SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS

Every little girl's fantasy is to live a wonderful life full of riches and luxuries. This was the future she imagined, and she was willing to go to any length to obtain it. She was spoiled, pampered, and doted on by her family, and she was proud of herself. She knew she deserved the best, and she went for it. This, however, is where the nightmare began. Wanting to leave the clutches of poverty wasn't as simple as she believed, given the things she had to give up, the humiliation she had to endure, and the numerous things she had to lose. It was not worthwhile. When she thought she had it all, she was slapped in the face with the cold, hard truth: she was only a SUBSTITUTE. And when two of her closest companions turned on her and betrayed her, she was shoved aside and got humiliated by people she used to know. With nothing and no one to lean on, she was forced to make decisions. Decisions that gradually resulted in something breathtakingly amazing. [DING! SIGN IN! THE HOST HAS BEEN REWARDED WITH ******]

CHAPTER 39

The Frin Women Fighting Against Cancer Organization was promoting another charity event of theirs, a marathon event. Since it wasn't raining, there was no fear of any mishaps happening and the marathon was going to take place during the weekend.

They had been promoting this for a while now, and she was lucky enough to come across it. She took a flyer and returned to the foundation.

That was another chance for the foundation to do another good deed and expose itself to the public.

Diamond took the flyer back to the foundation and informed everyone about attending that event. They needed to register when the time came and the price of the tickets was determined by whether one was an individual, company, or charitable organization.

Everything was for a good deed, so she was planning on letting the foundation join this event.

As the public relations department was very busy with the recruitment task, she gave the accounting department the crazy task of getting every employee some regalia with their brand like t-shirts, caps, bands, and so on.

They needed something that represented them, and that needed to be done ASAP.

Around lunch on that day when Diamond was out, Ruby, who didn't have time from the morning, finally took a cab to the 4S dealer to get her car. The girl who had taken her driver's license back when she was at school and could drive even her parents' car happily drove her car back to the foundation.

She didn't dare show off her car to the other staff but kept her cool. Of course, the news still spread and when she was asked, she happily told them that she passed and the car was her reward.

Everyone congratulated her and wished her well.

Getting branded clothing wasn't a difficult thing. Diamond had already created a logo for the foundation when she registered back then.

As the foundation was called DIAMOND OF HOPE, she causally drew a diamond that was surrounded by a heart with some wings on the top.

So, what the staff had to do was get everyone's t-shirt sizes and several colors and let the embroiders do their job.

Time quickly flew by and during that week, Diamond had Andrea search for every single piece of information on the cancer organization. She didn't want to be associated with bad eggs, as that would eventually tarnish her name, and she didn't want that.

Andrea was very efficient. He managed to find even the financial statements for the organization for the past few years. After going through them, she had a positive vibe towards the charity organization.

Since she was already on that, she instructed Andrea to look into the other charity organizations, whether well-known or unknown.

Ruby was so in love with her car. She was driving herself to and from work, saving her the torture of going to the foundation every day as some things could be done when she was at home.

The t-shirts and caps were brought to the foundation on a Thursday and they all looked pretty. They were distributed to their respective owners, and each person received two at one go.

Even Diamond received her own. They registered for the event on Tuesday and all twelve of them were going to participate in the marathon.

For those that would enter the top ten, Diamond had promised a huge reward for them, so the staff was looking forward to the day.

Diamond met Cecilia on Thursday, the lady was inviting her to a friend's birthday party on the coming Sunday, and Diamond accepted the invitation. It was time to make friends.

Cilicia wanted to go shopping with her on Saturday but she politely declined and ended up telling her about the event she was going to attend.

Cecilia became very interested and wanted to join as well. In the end, Cecilia and two more of her friends also joined in the marathon and showed off their moments, resulting in several others paying attention to the event.

On Saturday morning, it was a busy moment for everyone at the foundation. The twelve individuals were all dressed in branded t-shirts and wearing caps.

They were going to take the minibus as the vehicle carried more people than any other car combined.

The mini-bus was driven towards the destination and on the way, they all sang and had some fun. The I.T. guy was in charge of recording the journey, as the guy was more of a nerd and wasn't interested in anything else apart from tech and computers.

The drive was an hour and some minutes, so they soon arrived at their destination. The area was filled with cars and a lot of people wearing pink t-shirts, which was the color of the cancer organization.

When they arrived, they met with the organizers and received their tags. At the same time, they also promoted the event and bought some bands from the cancer organization that they wore in their arms.

Several people were wearing their own branded clothes, so it wasn't just them alone. As they hadn't eaten anything, the gang bought some food and began to eat as they waited for the event to start.

Cecilia and her friends also arrived, and this increased their group by five or so people. With some people she knew who weren't employees, Diamond felt happy and began to chat more freely.

Cecilia and her friends were a bit famous, and they were acquaintances of some people belonging to some organizations and companies, so they got to talk.

And Diamond was introduced. Cards were exchanged, and they made acquaintances in this way.

The event finally started, and those who registered to run were on the mark. Diamond happened to be one of the people who joined that marathon. Exercising wasn't a big thing, as she had gotten used to it.

Although she had never run that long before, she wanted to try to see if she could achieve something.

Ruby wasn't planning on running, so she, the tech guy, and three others remained to cheer while the runners started their marathon.

Maybe it was because of the water she drank every day, or the medicinal pills she always pops here and there; that she didn't feel exhausted as she ran.

It was simply something she was awed by as she ran.
