Jack vs Hermes
Hermes stayed for a while interested in Jack and also because Jack had still his chains around him making it impossible for him to use his powers. They sit down and Jack asks after hearing Hermes bragging about his speed, "So who is faster you or that Flicker?" This question makes Hermes laugh.
"You really need to ask. Well, if you mean with Flicker that mortal that is the fastest human then yes. I would outrun him easily without breaking a sweat. Someone that can challenge me still needs to be born. Why do you think I'm also called the Messenger of Gods? Its because I'm the fastest and will always be the fastest in this Universe," says Hermes telling the truth.
Jack chains began to hold him tighter and Hermes says, "Why are they gripping this hard. It not like I will disappear just because they get a little loose." Then it was Jack's time to laugh and Hermes asks, "What's so funny?"
"What if I tell you there is someone that can reach your speed. But for that to happen he needs to do something that I can't do in here. All LUX are neutral territory and I will keep my word to Lucifer," says Jack who turns to Kara and says, "Be right back."
Then he begins to open a portal and both he and Hermes appear on Mount Everest and Jack says, "It seems that the mountain is always the same in every world. Now we are outside LUX and I can do this." The Grey Chains enter Hermes' body and after barely an hour they return. "You really have much power than Loki but Thor is more your scale. If not for the black chains holding you down it would have been over after some seconds."
"Who are you?" asks Hermes angry to have lost a tenth of his power.
"The man your father wants dead and your grandfather sent here. I don't know why he wants me here to tell you the truth I just know he is having fun seeing me or he would have killed me already. Now, how about we return to Metropolis," says Jack as he opens another portal and he appears in the middle of the room and he says, "Time to say goodbye and tell your father I will visit him soon."
Jack releases Hermes and he used his speed to attack only to feel nothing when his hand passed through Jack's chest. Jack has a smile on his face and says, "You should know that I really can't be killed that easily." He takes his staff out and swings it but Hermes was already somewhere else in the room.
He attacks again this time the arms trying to separate them but only gets a feeling of the skin before it turns to smoke and passes right through it without causing damage. "How?" asks Hermes who never fought against someone that could react this fast.
"Thanks to you but I only use the tip of the iceberg for now. But with you attacking me I learn faster. Like my teacher said, "In a do or die situation a human learns faster." and thanks to you I'm learning way faster than by some boring meditation. Now come I want to see what is under the water, "says Jack wanting to keep fighting showing a smile on his face that froze Hermes.
'Maniac, a cold-blooded maniac that isn't afraid of dying.' thinks Hermes as he wants to say something Jack attacks with his staff. Hermes evades easily since Jack is still a novice in fighting at high-speed and takes his opportunity and tries to attack Jack by surprise by trying to pass through the staff.
But he can't pass through it as if the staff had its own will and Hermes retreat while looking at his hand and thinks, 'What is that staff made of. I couldn't faze through it. If it keeps going I might lose. Time to retreat I think.'
Thunder fell and a voice followed saying, "You won't leave. You started it and will end this fight with you either losing, winning or dying. If you flee you will die by my hand." Hermes looks around to find the voice only to not see anything.
Hermes wanted to flee when thunder fell beside him while the voice says, "Last Warning, the next one will hit."
"Come don't disappoint me," says Jack as he rushes at Hermes. They fought for almost three hours in that little space at an unimaginable speed that Jack kicked his ass after combining his Thor's, Flash's and Hermes' Power into one by making Flash's power the core to fuse all three together.
Hermes was lying on the ground sweating all over and says, "Not *breath in* human *breath in* at all."
"Thanks *breath in* for the *breath in* compliment," says Jack that was sweating too. But thanks to this fight he could learn faster how to master his new powers. "You can leave now. There is no need to kill you since we don't really have a grudge and your power will return to normal after time passes. But we should have a match of those once in a while it was fun."
"Never again. I'm too lazy for those things. I will ask Apollo to come if you want he is like me someone that doesn't like to follow the order and a free spirit," says Hermes who was back up.
"Men always think about fighting and never who has to clean afterward," says Kara angry when Hermes cleans everything up in seconds.
"My pleasure helping you miss. But now I need to leave or the old man will find out that I was having fun with you in the end," says Hermes as he leaves.
"Wanna take a shower together?" asks Jack Kara, who was fascinated by what Hermes left on the table. He follows her stare and looks at the table that had some gold bars on it with a note saying, 'Sorry for the hassle.' "Well can't say he doesn't have a heart after this," says Jack seeing at least twenty tight gold bars lying on the table.
"Come let's go to the bathtub and have a nice bath," says Jack again and Kara blushes as she follows Jack into the bathroom to not only have a bath together.
"So when will the plan start?" asks Kara.
"In a week. It should give Diana and Felicia time to return and look for us. We won't be able to stay here beginning tomorrow and we will look for an apartment later to rent. It will be our first apartment together arent you excited," says Jack as he hugs Kara from behind as they are in the bathtub.
"Yes, our first apartment together," says Kara imagining it already.
"What about your job at CatCo?" asks Jack worried that Kara could lose her job by being with him.
"I quit my job since I will be leaving with you to your earth. I will find one once we are in your earth," says Kara while leaning against Jack's body.
"Well, we have the Daily Bugle in New York City or how I call it the JJJ train. Maybe you can work there once we are there if you want something to do if not you don't really need to work since I have money on the other side," says Jack explaining to her his financial status.
"And you are still living with your parents," says Kara giggling about the fact that Jack still lives in the basement of his parent's house.
Jack begins to tickle her and says, "Do you still find it funny."
"No, stop please," says Kara while laughing out loud from Jack's tickling.
He stops after a while and says, "Time to get dressed and look for the apartment."
They leave the tub and dry themselves before dressing and Kara says, "I might as well buy some clothes for myself and inform Alex and Mom about where I'm so they don't worry."
"Aye, it would be for the best before the whole DEO comes after us," says Jack as he puts his robe on and changes the outlook with magic turning it into a suit.
"Now I really want to learn magic," says Kara just thinking of how easy life would be with magic.
"You really want to learn with how much it took you to create a dimension portal. Better you stay with your other powers than to be completely exhausted from using one spell," says Jack as he walks to the door and Kara takes his arm and they leave to look for an apartment to live in for now.
After finding a perfect apartment to rent they paid for three months as collateral and the furniture was already included. They just needed some clothes, dishes, and covers for the bed.
They went shopping and while doing so they watched a movie and Jack felt someone or something watching them when they left the cinema. They walked through the streets and once near a dark place Venom leaves Jack's body in his fluid form entering an alley and begins to follow them by jumping from roof to roof looking for the one spying on them. Finding a man with a mask that only had one hole in it for his eye and a full-body armor on that was a mix of Orange and black.
The man was Slade Wilson that was spying on Jack to find out his position between him and the League finding out that he is not only an enemy to them but also defeated their strongest member Superman. He doesn't know how the only thing he knows is that the name is James Striker and that the Underworld in the West Coast knows who he is and what he did. (Courtesy of Lucifer)
He was now following for some hours and knows only that he lives with that blond woman he only knows that is named Kara Danvers and used to work for CatCo in National City. He wanted to return to give his report and get paid for an easy job when a giant black monster was in front of him.
"Where do you want to go? The fun part is about to begin," says Venom as he attacks Wilson who evades his attack. He takes his two swords out and begins to cut into Venom only to find out they got stuck into Venom, who says, "Nice swords. I think I will keep them." As he uses his claws to rip the mask from Wilson's head making him show his face.
Wilson let's go of his swords and runs away while shooting at Venom who blocks the bullets with his skin. 'Need to retreat. Can't risk getting taken out by this monster. Should the League deal with this.' Venom doesn't follow and only looks at the direction Wilson runs away.
Jack and Kara enter their apartment and Venom awaited them there. "So how was our little spy?" asks Jack curious to find out.
"He was so-so if you ask me the lantern guy was harder to fight against," says Venom as he explains the encounter and how the man looked like.
"That person must be Slade Wilson also known as Deathstroke. He is an assassin and mercenary. Since he didn't come to kill you he must have come to on a different job," says Kara informing them about Slade's past making it hit a sensitive spot in Jack as an ex-military who was experimented on.
"It seems the Military never changes as long as it can try to make super-soldiers," says Jack angry about what happened in his past.
