Shadows of possession

NIGHT>ROMANO'S MANSION

Alesia was laying down on the longest couch in the living room, she was looking even super small on the large couch, with her pajamas. She was reading a novel while picking one after the other from the biscuit she was eating. Her long black hair covered another space on the couch, her naturally red lips which was wet became more redder, she was looking so pretty even if it's late already. her small eyes and long lashes blinking and bashing just beautifully as she focused on the novel.

She was reading quietly until she suddenly stopped and dropped the novel in her hand, she grabbed the pillow on the couch.

"Do you know something?" She asked, as if the pillow could hear her.

"He's the worst guy I've ever seen in the world" she said and scoffed.

"Really?" A voice said from the door.

Alesia slowly turned her head.

She let out a loud gasp when she saw Leonardo standing by the door, looking cold as usual with his hair covering part of his face making him look like a devil he is, the pillow in her hand dropped.

Leonardo's cold eyes still staring at her blankly.

"You might want to repeat all you said," he said.

Alesia bit her bottom lip and sighed out not saying a world.

Leonardo went upstairs without sparring her another glance. And she fell back on the couch.

LEONARDO'S ROOM

Leonardo just finished having his bath, he was only wearing a short while his upper body was naked. His tattooed chest looking as sexy as the abs itself, his wet hair stick on his face and his lips drooling with pinkness.

A knock came on the door and he looked up.

"Come in" he said in his usual cold deep voice.

"Good evening, sir" a maid greeted with a bow. Leonardo nodded.

"Sir do you want your food served here?" She asked.

"I'm not hungry" Leonardo replied dryly.

"You don't want anything at all?" The maid asked

"Get me wine" Leonardo said

"Drop the wine here, when you get it" Leonardo replied and left the bedroom for another inner room

NEXT MORNING<>6AM

Alesia walked out of her room still wearing her pajamas, her long black hair flowing behind her as she walked while humming.

She was still humming, when she got to the staircase, she started climbing down and that moment, Leonardo showed up. He was shirtless and looking sweaty, he just left the gym.

Alesia lost her breath the moment their eyes met and immediately, she missed a step.

"Ahh!!!" she screamed as she started falling, Leonardo moved aside and watched her fall from the stairs to the last floor.

"Ouch!" Alesia let out a cry, as her legs started hurting, thankfully it was just a scratch, she looked up at Leonardo who was still standing.

He sipped from the bottle water in his hand and went upstairs without sparring her a glance.

"Monster" Alesia muttered, tears rolling down her eyes.

Alesia walked into the dining room, surprised to see Leonardo sitting at the table, casually eating breakfast with Ricardo. It was a rare sight; Leonardo's usual routine involved early departures and late-night returns, with little to no interaction. she hesitated for a moment, then joined them, greeting both men politely.

"I'm going out with Camila today," Alesia mentioned casually, hoping to spark some semblance of normalcy in their interaction.

Leonardo looked up, his piercing gaze locking onto hers. "My guards will accompany you," he stated firmly, leaving no room for negotiation. He then reached into his pocket and handed her a sleek back card. "Take this."

Alesia frowned slightly, taking the card but not understanding why. "I have one from my father," she replied, her voice tinged with defiance.

"Return it," Leonardo commanded, his tone brooking no argument. "Keep the one I'm giving you."

Reluctantly, Alesia nodded and put the card in her purse. She knew better than to argue further. Leonardo's authority was absolute, and resisting it only led to further complications.

Later that afternoon, she met up with Camila as planned. The two friends spent hours wandering through boutiques and cafes, the presence of Leonardo's guards a constant, unwelcome reminder of her new reality. As they were browsing a chic little store, they ran into Juan, a charming a vivacious friend from Alesia's past. His warm smile and easy manner were a stark contrast to Leonardo's icy demeanor.

"Juan!" Alesia exclaimed, genuinely pleased to see him. They embraced, and for a moment, she felt a sense of normalcy and joy. Juan's flirty banter and gentle touches were comforting, reminding her of a time when her life had been her own.

As the afternoon wore on, Alesia found herself laughing and relaxing in Juan's company, something she hadn't done in a long time. But all too soon, the shadows of her new life crept back in. She glanced at her watch and realized it was time to return home.

ROMANO'S MANSION>6 PM,

Arriving back at the mansion around 6 PM, Alesia felt a knot of anxiety tighten in her stomach as she entered the living room. Leonardo was there, waiting for her. His posture was tense, and his eyes, usually so unreadable, were filled with a dangerous intensity.

"Who is Juan?" Leonardo's voice was low, but the underlying threat was unmistakable.

"He's just a friend," Alesia replied, her voice steady but her heart racing.

Leonardo stood and closed the distance between them in a few quick strides. He grasped her arm, not painfully but firmly enough to make his point. "I don't want to see you with him again," he warned, his voice a growl. "You are mine, Alesia. Remember that."

His possessiveness sent a shiver down her spine. She had never seen him like this-so openly jealous and possessive. "Leonardo, you're overreacting. Juan is just a friend."

Leonardo's grip tightened momentarily before he released her. "You are my doll, Alesia. I will not tolerate anyone else thinking they can have you."

His words echoed in her mind long after he had left the room. Alesia stood there, feeling a mixture of fear, confusion, and a strange, unsettling thrill. Leonardo's possessiveness was alarming, yet it was the first real emotion he had shown her since their marriage. It was a glimpse into the complex, dangerous man she had married-a man who, despite everything, saw her as his own.

And as much as she hated to admit it, a part of her was drawn to the intensity of his emotions, even as another part of her recoiled in fear.
