What's Your Name?

"Come on! Just go up there and apologise!" Lucy pushed me forward. She literally spent all night trying to convince me to apologise to the lyric boy, and although I told her I never would, she somehow persuaded me. But right now I'm starting to think I made a wrong decision. Why should I apologise, he's the one who bumped into me?

I stared at the group of 4 boys, who were located a couple desks away from where Lucy and I were standing. They seemed to be discussing something. Two of them sitting on chairs, one on top of the desk nearby and the one named Jaxson was standing.

"There's no way I'm doing it." I shook my head while crossing my arms.

"Oh come on! Just last night you said you would!"

"Well I guess I changed my mind" I muttered in response.

Lucy used all her strength to try and push me towards their table, but I did not budge.

I glanced at them one more time as I heard them laugh and start cheering.

"Plus, they're... busy. I don't want to bother them." I added.

Lucy turned her face to my direction. "Like you care about bothering people."

This time, Lucy stepped in front of me, facing me directly. "Don't you care about this mission? You know what the costs are if you fail."

I could hear the sincerity in her tone. But it still wasn't convincing me. I looked at her in the eyes and replied, "Look, I don't have to apologise anyways. So what if I acted like a b*tch to one of them? There's still another three. We just gotta make it work with with those three."

"Are you serious right now?" Lucy questioned. "They're best friends! If you acted like a b*tch to one of them, then they will ALL consider you a b*tch"

As I was considering the flaw in my plan, I heard a voice shout out for Lucy. I looked up to see that it was one of the Feather Fall members.

Wait... How does he-

I looked at Lucy, eyebrows crunched in confusion.

She just shrugged and said, "I kind of already introduced myself to them."

"When did you have time to do that?"

She didn't reply. Instead, she grabbed my hand and dragged me to their table. This time I didn't stop her.

"Hey Ezra" Lucy waved to the boy who had called her. He was seated on one of the chairs. He had short, straight, black hair, and had a darker complexion.

"and the rest of the gang. This is my friend Sofia" She glanced at me with a smirk "I'm sure you've heard of her."

Lucy nudged me gently with her elbow, in response I put on one of my infamous fake smiles.

I REALLY don't want to be here right now.

"Sofia has something she wants to say to Jaxson." She added, causing me to glare at her. She also gave me the 'you better do it' look which I somehow always followed like a girl under a spell.

"Well the thing is..." I stuttered, eyes glued to the floor, not knowing what to say at all.

"Are you going to apologise?" Jaxson asked, shock spreading over his face.

I looked up immediately, baffled. Awoken from the spell Lucy had placed on me, realising what I was just about to do.

I do not apologise. Ever. Even if I am in the wrong. In which this case I am not.

"No!" I found myself spurting out. "Why would I apologise? In fact you should be the one apologising!"

"Oooo, she's a feisty one." The boy sitting on the desk stated. He had blonde hair that was tied back in a mini man bun.

"I like feisty." The other boy sitting on the chair stated. He was pale skinned, with light brown hair. His fringe was so long it was almost reaching his eyeballs. And his eyes were green.

"Oh do you now?" I asked with an evil glare. No one talks to me like that. To my shock he glared back just as intently. Soon we were in a glaring competition and I never lose glaring competitions... ever.

I'm not planning to lose this one either.

"Wow, Leo, calm down." I heard, the one who I assumed was named Ezra, say.

"You too, Sofia!" Lucy added.

"Be quiet! I'm in the middle of a very important mission." I stated

"And what mission is that?" Jaxson questioned.

"I must win." I answered not batting an eye.

I continued to glare but Leo wasn't giving up either. He's actually pretty good but no one can beat me.

"Okay, the both of you, stop!" Ezra yelled, somehow causing Leo to immediately stop. Some power he has.

"She's seriously got problems." Leo muttered as he finally moved back in his seat.

"If I have problems I wonder what you have." I retorted with a chuckle.

"Oooohhh, she got you good." The one seated on the desk remarked once again.

"Shut up, Juelz." Leo hissed back at him.

So their names are Ezra, Leo, Jaxson and Juelz, huh?

"So why are you called Feather Fall anyways?" I asked curiously.

They all looked at each other with a smile and Ezra replied.

"Long story short, we were all chasing falling feathers back in first grade and that's how we all met really."

"You were chasing falling feather?" I repeated, intrigued by the backstory.

"Yeah, so pretty much we were doing arts and crafts and all of us wanted to use the feathers the teachers had provided us with. So we all grabbed for the feather bag at the same time and started fighting over it." Ezra continued his story.

"We ended up tearing the bag and the feathers went flying all over the classroom." Juelz continued the story. There was so much excitement in his voice, it was as if he was reliving the moment.

"And then we had to stay back during lunch time to clean it all up." Leo added, "Every single piece. That was a nightmare."

"Yeah but at least we got to know each other." Jaxson stated with a smile.

I laughed at the story, "That's hilarious-"

"Miss Sofia!" I heard the familiar voice of Miss Jennifer yell. "Why aren't you in your seat?"

I looked around to see that there were still a bunch of students who were standing, although after hearing what Miss Jennifer had to say they immediately rushed to their seats. Lucy also rushed to her seat, leaving me standing there all alone.

"Get back to your seat right now!"

I sighed, slowly made my way next to Lucy and took a seat. Why does this lady hate me so much already? I mean she doesn't even know me.

Miss Jennifer began her lesson as soon as she saw that I was seated. "And today's lesson is about..."

I toned out everything she was saying and began drifting to sleep. I had barely slept last night thanks to Lucy. I tried pinching myself to stay awake, however, the drowsiness finally took over me and I blacked out.

◾️◾️◾️

"Miss Sofia! How dare you sleep in my class?"

Someone yelling my name woke me up, but I was too sleepy to to care.

"That will be one week of detention with me!"

"Shut up... I'm trying to sleep" I mumbled, barely making out the words.

"Make that two weeks!" Miss Jennifer added, "Class is dismissed."

I felt someone nudge me a couple times and then I felt a painful pinch.

"OW!!" I yelled, finally opening my eyes and lifting my head up from the desk. I looked up to see Lucy.

"What just happened?" I questioned while rubbing my eyes. They were in pain from the sudden amount of light.

"You just got two weeks of detention." She answered.

"Wait What? Why?" My eyes wide open now.

"You got caught sleeping."

I looked Lucy right in the eyes, "Why didn't you wake me up?"

"Trust me. I tried." She glanced back at me, and suddenly I felt the pain from all the pinches she had given me.

"I see..." I said, grabbing my arms tightly in my hands to lessen the pain.

I leaned my elbows on the desk, and placed my head in my hands. "I can't believe it. Detention on the second day of school?"

My fingers swept into my hair as I pulled tightly. This can't be happening, I thought to myself. I can barely stand Miss Jennifer when she's teaching the entire class. How am I going to stand being in detention with her?

"Come on, we're late to out next class!" Lucy grabbed my arm and began pulling me away with her.

"What is our next class?" I asked.

"It's PE" she answered.

Finally something I'm looking forward to.

"Any information you get is important, okay? Make sure you take every opportunity to get close to them and report back to me as soon as you find something." Gavin exclaimed through the phone.

I rolled my eyes. He had already told me all of this before I decided to go on this mission. Why does he keep repeating himself?

"What I don't understand is, why are you spying on this group of high schoolers? Usually if someone doesn't pay you on time, you just get your men to beat them up. Why are you using different tactics on this bunch?"

"Don't question my orders. You know what the consequences are if you disobey me."

"Yeah yeah, whatever. I'm hanging up." I shut the phone before he could say anything else. I was in the locker room getting changed into my gym uniform before he called me. Seriously, doesn't he care that I might get caught because of him?

And I hate that he's always threatening me. Just because he knows who my parents are, doesn't mean he can use me like this!

Once I was finally dressed I made my way to the gym. Why do we have a gym class at a school make for music? Beats me.

"Everyone line up!" The coach blew his whistle. Phew, made it just on time. I don't want to end up getting another detention this week.

"I'm going to give you all a number. Number Ones go this way," he pointed to the left side of the gym "And number Twos this way" he pointed to the right side of the gym.

Our class was quiet small. All of Feather Fall was in it, another 6 boys who I haven't met yet, and only 4 girls - including Lucy and I. So 14 students in total. I don't understand why people don't like PE class, it's much more fun than listening to a teacher lecture you all day. Plus, if a student or a teacher was annoying you, you can always hit them with a ball and say it was an accident. Works like a charm. Speaking from experience of course.

"You're number Two." Okay number two it is!

I walked to the right side of the room. My teammates included Lucy, Jaxson and Ezra and 3 people whom I still didn't know yet.

Team One had Leo, Juelz and the remaining 5 students. This is going to be an interesting match.

"We'll play a round of Dodgeball. Which ever team gets to 3 points first wins. And what's the prize you ask? You get to drink bubble tea - which I bought with my very own money if I may add - while the losing team watches." Coach exclaimed.

I love this teacher! I can't believe he actually bought us bubble tea.

With Leo on the opposing team, I will consider this a rematch for the glaring competition we had earlier. I can't wait to see his face when he loses.

"Let the game BEGIN!"

With the sound of the whistle, everyone was running at full speed towards the balls in the center. Jaxson was ahead of everyone. He grabbed a ball and I was right behind, grabbing one for myself. No one else on out team got a ball, meaning the other team has 3.

"Someone seems eager." I said to Jaxson without taking my eyes off the balls on the enemies team. One came flying my way but I dodged it.

"You don't know how much those guys tease me." He threw the ball, hitting one of the girls on the other team. "This is my way of getting revenge."

I threw my ball, aiming for Leo but missing. Oh come on, so close!

The game continued until it was only Jaxson and I vs Leo and Juelz.

"Don't worry we got this!" I reassured Jaxson.

"I'm not worrying." He looked at me with a smirk on his face.

"You guys are going down!" Leo yelled from across the gym. At that very moment he was hit in the face with a ball. I looked at Jaxson, shocked, but he had the happiest smile on his face. I couldn't help myself from chuckling.

"That's not fair! I wasn't ready!" Leo argued.

"You're out Leo!" Coach said after blowing his whistle.

Juelz threw a ball right at me. I was just about to catch it but it slipped right through my fingers. Shoot, I'm out!

"You can do it Jaxson!" I heard both Ezra and Lucy cheer for him.

Once I got to the side, I looked at Leo and shouted "Hey Leo! How does it feel to lose?" causing a glare from him in response.

◾️◾️◾️

"And the winner of the bubble tea is..." I took a deep breathe as I waited for the final score count. "Team One!"

What?! I was sure we would win this!

"Hey Sofia!" I heard Leo say. "I remember you saying something about losing. Oh yeah, how does it feel to lose?"

I turned around to face him, anger boiling inside me. However, I decided to keep my composure. "Not bad really. Especially considering how you got hit in the face by Jaxson." I retorted with a chuckle. "Plus, you may have won the battle, but you will lose the war."

I stated before walking off towards the rest of my teammates.

"You did pretty good out there." Said Ezra as soon as I sat down next to him. Lucy and Jaxson were also seated down.

"Thanks. Not too sure about you though."

He chuckled, "Yeah, I'm not that good at Dodgeball."

"Too bad we didn't win the bubble tea." Jaxson stated looking at the other team enjoying their drinks. "Could use one right now."

"Yeah it was a tough match." Ezra said.

"Yeah and you all stink!" I said while waving away the sweaty odor.

"So do you!" Lucy exclaimed.

I took a sniff of my clothes and Lucy was right. I did also smell.

"I think we all need a hot shower right now."

Sorry for the wait, but Chapter 2 is finally out! I hope you all enjoyed reading this!
