Chapter 9 : Kasumigaoka Utaha

Clouds of dust and debris flew through the air, creating a horrifying and tense atmosphere.

Resisting one of the ten tentacles that almost pierced his body, Yuki wiped a mouthful of blood from his mouth. While his fragile body was blown away with several broken ribs.

The system's voice began to return to yuki's mind, while he tried to get up due to several broken bones.

Staring at the monster with a mocking smile on his face, yuki cut off one tentacle that was flying towards her quickly before starting to counterattack again.

Cracks began to appear on the tip of the spear yuki was using, signalling the limit that had been reached.

Although Yuki had tried to avoid the confrontation between the spear and the attack of the wild demon, but in fact the power thrown by the wild demon was far from Yuki's expectations.

Even though Yuki faced a significant height difference from the wild demon, Yuki seemed to be able to overcome all that quite well by utilising the attack area of her spear quite well.

Looking at one of its tentacles that had been cut off, the face that had been filled with a sadistic smile now began to turn grim with the gnashing of teeth that began to be heard.

Relaxing his grip from his long spear, yuki began to almost lose consciousness. But just then the system notification sounded loudly.

With a short order from the system, slowly the body that had almost lost its consciousness now began to regain the strength to continue standing with its two legs as basic support.

Yuki vibrated his teeth to continue to survive the shockwave that appeared continuously for several minutes as his bones rubbed against each other.

Slowly the shockwave released by the wild demon stopped with yuki who began to fall to the ground due to the sudden shockwave.

Biting his lower lip as if forcing herself to stand up, yuki slowly began to rise from his seat and returned to holding her long spear calmly.

"Despicable human! I will destroy you this instant!!!" The wild demon roared angrily.

In response to the anger shown by the monster, Yuki said mockingly.

"He~ do you think a lowly monster like you can kill me? don't joke with me, I've even escaped the clutches of a psychopathic yandere demon in the past, and just to face you, I only need to use a little of my great power" yuki said arrogantly even though his body had been destroyed.

Although yuki tried to look tough, but there was a little fear in his heart. The bad experience with the demon race in the past was deeply rooted in yuki's heart.

In response to the tentacle monster that continued to screech its angry cry, yuki strengthened his grip on the long spear that looked pathetic at first glance with confidence.

Looking at yuki with a face filled with hatred, the monster again ran towards yuki with its remaining three tentacles.

In response to his opponent's actions, yuki reaffirmed his holding position appropriately before shouting and running quickly towards the strange monster.

No matter how strong the nature of adaptation was, as long as yuki was still an ordinary human, yuki's body would still reach its limit no matter how he tried to continue defending.

Inhaling all the cold oxygen into his beak, yuki leapt into the air with his spear in his hand. While the demon took out a sharp claw in his right hand.

The two chased each other and tried to end the fight in one final strike.

With the stars glittering in the sky, the clear clouds displayed the beauty of the night sky decorated by the beautiful full moon in the sky.

With its huge body falling downwards, the monster created a rumbling sound as its huge body fell to the earth.

Turning around and seeing his opponent who had fallen with his head cut off, Yuki drew his spear and started walking towards the head.

Staring at the head for several minutes before Yuki smashed it into pieces of skull.

"I've avenged you...My room" yuki looked up at the night sky as he reminisced about his destroyed room.

With that said yuki turned his gaze towards the place where utaha was still at, moving his weak body with difficulty yuki slowly walked towards utaha.

Staring at his for a while yuki then spoke.

"Are you alright?"

"..." no answer

Approaching utaha slowly, yuki began to shake his body for a moment before she realised that Utaha had fainted during the period of his battle with the strange monster.

Seeing this, Yuki couldn't help but think wryly "I'm the one who fought against that wild demon but how come she's the one who fainted".

With that thought, Yuki could only bring Utaha back to his home for now.

Opening her eyes slowly, Utaha felt a terrible dizziness as she just woke up from his long sleep.

Holding her head as if trying to ease the sudden pain, Utaha began to slowly regain consciousness of himself.

Trying to remember what had just happened and the reason why she had lost consciousness, Utaha tried to rise from her sleep while throwing away the wet cloth placed on her forehead. But unfortunately that failed.

Where am I? Am I saved? looking around utaha was still a little confused by what had just happened.

Considering she had just experienced something so out of the ordinary, that made all the logic she had built up over her 17 years of life slowly start to crumble.

Maybe I should say this woman is strong enough not to lose her own rationality and not end up going crazy after experiencing such terror.

Well, unlike yuki who had long experienced the collapse of how he viewed the world since he was a child, which made his go a little crazy due to touching the underworld long ago.

Especially when Yuki had been locked up in a dark room filled with his photos for a whole year.

Looking back at her body, Utaha saw several bandages wrapped around her legs and hands, seeing this Utaha could not help but feel relieved after she was sure that she had been saved.

But when Utaha tried to rise from her sleep, she was startled by the voice of a boy who slowly began to descend from the second floor of this place.

"I advise you to continue lying down and not move much, Kasumigaoka-senpai."

Turning her head to look at the owner of the heavy voice, Utaha saw a teenage boy around the age of 16 or 17 walking towards her. With a bowl of porridge in his hand.

While his body was also covered with a bunch of bandages, especially the bandage on his head was quite striking.

Seeing this, Utaha could not help but pause for a moment. Honestly considering what Utaha saw earlier was quite shocking, where this teenage boy in front of him was having a fierce duel with that strange monster.

"Did you save me?" Utaha asked in a husky voice.

"Well, if I didn't save you maybe you would have woken up in a different place right now senpai" yuki said with a little joke.

"I-that, Te-thank you for saving me, umm?"

"Yuki, Yuki Kato is my name"

"Thank you so much for saving me, Kato - kun"

Seeing this Yuki smiled slightly, put the soup bowl in his hand onto the table, sat beside Utaha and said.

"Eat this to refresh your body"

"I-that's not necessary" Utaha said politely rejecting Yuki's offer.

Seeing this, Yuki shook his head and did not say anything about Utaha's refusal while taking out a small bag and handing it to Utaha.

"Here" said Yuki while handing over the small bag.

"Here! My bag."

"I found it in the corner of the alley so I brought it, I thought it was yours"

"mm~ thank you" Utaha nodded her head.
