Newfound Courage

Rosa smirked and coughed. She met Robert's angry eyes as a gush of blood came out the corner of her mouth. She never felt this good for a long time.

She must have looked disgusting because Robert curled his lips in disgust as he stared at her in disbelief.

"Y-you bitch! What did you do?"

Rosa chuckled. She remembered how she woke up today with a clear intention in mind after being high with medication she had no idea what kind, making her tied in bed with days and nights blended into pain, seering in pain in every parts of her body, she wondered if the nurse that her husband employed to check include painkillers in those medication that she administered nonstop in her bloodstream.

The kind doctor never came back. She was hoping she would but it seemed that she didn't want to compromise her job for her, which was to be expected.
