Re-evaluation

"Are you ready?" Mrs. Go asked his son who was preparing himself for the re-evaluation which was today.

Byeol took a sip of water from a bottle and replied. "Yep. Let's go."

He walked until he reached their car, which was a black Volvo SUV. His mother decided to drive as she realised that his son still couldn't sit properly on car seats because of his wings.

He had suggested flying there but his father told him that until he could get his official Hunter's license he is forbidden from flying.

After some pain, awkward and uncomfortable minutes, they finally arrived at the Hunter's Association Re-evaluation Centre. It was a building even larger than the previous one. This building is not only for Re-evaluation, but also has the main office for the chairman and most high-level employees. This building also has a large hall present which has been highly reinforced using mana for Hunters of A-Rank or S-Rank to practice their skills.

From the car, he could notice a large crowd outside the building. The crowd was full of photographers and news reporters. His mother used another entrance and used the parking used by the employees that was under the building to avoid the crowd.

Byeol got out of the car followed by his mother. Byeol unfurled his wings and walked towards the entrance. At the entrance he saw Woo Jinchul who escorted him towards the room where his re-evaluation would happen.

Outside the room he saw Baek Yoonho and two more people. One of them was a short black haired man while the other was a brown haired man who wore a pair of spectacles.

"Good morning Byeol." Yoonho greeted him and introduced the others.

"These are my friends. Min Byung-Gyu, S-Rank Healer of the White Tiger Guild and Ryu-Eonsook, S-Rank mage of the Fiend Guild."

"Hello. My name is Go Byeol. Nice to meet you."

"Hello. Yoonho told us that he had quite some fun a few days ago completing a Gate with you. I look forward to it." Min Byung-Gyu announced while he shook Byeol's hand.

"Same as me. Though I think we shouldn't hold you back any longer." Eonsook said as he shook Byeol's hand.

"Thanks. So see you both later!~" Byeol declared and then walked into the re-evaluation room.

Inside two people were already there. It was his father and another person wearing a black suit and holding a clipboard in his hand.

"Sir. Go Byeol, nice to meet you. My name is Ryang Ji-hu and I will be conducting the re-evaluation."

"Hello."

"So let's not waste any time and start the process. Can you tell me your abilities so that I can assign you a class?"

Byeol rummaged through his pants pocket and took out the notepad that Yoonho had handed him to write down his abilities.

"I have written all the abilities that I discovered until now here." He handed the notepad over. Mr. Ryang read the list and asked Byeol some questions.

"So it says that you can create a flame sword. Can you show it to me?"

He agreed and materialised the sword in his hand. The man immediately noted something down on the clipboard and continued asking.

"So with your Night Vision and this sword you can be an Assassin, but with your wings I think that is not it. You have Super Speed as written here, right? Please show me your full. Can you make twenty rounds of this room at the highest speed that is possible for you?"

"Sure~" Byeol walked to the corner of the room and bent down while twitching his wings. He flapped them once leading everything else to be frozen in time except him. Though he could still see his father's eyes following his movements.

Byeol didn't mind it and tried to move even faster. He had long crossed the sound barrier. In fact he was going so fast that the sonic boom still hadn't started even after he completed the twenty rounds. He stopped himself in front of the examiner and everything resumed at the normal speed.

Loud booming sounds followed along with some shockwaves. The examiner barely stopped himself being blown away due to the intensity of the shockwaves.

"Done?!" The examiner asked bewildered.

"Yes~"

"Really?"

"Yes. I witnessed his speed. It was extremely fast even for my perception." Go Gun Hee verified.

"Hmm. So Warrior? Most probably. Hmm? Sir, what is this? "Conditional burning"?"

"Oh. That is this ability of mine. You see this sword of mine? Touch it."

"What?"

"Touch it. I promise it won't burn you." Byeol reassured the examiner who followed his instructions and touched the sword but became confused seeing that the sword is not hot at all.

"See? The fire isn't hot." He then placed the sword on the tiled floor of the room.

"But when I do this." A large chunk of the floor disappeared as he willed for the sword to "Cut".

The examiner jumped back a little seeing such a skill. He quickly recomposed himself and asked Byeol to wait for a few minutes before quickly walking away.

A few minutes later he came back with a small box in his hand. He then presented the box to Byeol who quickly opened it up. Inside was a small card that was his Hunter's Licence and the other was a small badge with the Hunter's Association Logo on it.

"Congratulations son~ And best of luck." Go Gun Hee declared as he patted his son on the back.

"Thanks dad." He muttered as he put on the badge. He suddenly heard an extremely loud commotion outside.

"What is going on?"

"*Sigh* It's the reporters. I think you should deal with them if you want to preserve your public image."

"Oh for God's sake!" Byeol muttered while pinching the bridge of his nose as he went to confront the reporters.
