—Conference Room—

Ming-yoo and Woo Jin-cheul had just came through the door as the chairman and other members of the meeting were already present and waiting. All other than Koto Ryuji. He was the Guild master of Japans strongest guild. He was also scheduled to be here within two hours.

"Glad you could make it." The chairman said with his usual smile.

"Thank you. Where's the other guild master?" Ming-yoo asked.

"He should be here in about 2 hours. Sit down with us and take a seat while we brief you on the current situation."

Ming-yoo and Jin-cheul sat down and the chairman told him how there was an S-rank gate that opened on Jeju island and that strong monsters were spawning there and took over the island.

"Not only are they strong, but their numbers are huge. The whole islands crawling with them. Today Japan decided to work with us on exterminating them." Gong-hee explained.

"I see." Ming-yoo said with a thoughtful expression.

"What if I handled it?" He offered. Everyone in the room had their eyes widened while looking at me.

"…How sure are you that you can take this alone?" The chairman asked seriously.

"Completely sure, but I do have a question of my own. Why are the Japanese wiling to help in a situation that doesn't involve them?" He asked.

"Well it sort of does involve them. Three days ago one of the ants showed up on their coast and killed some people and hunters. They also have a complication of their own that they want our help in." He explained.

"I see. Does the island have to be in one piece?"

"I'd like it to be." He said with a laugh. Ming-yoo nodded.

—Two Hours Later—

A handsome middle aged man with black hair, a sharp sense of style, and a neatly trimmed bear. He wore a business suit and had a stoic facial expression.

Walking with him was a short girl with neatly parted black hair. She too was wearing a business suite and had a stoic facial expression.

The man sat down in his seat and the gurl stood next to him.

"My name is Hanekawa and I'll be in charge of translating. I will relay Koto-san's words from now on." The girl said. Everyone nodded as she spoke.

"After the accident at the coast, we decided to give South Korea our full fledged support. The reason we came here was to pitch the idea of is uniting and making an allied force of elite hunters." She stated.

"So you'd like to attack the colony as a organized team?" Gong-her asked.

"That's right."

"I know Japan's top hunters are strong, but that's to dangerous." The chairman said. Go Gong-hee wasn't a dumb man. The reason he hadn't said anything to them about Ming-yoo was because it would be better if they saw that type of power for themselves.

Not only them, but the other S-ranks in Korea as well. All other than Sung Jin-woo. For now he can speculate that their around the same strength, but this current Sung Ming-yoo is way stronger than he was before.

"Of course we have a suitable plan prepared for this." She said as she gave everyone a packet.

"This is the data of the ants we've gained from investigation. Each any is as strong as a top rank hunter, but they have one fatal weakness. Lifespan." She said as she walked back to Koto's side.

"The ants have a lifespan of one year at most. In other words, if we kill the queen ant the rest of the colony dies out in one year." She said.

"The will die for their queen, so you'd still have to get through thousands of ants." Ming-yoo said.

"…Of course we know that, but once we get them to leave the tunnels, everything will change. Koto-san would like to know your name." She said.

"Sung Min-yoo S-rank hunter for the association." He said with a nod towards Koto.

"Have they ever left their tunnels?" Gong-hee asked.

"Yes. A total of three times. On all occasions S-rank hunters were present. This would suggest that they see them as a threat." She said.

"10 of the 11 S-rank hunters from my guild including myself will participate in the upcoming Jeju island raid. We will take on the role of drawing them out while you guys take care of the queen ant. The rest of the hunters will be entering the country soon." Koto himself said.

There was a silence as Go Gong-hee thought about it and took a glance at Sung Ming-yoo who seemed to be bored or tired of the meeting. With a sigh he spoke.

"I see. In that case after reviewing the data we'll submit a concrete plan." He said as everyone stood up and shook hands.

….

(Ming-yoo POV)

A few hours later we really did review the data. They would be using jamming signals and stuff like that to keep them away from the nest, but I was just going to go hit them with some lightning and dip out.

After reviewing me and Jin-cheul were off for the night and we're currently going out to the mountain that me and Jin-woo usually met up at. Tonight was the night I would kill him…then brung him back to life.

Hopefully.

Once we got there I just told him to lay down and relax as I took out some pillows from my inventory and made a sort of bed thing.

"Any last words?" I asked.

"Don't sound so ominous about it." He said as he took off his sunglasses and took a deep breath. He spread his arms and closed his eyes, so I took that as a sign to start.

First I made it rain for a while as it gradually turned into a storm. You could hear the thunder rumbling and the lightning flashing in the clouds. I swung my arm down and a thin bolt of lightning struck Cheuls body.

I waited a second before sending another strike of lightning at his body.

Nothing happened.

I raised the amount of power I was using and sent another strike at his chest. I waited a few seconds to see what would happen and after seeing nothing I gave it one last shot.

A huge bolt of lightning struck his body and slowly I started to see gold veins appear on his body. His body had no signs of damage as he jumped up, gripped his chest while breathing deeply.

He looked at his hands as he got to his feet.

"I don't feel any different." He said.

"Maybe it-"

Just as I was about to respond a golden aura burst from his body as his eyes shined purple through it. It was kinda fire.

"I thought it failed. Turns out you was lagging." I said with a sigh. He still seemed stunned at as didn't respond, but he needed to conceal his aura.

"Hurry up and put that up before the chairman comes." I said and he looked at me for a moment before his aura started to go back to a normal level.

"I'd put you at S- in rank." I said.

"S-?"

"It's my way of ranking. It might change depending on your combat capabilities. Well you enjoy yourself Mister South Koreas 12th S-rank hunter." I said as I left to walk home. I also made it stop raining and moved the clouds to let the moonlight be seen.

….

'Should I see if anything's open tonight? It'd be nice if I didn't have to sneak around everywhere to do something. Should I buy a building?' I thought as I turned the corner. I sensed someone jogging so I moved to the side a bit.

I was about to keep walking when that same person had stopped and got in front of me. I stopped and saw Jin-ah in a black and pink tracksuit with her hair in a ponytail.

"Eh? Why are you out here?" She asked after a moment of confusion.

"Nah, why are you out here alone…at night?" I asked with a blank expression.

"I always jog when I can't focus." She said looking away from me.

"It's like 11 something at night, so what're you focusing on?" I asked we begin walking around the corner.

"Work from school. I'm feeling weird today. Like something was supposed to happen." She said in a calm tone.

"Well some people get that feeling when it has something to do with their family. Did Jin-woo get home yet?"

"Nope." She said with a sigh.

"Well just wait and see. Something good might happen tomorrow."

"On another topic, how's working at the association?" She asked.

"In one word it's interesting. The chief's a cool guy. What else, right. In like four days I'm going to possibly destroy an island and in a raid."

"What!!" She yelled.

"Yeah, it'll be played live on all channels actually. After all this would probably be a momentous day."

"After that's over, I can probably take you out." I said looking up at the sky.

"So in about a week?"

"Yeah."

From that point I dropped her back off at her apartment complex and used [Cloud Movement] to get back to mine. Instead of sleeping I decided that I need to get as far up that mountain as possible.

I grabbed my phone and put it into my inventory before selecting the kings mountain ID. Instead of appearing at the base of the mountain, I was in a cave that had an open treasure chest and some dead guardian.

"Status."

"As satisfying as always." I said as I got up and looked around this mountain. I trued to use [Cloud Manipulation] to get them out the way, so I can see to the top, but it was like the more I moved them the more clouds would come.

Eventually I decided to yolo it and ran out the cave. In just a few seconds of me running up the mountain, something burst out the side of it. A huge golem like monster had came out of a hole that it made in the side of the mountain.

With a roar that shook the ground it ran at me with astonishing speed. Within seconds it was in my face about to deliver a punch. I jumped back as it's fist smashed into the mountain.

Seeing that it missed I tried to use [Magic Hand] to crush it, but it's body started radiating a green aura that seem to resist my telekinesis.

Seeing that that option was out, I used [Dash] and appeared in its face and punched it in the jaw. It's face was blasted inwards it had a huge dent. I didn't stop there as I sent a barrage of punches and kicks trying to destroy it.

The body was cracking and chipping apart as I was mainly hitting its shoulders, knees, and face, so that it can't start randomly fighting back. Unlike Jin-woo, I don't have numbers to overwhelm it, so I have to use raw strength.

Using [Empower] I punched it in the chest as it's body exploded into chunks of rock.

[Item Obtained: Verdant Stone x2]

Nodding at that I continued my way up the mountain. Most of the monsters were killed with my [Lightning Manipulation] and since [Magic Hand] didn't work on some of them I just used [Wind Manipulation] to make a dome of spinning air around their head so they can't breath.

I lost an arm and occasionally a leg, but my passive skill [Rapid Regeneration] had healed me. For a while I was getting somewhere while taking my phone out on breaks to check the time.

All of that had gotten me to level 99 and I'm now facing a the "boss" of this section of the mountain. We were actually inside of the mountain in a room that was like a dome around us.

I was surprised to see that something like this is inside a mountain. The boss monster was down on its knees as it had a huge sword sitting on his lap. It's head was down and it's eyes were closed.

It looked like an oni from Japanese mythology. Honestly it looked cool as fuck if it wasn't for the room being filled with a feeling of death, despair, and anguish.

I took my phone from my inventory and saw that it was around time for me to leave the dungeon. I knew the fight with this guy would be a long one and I wanted to actually have time to fight him.

"ID leave." I said as my body was flashed away. I was back in my room where I cleaned myself up and left the room.

"I should move. Getting a penthouse doesn't sound bad." I muttered as I looked at my door that had been fixed while I was out yesterday.

Getting my keys I left the complex got in my car and went to the association building.

….

(Third POV)

As Ming-yoo walked into the chairman's office he saw Go Gong-hee laughing while Jin-cheul was standing at his side with a small smile.

"What happened?" Ming-yoo asked as he sat down on the couch.

"Jin seems to have reawakened overnight. I wanted to have a toast, but he's not a heavy drinker. What about you? How much can you drink?" He said as he took out a bottle of Hwayo Premium and filled two shot glasses.

"I never drunk wine." He said with a smile. Go Gong-hee was like someone's grandpa with an aura that could attract people.

"Your lives must be boring." He said as he took both shots.

"I said I never drank, not that I don't want to." Ming-yoo said as he took three wine glasses out of his inventory. The demon clan castles had a lot of designer things and with an infinite storage why shouldn't he take them?

"That's the spirit!!" He said as he dragged Jin-cheul over with him to the couch. He filled the glasses and raised them for a toast.

"To South Koreas 12th S-rank hunter." He said as him and Ming-yoo tapped glasses. They looked over to Jin-cheul who was just holding the glass as he sighed. He then tapped them and threw the whole glass back.

Following him, Gong-hee and Ming-yoo threw the glass back as they burped.

"For someone that hasn't drank before you're handling this pretty well." Gong-hee said as he pour another glass. He looked over to Jin-cheul who had his sunglasses off. He had sleepy eyes as his face was alright starting to turn red.

"Off one glass? What is this anyway?" Ming-yoo asked.

"The most expensive wine I had when I was in my 50's. This wine is about 30 years old." He said with a chuckle.

"…You guy's aren't a good influence on my young self." Ming-yoo said. His passive ability made it hard for him to get drunk since wine was sort of like a poison he was constantly healing.
