Taylor's POV..
Thursday, at school...
"Alright class! So we'll be having a play next Friday, and I want you kids to put on a good show!" our art teacher, Miss Amy, says in a cheerful manner.
"Any questions?" she adds, and so I decide to raise my hand.
"Yes, Taylor!" says Miss Amy.
"What story will we be performing, Miss Amy?" I ask in wonders what kind of story we will have to put on. From what I knew, Miss Amy is a hopeless romantic. She enjoys the romantic stuff too much, often times she asked us to perform romantic fairytales in the past.
"Cinderella!" she answers in her casual cheerful tone. This teacher could seem so immature at times. I raise my hand again because I have another question, and she nodded.
"And who's gonna be portraying who?" I ask.
"That's for you kids to decide," she replies 10 minutes before the bell rang. Oh great, so literally we have to get ready before next Friday, portraying a romantic fairytale.
At home...
"So who's gonna be Cinderella?" my twin sister, Eleanor, ask me as she sits on her bed.
"I don't know. The girls literally haven't decide, and the boys doesn't even look serious in this whole play thing," I answer before texting our childhood best friend, Joey. I need to ask him whether he and the boys already decided who they're gonna play.
"Well..I asked Lillian earlier about who she'll be playing. She said she only wants to portray Cinderella if Oliver is the Prince," Eleanor says while checking out her Instagram.
"Ugh..Oliver? I still don't understand what did Lillian ever see in him," I say to my twin sister. If you are wondering, Eleanor and I didn't really like Oliver most of the time. Well, sometimes we even hate him. Why? Well he's not really a bully or anything, but just that he likes to act like a total player and flirts with every girl he see.
"Yeah..sometimes I even wonder," Eleanor answers in a casual tone. "It's not like they're even dating."
"Relationship is just not Oliver's thing. He's having too much fun playing around to even settle down," I say to my twin sister.
Monday, at school...
At the cafeteria...
"We really need to get in character and start practicing! The play is in 4 more days!" Eleanor says in a serious tone.
"Well..I actually don't mind who I'm gonna be," Joey says before taking another bite of his sandwhich.
"And the boys?" Taylor ask in a sarcastic tone.
"Well..Oliver and Tim kept fighting about who should be the prince," Joey says.
"Hmm..I do have an idea," Eleanor says, before drinking her orange juice.
"What is it, Eleanor?" Taylor ask her twin sister with a curious tone.
"Let's gather everyone around and play rock-paper-scissor!" Eleanor says in excitement.
"And...?" Joey ask in confusion.
"The winners will get to portray Cinderella and the Prince," Eleanor says.
"Well, fair enough. Let's do it," Taylor says while feeling excited.
After 7 minutes of trying to get their whole class together, Eleanor, Taylor, and Joey finally gather around with their classmates to play rock-paper-scissor.
"So let me get this straight! If I win, I could kiss the girl who will be playing Cinderella?" Tim ask while moving his hands in his hair. Taylor and Eleanor looks at him disgusted.
"Yeah..so let's just start," Joey says to Tim.
"I hope I win!" Oliver says in a sarcastic and confident tone.
"We hope you don't!" Taylor and Eleanor says at the same time. They sound like they're super annoyed with Oliver, while Lillian stares at Oliver with dreamy eyes.
"Ok, let's start!" Joey says. He later suggested that the girls should start first.
After 3 minutes...
"No way! I won?" Taylor ask in disbelief.
"Yeah you won! Wohoo!" Eleanor says while jumping, being happy that her sister just won the game.
"Congrats Taylor!" Samantha says. She's quite close with Taylor and Eleanor. The other girls also cheered for Taylor, who is still in surprised.
"Ok, enough with that! Let's find out who's gonna be Prince Charming," Tim says. He can't wait to start the game.
"Umm..ok," Joey says.
After another 3 minutes...
"NO WAY!!! Not fair!!" Tim says in fury. He couldn't believe that he didn't win the part.
"OMG!" Eleanor says with a surprised tone.
"Umm..I won," Joey says, feeling a bit nervous now.
"Yeah dude! Congrats," Victor, one of Joey's friend, says to him with a smile.
"Ok then. We can finally start practicing," Eleanor says with a big smile, leaving both Taylor and Joey feeling awkward.
At practice....
"Ok kids! Let's start again from the top!" Miss Amy says.
"Ok," Samantha says. She'll be playing the narrator. "Once upon a time, there was a girl named Cinderella.." Samantha continues her part to narate the story.
Taylor walks on stage and starts to sweep the floor, followed by Cheryl portraying the mail lady, and her three other friends, Paige, Rose, and Alyson portraying the step-mother and step-sisters. After that, Eleanor came up and portrays the fairygod mother.
"Remember, you have to get back before the clock strikes 12," Eleanor says while holding her pretend magic wand.
It didn't took long for the ballroom scene to start. Taylor and Joey starts to dance together in awkward silence. Both of them kept their eyes on each other, trying to send a signal to each other to stay chill and act natural.
"Great! Now can you two pretend to kiss each other?" Miss Amy says in her usual cheerful tone.
"What???" Taylor and Joey both ask in shocked, looking as if they couldn't believe what Miss Amy had just said to them.
