Brian had laughed immediately and Emerald couldn't understand what he had found so funny to the point where he was laughing so loudly. What she had just said made perfect sense to her and she expected Brian to understand immediately but the fact that he was laughing instead, made her upset and disappointed.

"I don't think that anything I just said is relatively funny in any way, so may I ask why you're laughing and what it is that's so funny?" she asked, not bothering to hide the fact that she was irritated.

"I mean, I didn't actually think that far probably because I'm not bothered by such thoughts and I found it funny that it was what you were concerned about," Brian replied, putting a stop to his laughing after noticing that Emerald was getting very irritated.
