How It All Began

"Go to VIP Room 1. That patient is under your care and bear it in mind that you can't afford to offend him, do you understand?" Pearl nodded in affirmation and after a long speech by the Head Nurse, she headed straight to her assigned patient's ward. She had been working in this hospital for some months now ever since her internship. Perhaps it was due to her diligence or luck, but the director of the hospital granted her employment on the very day she completed her three-month internship.

She was elated because finding a job in this city was quite difficult especially a good one at that. She was moved to tears upon hearing the director's invitation and signed her employment contract on the spot. S&M Private Hospital was the best hospital in the city and she would do well not to spoil this chance. She worked hard and her efforts weren't futile for she was soon promoted to the VIP ward and had a pay raise as well. Having arrived at her patient's ward, Pearl gave a light knock on the door.
