The last few hours have been hell for Kai.

He already left the police station an hour ago.

He took out his phone to call his boss, he was supposed to go for his weekend job at the cafe by 12 but he's already late and he needed to change his clothes. He still had on his clothes from last night.

Yelling could be heard from the other side of the phone, his boss was pissed.

He just hopes he'll be able to keep this job

"Boss I'm so sorry something urgent came up I won't be coming today"

"you're fired" this been said the line went dead.

"Wa-wait you don't und..... Hello? Hello??"

"Could this day get any worse I didn't know I was this unlucky"

"Aaaaaish" he yelled and kicked the air, he felt frustrated this was all his fault, that person "aaaaahhhh" why???

Why did he choose to ruin him like this.

Why him? There are like over a million people out there but he was just so unlucky.

The bus arrived he got in and went home.

Merrick headed straight to the fashion industry when he left the police station.

He had a shoot and he was already 5 minutes late. His hair was made, he had his makeup done and he had his outfit changed with help from the designer.

He exuded an air which screamed 'bad boy' when he came out.

He could be a perfect gentleman or the perfect boyfriend in a shoot if he wanted to, he could even choose to be a bad boy when he goes on the runway or in a shoot and he always pulls it off and dominates the audience like a professional.

Thanks to the rumours going about he has recognized by the industry and has been having a lot of proposal's lately. His manager has been having a hard time coping lately and Merrick could be quite stubborn sometimes.

The shoot was meant to be put in the fashion magazine. It was made to suit the tastes of musician idols and also for the public to afford.

"Move over a little to the left and tilt your head a little to the back , Yeah just like that" the photographer was moving towards different angles and making Merrick do different poses while trying to take the best picture so far. It was meant to be professional.

The shoot took quite some time but Merrick thought it was worth it.

The beeping sound of the lock could be heard as Kai punched in the password to unlock the door.

"I'M HOME" he announced as he walked into the apartment his family lives in.

Kai lives alone but sometimes he goes home because he misses his mum and his little sister and today was one of such days.

With all that has happened so far he just wants to spend some time with his family.

A teenager with red curly hair, green eyes and pale skin walked into the

Living room looking at Kai in a disapproving manner "I guess you just figured out you had a family after being away for a month big brother" she spat the word 'big brother' like it was poison. She was a odd girl, since she turned 6 she thinks her brother is way prettier than her and this made her dislike her brother but not very much. Deep down she still loves him.

That's why she was mad at him for not coming home sooner

"Hey Myra"

"Is that how you greet your big brother who's just coming home after a long time Myra hmmm??" A middle aged woman wearing an apron came out of the kitchen and glared at her daughter who was talking rudely to her elder brother. She had long red hair packed up in a messy pony tail and her green eyes looked exhausted.

*Scoffs* "And whose fault is that?" She mumbled but was loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Hey mum" Kai hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek

"Have you eaten"

"No"

He went home to take some rest before he came to his mother's house so it was already late in the evening

"dinner is almost ready just hold on a little bit."

"thanks mum" he sat down on the nearby couch he took the TV remote flipping through station by station on the TV trying to find something entertaining and interesting to watch.

Myra walked over to where he sat and sat beside him. leaning her head on his shoulder she asked "why are you just coming home" *sigh* "work and stuff. why, did you miss me that much" kai asked trying to tease his little sister. "Of course I did it's so boring here without you. I'm always bored" she admitted it. That was new he never expected her to actually admit it. "I'm sorry, I'll try to make it up to you okay??"

she smiled and asked"promise?"

"promise"

she moved closer Kai's arm was around her stroking her arm gently up and down

"so how's work?"

"you know so-so"

"Just so-so?"

"mm-hmmm" she moved lying down on the couch putting her head on his lap so he switched over to stroking her red curly hair. she could act clingy sometimes and kai loved this part of her. He loved his sister

"is it enough ?"

"what?"

"The income? are you living ok?" he hesitated for a while before replying

"yeah I guess"

"That means it isn't enough right?"she paused a little and continued when she saw that he was probably not going to give an answer

"So last week I went to karaoke with my friends and I have a friend who's sister work for a modelling agency and sh....." she was cut off

Kai groaned "oh not this again Myra we talked about this I don't want to be a model"

"I know that but could you please let me finish? This is different"

"oh yeah?" .

"mm-hmmm"

"So what's it about"

"The post of an assistant, there's this upcoming supermodel he has been gaining fame lately and he's looking for an assistant who would be able to take care of some of his basic needs while his manager is out accepting business proposals." his eyes widened

"That's huge" ..

" So what do you say?" as if contemplating he asked

"where you got this information from is legit right?" being doubted made Myra feel untrustworthy so she stood up went into her room and came back with a card in her hand

"Here"

"Who are you?" Kai asked her surprised at his little sister

"Uhm you're supposed to say thank you" he picked her up princess style and spun her around

"I love you sis."
