35.A Moment Between The Two

Erick, Kate and Kara patiently waited for their return as they decided to go back to Kara's apartment to wait it out, alot was going through Erick's mind..he couldn't believe Mon-El would stoop so low just to see him behind bars in Iron Heights

Obviously they didn't get along but to go that far? You had to be some kind of messed up person; he didn't know what Mon-El was going through right now but he had a pretty good feeling it was far from pleasant..hell it'd be a miracle if he was still remotely breathing

Erick wasn't one to wish such misery on someone but when it came to Mon-El..he definitely deserved it and possibly even more

His attention is turned somewhere else as he sees Kate walk into the guest room he is in as he scoots to his left letting her sit down on the bed

Kate:Are you okay?

Erick rubs his knuckles and nods his head 'yes'

"Yeah..I was just--just thinking about something.."

Kate scoots closer to Erick as he doesn't seem to mind it as she listens to him

"I didn't get to apologize for what I did to you..when I was under that fear toxin, if it wasn't for my future self killing me--"

But Kate just hugs Erick as he is caught off guard but his body relaxes as he hugs her back

Kate:You couldn't have known..we didn't even know what happened before it was too late, don't blame yourself over something you had no control over..

Erick held her closer as Kate looked up at him and gently rubbed his cheek with her hand

Kate:You've been through enough..just for once don't think about what you did..

Erick opened his mouth to protest but she puts her hand over his mouth as she jokingly glared at him as he rolled his eyes as she moved her hand off of his mouth

Erick just longingly stares at Kate as she nervously smiles at him as she could feel the heat in her face rise

Kate:You're staring..

Erick sincerely nods his head as he tells the princess of Asgard

"You have a beautiful smile, Kate..you really do"

Kate lowers her head as Erick lifts her chin back up and gently squeezes her hand

"I know this is pretty sudden..but im glad that we met, you being here..that--that means more to me than you know"

His words made her eyes soften as she stared at him with nothing but adoration, she felt her heart melt seeing that he truly meant it..a man who had endured unimaginable terror had made her feel truly appreciated

That feeling that she had felt before had found it's way back into her heart, it was a warm comforting feeling..an enjoyable one; Kate was truly speechless to even say anything back to Erick as he stood back up from the bed

"Hold your hand out.."

Kate confusingly held out her left hand as she saw Erick's hand spark with lightning, he made some fireworks go off as she looked on in awe as he then made a rose out of pure energy and gave it to her

Kate could feel the newly made rose in her hand..she could smell it and feel the petals and how truly realistic this was as she looked at Erick

Kate:How did you do that?

Erick laughs to himself seeing her reaction

"It's one of the first things I learned how to make..I don't know, I just really liked making roses; what kind of flowers do you like?"

Kate:I like tulips..

Erick waves his hand as the rose is replaced by a bouquet of tulips as Kate smiles fondly at this, the hybrid waves his hand one last time as the tulips turn into butterflies as the small elegant creatures flap their small wings and fly around the room as one of them lands on Kate's nose

Erick reaches out and gently grabs the butterfly as the two winged majestic creature touches his finger as he holds the butterfly up, she was more than just impressed..she was in complete awe and wonder

Kate:Wow..that was really beautiful..

Erick jokingly bows in front of Kate for his performance as she puts her hand over her mouth to try and stop herself from laughing as she snickers to herself

Erick could tell that she was having a great time with him, the look of joy and relief said it all to him..and he enjoyed it just as much as she did; he didn't know why but in that small moment he confident in himself as he stepped forward

She felt him press a kiss on her cheek as he walked out of guest room leaving a very flustered Kate Foster sitting on the guest room bed as she couldn't help but smile as she rubbed her cheek where Erick had kissed her

Erick walked into the living room of Kara's apartment as he spotted Kara sitting by herself in the couch as he made his way over to her and sat down next to her
