CHAPTER 38

Although the economy wasn't great, Athary was one of the countries that founded three car manufacturing companies.

The Angel brand was part of **** car manufacturing company in Athary. The same was true for the Arcadelle SUV of hers that belonged to another company. The small cars she bought belonged to another company as well.

Ruby didn't care what brand of car she got as long as the car was good, and beautiful and could make her look good when she was around people.

She was a teenager and a human being; peer pressure could truly be a motivating factor.

Seeing the sleek sedans in the garage, Ruby's eyes lit up. Diamond let Ruby go wild, it was going to be her car so the little girl could pick whichever one she wanted.

However, Ruby was given a maximum limit, which was A$100,000. Ruby was still a student, so she shouldn't even think about getting an expensive car like the one she drives.

Ruby wasn't mad at Diamond after hearing that. She was thinking that Diamond would pick a car like those at work which didn't sit well with her, and now that she could pick up a car that was up to A$100,000 she was happy.

The salesman was very eager to show Ruby around after hearing the maximum limit, and Diamond simply followed around. After checking the cars for like twenty minutes, Ruby finally fell in love with a red car that caught her eye.

"I want this one!" Ruby's eyes were sparkling like stars as she looked at Diamond.

Ruby's choice of car didn't bother Diamond as it looked modest and pretty to the eyes. The most important thing was that the car was priced at A$78,000, which was lower than the limit and acceptable.

"You are sure about this?" Diamond asked to confirm, as she didn't want Ruby to regret it later.

"I am very sure," Ruby nodded her head firmly, her eyes determined to get to that car no matter what.

The red car belonged to the third company that Diamond chose for the foundation's cars. The car was a model that came out one year ago, a 2-liter engine capacity, petrol-fuelled, two doors, and the name was pretty to call out.

"It's a good choice and suitable for ladies. The Cheetah U model is ...…'

Another lesson started and only Ruby was interested in listening to it. Diamond was busy looking at the other cars. Maybe in the future, she could buy another car for herself, which was highly unlikely as she preferred cars from the system.

Diamond paid for the car after the wonderful lesson and the car was to be collected the next day when the plates were fixed and all that.

When they were done, Ruby left reluctantly, but knowing that she would be driving it the next day, she quickly became very happy once more.

Since they were out, Diamond decided to do some more shopping for Ruby. The sisters bought more clothes, shoes, and bags before going back home.

School stuff would be bought later when Ruby gets accepted or when she chooses which school she wants to attend.

The next day, Diamond drove Ruby to work and held a meeting for all departments.

After summing up what needed to be done that week, everyone knew what to do. They were going to be helping a number of people on the list that they managed to draft. As the list used to be long, Diamond decided to only help those who couldn't help themselves or at least didn't have people who could help them.

Among the sick, there are two types of patients, the less critical and the critical ones.

Helping those that were critical was of greater importance and the foundation didn't forget that its main goal was to help the girl child. Diamond was very concerned about the girl child the most, so she was biased towards them the most.

She didn't need to be personally there, so she left this job to her staff and went to check on Cindy and Agatha. She held a meeting with the two and left with a smile on the second floor.

After that, she checked on the building's progress before leaving to check on the other building. All the burnt marks were gone, and the building from the outside looked very new, which was a huge relief.

The walls had been demolished, and she believed that in the targeted time they gave her, the building would be ready for use.

When she was done, she went to check the studio apartment she was rewarded with. After showing her pass to the security guards, she drove in smoothly and found a parking space to park her car.

When she got out of the car, she looked at the tall buildings in the complex and sighed, "One day I will have my own apartment complex."

Having such a huge complex like this would mean a constant flow of rental income. Just thinking of earning a lot of money through tenants, Diamond was looking forward to the future.

She found the building where her apartment was and quickly got into the lift. The lift stopped on the first floor and a young lady walked in.

"Hello," the lady politely greeted her.

"Hello, how are you?"

Just like that, the two began to talk in the lift and they both found out that they were going to the sixth floor, so they became a bit close to each other.

The lady that Diamond came across happened to be renting an apartment on the sixth floor and was also her neighbor. Diamond's apartment was number 605 while the lady's whose name was Eugene was in 603.

The floor has ten apartments in total, with each apartment having a bedroom, living room, and kitchen in a single room. However, the rooms were very huge which made the whole apartment look spacious.

When Diamond checked the apartment, she was happy with it and, for a single person, Ruby would manage beautifully here.

The apartment was empty, so Diamond needed to fill up the place.

After checking the apartment, she left once again. And, on her way back to the foundation, she came across a promotional event that interested her.

So, she was forced to stop and personally make a visit. And see for herself what was happening there.
