain from the loss of its tail

Spltt! Blood splattered dyeing his hand red and whilst holding a tail in his hands, Yi Zheng then hid half a li away from the Blood Eyed Wolf and waited for it to retreat and threw the tail away

The Blood Eyed Wolf then started running whilst dragging its body in a single direction. On the way Yi Zheng found a lake which he used to wash his blood dyed hand whilst keeping an eye on the blood eyed wolf

He then caught up to it and hid in a bush as it found it's nest. Howl! the injured Blood Eyed Wolf then howled before collapsing in front of the cave. After a few seconds of silence, two larger Blood Eyed Wolfs could be seen coming from within the cave then carried the injured wolf inside

Yi Zheng who was hiding in a nearby bush heard "Hey brat, your first option is to take them all on whilst inside the cave or to smoke them out and fight outside risking some of them to run, though if there's a Crimson eyed wolf they probably won't run." his master said

"Hmm, I think I'll choose the latter, fighting in such a small space is disadvantageous for me I can see quite well in the dark but against a pack of them it may be trouble." Yi Zheng replied

"Hmph, you brat you're underestimating the Heaven Suppressing Scripture. Your body is already stronger than those at the peak of the body tempering stage, you'll take almost no damage from those below the 7th layer of the body tempering stage. A few dogs won't do anything to you even if you stood there for 100 years." Hou Yuhao said with contempt

"I guess I am, I'll give the first option a go then. Here goes nothing." Yi Zheng said

He then jumped out the bush and ran inside the cave with astonishing speed. Within the cave, a couple Blood Eyed Wolves were guarding the outer part of the cave. They woke up due to Yi Zheng's smell then attacked him on sight

Pow! Pow! Yi Zheng punched towards their head whilst trying not to damage them too much. Splat! Two Blood Eyed Wolves instantly turned into a blood pool. "Sh*t, I punched too hard, looks like I'll have to use a single finger to kill them without damaging their body." Yi Zheng thought as he ran deeper into the cave

Grr! Grr! The smell of their own kin attracted more Blood Eyed Wolves towards Yi Zheng, a dozen of them jumped at Yi Zheng at the same time. Woosh! As if time was slowed, Yi Zheng who was so fast as if he could teleport appeared above them and poked all of them on the head

Awhoo! Awhoo! At exactly the same time the dozen of Blood Eyed Wolves fell. If one were to see their heads, all they could see is a single hole without any blood!

Yi Zheng then transported all of them into his necklace and continued to venture deeper inside the Blood Eyed Wolf Den
