Chapter 2. Oddity:

A sound rumbled out of the tentacle. More accurately a voice. It spoke to him

Eat this or die. Dave didn't know how to react, nor did he know what it wanted or why. After a few moments of silence the tentacle moved and an odd jell like substance got excreted. It took the shape of a sphere as it floated above the tentacle. The orb-like sphere floated down right In front of Dave's face. It was as big as a Football (not that Dave ever saw a football he's not from earth after all). He remembered the words of the Squid and forced himself to drink the liquid. To his surprise it had no taste. It was like drinking air flavored jelly. The tentacle retracted and returned to the corpse of the dragon. For the next half a minute nothing happened, but right after half a minute... Pain could not describe how Dave felt. Before it was his soul now it's his body. His body felt immense pain unimaginable to ordinary humans. It flowed through his body getting worse and worse every moment. The worst part is for some reason he couldn't fall unconscious.

After who knows how long it finally subsided. It instantly subsided. As he raised his head looking towards the direction of the giant squid. He was slightly surprised to see that it had already died. Its injuries were severe after all. It did not make Dave too happy though as he cursed out loud at the direction of the dead squid. After being forced to experience such pain it made sense that he would be angry at the squid. He somehow knew the name of the type of being the squid was. It was called a Equi.

Dave had never heard of such a being before yet he somehow knew in his mind that the giant octopus was an Equi.

Dave decided to move to the next town. He could already see that the dragon was now completely gone the squid had eaten it all while he was in pain. He could go kick the corpse if the Squid but Dave would get nothing from it. Therefore he moved on.
