Lilly Rose shivered in the silence of the master bedroom. The soft hum of the air conditioner, barely noticeable in normal circumstances for its brand, promised a quiet machine—and indeed it delivered and held up to their product promises, however, to Lilly Rose, it was like a buzzing of bees in her head.

She looked at the ceiling, confused about what had happened. The throbbing need in her lower body was now frozen and the fire that her husband fanned out of her was totally extinguished. And the only telltale sign of what happened was the wetness between her legs which could be what adding to the coldness she was feeling—or it was not.
