Skelengel; Tales Of The Boundless One [Not Updating]

When the universe creates a person, they are bestowed with certain traits that we, as mere humans, are aware of. Sportiness, the ability to work with computers, and creativity are all things we may obtain at creation. However, some of those talents extend far past the mortal realm of flesh and blood. They go all the way to your very soul, and these are the ones that we cannot see. These few are destined to become Boundless. And it just so happens that one was designated to die on the fateful day a new god took sight over the earth. This is the tale of Aaron Stone, the once businessman turned planetary traverser. Aided by himself and his potential, he plans to live out his life with peace of mind. However, the universe has it out for him, and it won't let him ever have true peace. However, someone from behind the shadows controls everything, and they have quite a distaste for Aaron Stone. They will try to make his life a living hell. Everything you read here is an account of something going on in the vast universe. Hell, who knows... It may even be YOU who takes his place in the future. A Small Walk

"Earth?" Coranth asked, a curious look on his face. "Yeah. It's the name of the planet that I originally came from." Aaron explained, tapping the sword on his waist, Tsuyukagiri. "It's where the design of this sword originated," Aaron informed him before realising that he wasn't supposed to speak. He drew a line over his mouth, indicating that he wasn't going to talk anymore for the rest of their little adventure outside. This just left Coranth with more questions than answers, but without any way for Aaron to answer them in public, he let them go to the back of his mind. It was taboo for a person to speak to their familiar. The only exception to this was if the summoner commanded the familiar, so it would be even stranger if the creature replied.

They were in a town, which was good for Aaron. This meant that he would understand how far this world had advanced. It reminded him a lot of the place where he had grown up. A small town near the southeast of Ireland called New Ross. Yes, there was an Old Ross, but not many people lived there. 'Honestly, I thought that, with my luck, we'd be in a place where there would be a whole load of rampant drunkards, although it seems like I won't be getting to associate with the drunkards today.' Soul joked with himself, a smile on his imaginary face.

"How are you doing, Cora? Nice familiar you got there!" A similarly-aged teenager asked Coranth as the two passed each other as they walked, complimenting him on Aaron's presence. "I'm doing fine, but stop calling me Cora!" Coranth replied, putting emphasis on the latter half of the sentence. 'So, Cora must be the nickname that people gave him. He really hates it.' Aaron noted inside of his own head. He was just keeping that in his memory in case he needed to use it at some point later on. It would be funny to get his reaction to Aaron saying his nickname.

As the pair slowed down, taking their time, they finally reached their destination. The two had arrived at a large, almost guild-like building. "This is the familiar-registering station, where summoned creatures go to be actually considered a familiar. After being registered here, they're able to be used in fights, raids and other things." Coranth seemingly said to himself, informing Aaron of where they were. Aaron looked at the building blankly. However, in his head, he was absolutely laughing his eyes out. 'What is this, Pokémon?!' He laughed to himself, causing Memica to make herself known.

[This world is somewhat similar to the game you're referencing, although the humans, otherwise known as trainers, play a more interactive role here than in those games.] Memica informed him, causing Aaron to laugh even more at this new knowledge. 'They're even using the same names?!' Aaron responded, his laughing growing louder. This even had an effect out in real life, which caused Aaron to put his hand in front of his teeth, pretending to hold in a chuckle. Coranth looked at Aaron in confusion, wondering what he was thinking about. "Alright, we're going in now, Aaron," Coranth told Aaron, beginning to walk in. Aaron calmed himself down, preparing to act all professional and obedient. After all, he couldn't act too taboo when he did something like this. If he messed up too hard, then something would happen. Aaron didn't want anything strange to happen. He was just a regular skeleton for this.

Coranth opened the door to the guild, him and Aaron walked through. As the door closed, Tsuyukagiri and its sheathe actually got stuck in-between the wooden door and the frame, causing Aaron to falter for just a second. Aaron walked backwards, opening the door himself without Tsuyukagiri getting stuck. That was one of the disadvantages of having an extremely long sword. Aaron walked up to Coranth. He was talking with a man standing behind a counter. The man tapped some numbers onto a computer that seemed new, and it had a familiar operating system, although the name of it was Wyndows 10, which caused Aaron to chuckle in his head. There were so many similarities between this world and his own that it was uncanny.

"Alright, so your familiar has been registered under the name Aaron Stone. We have to do an ability test to determine the overall strength and grade the familiar is. Because he has a large sword at his waist, I think he'll do pretty well on the test." The man behind the counter said, looking at Aaron's odachi. "A unique design and the fact that it's so long makes me sure that it'll definitely be a C-class familiar, maybe even B-class!" The man explained, a smile on his face. "I'll be the one measuring your abilities, so if you wouldn't mind following me to the testing grounds, we'll have your test started!" The man instructed them, pointing to a door to their right. The pair of them walked towards the door, Aaron making sure that he didn't knock into anything with Tsuyukagiri.

The door opened up, this time wider than the main door, allowing Aaron to walk through without Tsuyukagiri getting caught in it. The pair walked into an almost futuristic room with different training and testing areas built into the building. However, there should be no space for this inside the familiar-registration centre. The training room appeared to take up more space than the original lobby, so how was it here?

"Welcome to the testing rooms! This is where we'll grade Aaron Stone and test how well they can respond to commands!" The man announced, presenting the area with a smile. He enjoyed his job. Every moment he spent here was a dream, something that some people only hoped for. "Alright, Aaron. It's time for you to be tested. Are you ready to showcase to me, and the tester, what you're capable of?"

Aaron just nodded with his hand on Tsuyukagiri's handle. He was ready, and he would do well in this test.
