Chapter 36: Gods

As Jihan's vision cleared, he found himself facing a screen a few meters ahead with a number projected on it.

"33? Does that make me one of the last?" he thought.

Looking around, all he could see was darkness. It wasn't empty; although nothing was in sight, by concentrating, Li could feel mana coming from all directions.

"It seems I have no choice but to wait." Despite his position leaving him uneasy, there wasn't much he could do about it.

Sitting on the ground, cross-legged, he began to circulate his mana through his body. The 'training' was simple, but for those not accustomed to using the energy, it helped improve the flow.

Just as exercise improves blood circulation, making mana flow through his cardinal points increased the elasticity of the veins, eventually making it easier for more mana to be transmitted from one place to another at once.
