Pink PJs

"Finally!" I exhaled as I landed face first on my bed. Lucy wasn't at our dorm yet, I wonder where she is...

While I was resting there for a few seconds, my stomach grumbled very loudly. I just remembered I hadn't actually eaten anything since breakfast. Because my entire lunch was wasted on feeding others, I had completed forgotten to feed myself. I got up from my bed, put on my slippers and quietly left the dorm. I was in my PJs but that didn't stop me.

The hallways were completely empty since it was clearly past curfew time. If I got caught by another teacher I will seriously be dead, especially if its Miss Jennifer. She'll probably give me two months worth of hard labour detention. Or worse, expel me.

I quietly tip-toed my way back to the school's kitchen, hoping no one would catch me. I was just about to turn the last corner before I heard voices. I immediately hid behind the wall and froze. I hope it's not a teacher. Then I realised the voices sounded familiar.

"I'm really sorry about what happened man. It should have been me, not you." It was Juelz talking.

"Nah man, we're in this together. It could have happened to any one of us and we knew that when we signed up for this." I heard another voice reply. It sounded like Leo.

So he really does have a heart? I thought he was a heartless beast.

"I shouldn't have put you guys in danger like that. I'm so stupid."

"Hey no talking like that, remember? We always stick together, so it wouldn't be fair on the team if you did this alone." Leo answered calmly.

I quickly took a peak and realised they were in the practice room, which was right where I was hiding. Shit, how am I supposed to get past that? The door was wide open and they were both facing it. At that moment my stomach grumbled again.

Come on Sofia, you can do this! You've survived much tougher missions, this is nothing.

I dropped to my knees and began crawling as quietly as I possibly could, hoping they were both too distracted by their conversation to actually see me, who was in bright pink pajamas. What? They were a present from Gavin, even though I despised the colour I never thought anyone would actually see me in them. And honestly, they're pretty comfortable.

"Anyways, I'm going back to the dorm, you coming?" I heard Leo ask. Shit! Why now, go later!

"Nah man, I'm gonna practice a little longer." Juelz answered.

"Up to you, I'm gonna go and sleep."

Leo got up from where he was seated and stood in front of Juelz, facing him. "Make sure you get some rest too. Don't spend all night practicing again."

I took this opportunity to quickly slide past the door, as Leo was blocking Juelz's view and also not facing the door anymore.

Phew, I did it. I thought to myself as I sat down on the other side of the door and sighed. I slowly got up and began tip-toeing again.

"Hey you!" Leo screamed from behind me. I froze on my spot.

Why why why why why why?

"Turn around." He commanded. What do I do? After a few seconds of standing still I slowly turned around, faking a huge smile.

"Oh Leo!" I snickered. "What are you doing here?"

"Don't ask like you don't know. You were eavesdropping weren't you?" He crossed his arms and stared at me.

"What? No I wasn't." I stated as I fiddled with the long sleeves of my pajamas.

"Stop denying it."

"Whatever Leo, I'm kind of starving at the moment. If I don't get food in my stomach in approximately 3 minutes and 35 seconds I could eat you." I tapped the invisible watch on my wrist.

"You have been warned." I stated just before turning around and continuing my journey to the kitchen.

"Wait a minute!" He shouted once again. I sighed and turned to face him, my finger tapping my invisible watch once again.

"You're time is ticking."

"Those pajamas. They look very familiar." He stated.

"You probably own a pair yourself, princess." I retorted.

"No that's not it. They look very familiar on you. Like I've seen you wearing it before."

"Okay... I think you need some sleep."

"I'm serious! I've seen you in them before!" He insisted.

"Look, no one, other than Lucy, has seen me in these pajamas before, okay?"

"Hmm... Interesting." He said as he walked towards me, not taking his suspicious gaze off me. He stared for a couple seconds and then walked right past me.

Weirdo. What's his problem anyways? As if he has seen me in my PJs.

Wait! Maybe he did! Shit!
