Soul Excorcist: I reincarnated with the ultimate skill

{Just give the book a try... You will love it} After Mark Hemsworth's untimely death in the normal world, he is reborn into an entirely different realm—a world ripped straight from the pages of a fantasy web novel he once loved, filled with dangerous creatures and malevolent spirits, far from the idyllic fantasies often depicted in stories. In this new world, Mark is fortunate to inherit a powerful System that bestows upon him a cheat skill: the ability to gain abilities at five times the rate of anyone he forms a bond with. This extraordinary gift presents Mark with an unexpected pathway to power, but the ambitions of the family into which he is reborn challenge his desires for a peaceful life. Thrust into a destiny he never sought, Mark must rise to become a legendary Exorcist alongside his twin. As is typical in the world of web novels, their path is fraught with peril, plagued by challenges and dark forces conspiring to plunge the world into chaos. Now, navigating his rebirth in a world teeming with supernatural threats, Mark's primary battle is not just against the encroaching darkness but also for the chance to experience the joys of life he missed out on Earth. Each day is a step towards mastering his abilities and a fight to carve out the existence he truly desires. ***Author's note*** Mass release on Saturdays; 3 Also Support and collect the book... Chapter 37: Torture of the Days

Chapter 37: Torture of the Days

[You have cheated death]

[You have successfully adapted to the injuries]

Ruthar's eyes sprang wide open, his vision immediately returning along with his senses. It took a while to recall all that had happened, and when he did, he quickly sat up and placed his hand on his...

His forehead no longer had an arrow in it, there was no sign of it even being pierced.

'What the hell is going on? Tomaha shot me in the skull with an arrow.'

He knew it was impossible to heal or revive with an arrow in his skull. He should have died the instant he revived.

'Yes, the arrow in my little man...'

He looked down at his groin. His trousers were torn, but the arrow was no longer there.

'How the hell is that possible? Did I absorb the arrow?'

[User has absorbed new materials]

[A secret skill alert]

[Lord of Things]

'A new skill, so sudden. Must that be what revived me or got rid of the arrows for me to revive once more?' Ruthar placed his hand on his chin and pondered the thought for a long moment before deciding to read up on the skill.

[Lord of Things]

*Use: You can extract objects and their secret abilities into yourself to use whenever you want.

*Weakness: You must be in contact with the object to be absorbed for more than two hours. Cloth or materials without soul or spiritual properties cannot be absorbed.

Ruthar was mesmerized. This skill meant a lot he could not yet wrap his mind around.

'From what the system is saying, I can now store objects in my body like I am some kind of refrigerator and use them when I need them.' Ruthar opened his palms and stared at them, expecting to see holes, probably where the weapons would pop out from.

There was nothing. It seemed this was a skill he would have to test at the right time.

'So Tomaha shot me with spiritual arrows to kill me... It would have worked if not for circumstances....'

[Normal weapons stuck in User's being will be burnt up and removed from user's body automatically]

'What does it mean by automatically? Whoever created this piece of crap did not own a PC. He's such a sadist...'

After this Ruthar sat on his bed and wondered what Tomaha meant by him being alone, no matter how hard he thought about it he could not get any reason.

'The only option I have is to live by the statement, time will tell.'

Five days had passed since the time Ruthar was jailed without a reason. 'Tomaha was not wrong... I have been abandoned, Kimara, Hendricks, Rotexa, and Even Elara have all left me.'

Ruthar shrugged from his stiffening joints, he felt almost dead as he lyed in the same exact spot as he did many hours ago.

'I feel like I can barely hold my sanity together...'

"Ruthar."

While Ruthar was deep in his thoughts, he heard a low female voice and turned to see someone at the other side of the cell. It was too dark to make out the person's face, but she wore a total white garment.

"Kima-uhm, who are you?" Ruthar climbed to his feet and walked closer to the bars until he could make out the face of this character.

"Elara!" He yelled excitedly, running to the bars in zest, but as he got there, Elara backed away.

She stared at him with a glum expression, a mix of resentment and fear.

At her expression, Ruthar's excitement quickly turned to ashes.

"What do you want?" he asked, his words emptied of emotion, realizing she must believe the news of him fleeing and more importantly afraid of the countless horrors she had seen earlier.

"I-I just wanted to see you again," she said, shrinking into her clothing and staring at him shyly.

"Even if you are going to hate me, I need information," Ruthar disconnected their eye contact, knowing she must have been holding a lot in her mind that she wanted to spill but was too scared and hurt by him.

"I can't currently talk to you now, Ruthar Hellborn, but this is all I can do," she picked up a book from a bag at her side and stretched it out to Ruthar.

The way she stretched it out showed she didn't even want contact with him.

'This hate reminds me of Earth.'

Ruthar respected her choice, took the book from a distance, and bowed his head in respect.

"Thank you..." Before he could complete his sentence, she was already on her way out. This was worse than hate; this was pure rejection.

'At least I should dig into the information I currently have here.'

Ruthar went straight to his bed, sitting there and opening the book, quickly scanning through its pages to find needed information.

On the first page, he could see why she was shy about giving him the book.

'It's her diary. This is the first time I am reading a girl's diary. Back on Earth, they say this thing would contain juicy elements to keep a boy's mind thinking for an entire month.'

With that, he read through the contents. Thankfully, Ruthar was a fast reader, so he was able to go through the entire diary in a short while.

After reading it, he reclined back on the bed and stared at the ceiling ruefully.

'From what I read now, after I left the kingdom on that same night, Hendricks was arrested for aiding my escape and killing the servants in the castle. Worse of all, Gandara of all people testified against Hendricks since she was the only one that survived. A lot also happened I'm clear about with the court and Gandara being privileged to become Lord Tomaha's slave as a reward.'

'I bet those snakes forced her. However, what say do I have, a common slave.'

Ruthar let out a peaceful sigh as tears began to form around his eyes.

'Kimara arrived from her mission and was imprisoned for two weeks before finally being judged. She lost both eyes because of me... Damnit! She gave me her trust and suffered for it. No wonder she disowned me... I'm a friggin curse.'

Ruthar was already crying. He folded himself into a ball and wished for death to take him.

'This wasn't the original course of the novel. Kimara lost her eyes, Hendricks is in prison, Gandara has ended up with Champa, Elara now getting more maltreatment than normal... All because I ran.'

"I lied to myself. I left the kingdom saying I wanted to train, but I wanted to run from the heat for a while... I did not think about what my actions would cause... I deserve to die!" Ruthar dimmed his eyes and cursed himself continuously in his mind.

[You haven't completed your Daily Quests]

"Shut up! Shut up!" Ruthar held his hair and screamed at the chiming of the notification, shaking violently on his bed.

[You haven't completed your Daily Quests]

"Shut up! Shut up, you bastard!!!" He screamed as the notification continued to appear endlessly at his refusal.

[You haven't completed your Daily Quests]

"Die, damnit!!!"

[You haven't completed your Daily Quests]

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Die!!!" At this point, Ruthar's entire mind had gone mad and he began to pull out his hair despite how much it hurt screaming and trembling violently.

The guard in watch stood there with Elara.

"He's totally gone mad," the guard gulped at the sight.

Elara simply held her mouth as she gasped tears forming from her eyes, it was a sight she could not see any further.

"R...Ru...Ruthar.... I'm...so...sorry." she turned away sharply and began to leave Ruthar in immense pain.

Her mind would play different scenarios of her going back to him and telling him it would be alright. Reassuring him that someone was still there to support him...

However she only kept walking ignoring those feelings.

"I'm... So...sorry... But... You must also su-suffer for the pain you caused me."
