To Slowly Move On [Part 5]

Akira finished reminiscing his past as he tried to get a sense of his surroundings again but this time he didn't give up.

He felt like he still existed but also didn't at the same time.

Was he in some kind of void? Would some Random Omnipotent Being give him wishes?

He hoped so. But would he even be given such a chance?

He was after all what people could call "Evil". He was unable to empathize with anyone besides his sister.

For the first time in his life at the age of 13, he killed someone. He thought he would feel sad, guilty, or regretful but all he felt was satisfaction.

He didn't know that this wouldn't be the end of his crimes.

The First time he killed someone was for his sister.

The Second time he killed someone was for his sister. He peeled the skin of three kids and burnt them alive.

The Third time he killed someone was for his sister. He orchestrated a truck accident.

The Fourth time he killed someone was for his sister. He burnt a house down killing everyone inside of it.

The Fifth time he killed someone was for his sister

Sigh, When did murder become such a casual thing for him? To him murder was not about killing someone anymore it was about not getting caught afterwards.

He had also grown to control his emotions regarding his Sister. So even if he had to kill someone he would wait for months till it was safe to kill.

For Akira, it felt like an eternity had passed as he passed time within his thoughts. Weird theories, notions, ideas kept coming into his head. He knew that if got lost in his own thoughts in this never-ending stretch of darkness then he would slowly but surely turn into a crazy person.

He needed to ensure his sanity. There was a chance of him getting reincarnated, transmigrated, or isekaid.

There was just this little hope that he had. Maybe, just maybe he could get reincarnated into some kind of fantasy world. If he does then he would do anything he could to revive his sister.

He 'forced' himself to sleep.

What he didn't notice was that besides him was the very one he craved for.

'ONII-CHANNNN!!!!!'

'Where am I!? What is this place!?'

She tried searching for Akira but she wasn't able to move. She noticed that she couldn't see, hear or move at all.

'Where am I and Why did our house fall down all of a sudden?' She wondered. 'Couldn't it have fallen down a few hours later?'

'Did I die? But why!?' She was supposed to move out with her brother next year, marry him, and officially become his. She was supposed to spend the rest of her life peacefully with him.

'Wait!' Was she in some kind of scenario where a god or something would give her wishes? She could then reincarnate herself and her brother!

'Yes!'

She had read many novels with reincarnation and giving wishes scenarios. Weren't they all in a similar situation as her? She hoped no one was reading about her though she didn't like it when someone invaded her privacy.

Feeling proud of her deduction she started waiting for "God" to appear.

An Hour Later,

'Uhm? Hello? God, Where are you?'

Two Hours Later,

'Why isn't he showing up yet? His sense of time must be different than puny mortals like me, Yeah, that must be the reason.'

Five Hours later,

'God? R.O.B? Goddess? Anyone there? Help me please I'm a soul stuck in the void. Consider giving me some wishes, please. Don't you love souls that get stuck in the void?'

'Please?'

Ten Hours Later,

'Why!? Why isn't anyone showing up?' She had been a good girl her whole life. She never killed somebody, She never bullied anybody, She never even harmed anybody.

An Unknown Time Later,

'Please...Someone Please....' She knew she was being delusional but she wanted to escape reality. She didn't want to keep on remembering what had happened.

She was weak, So weak that she couldn't even save herself or her brother. What was worse was that she became a burden for her brother and became the cause of his death.

Knowing that the one she loved so much was dead because of her was making her go crazy. The guilt was eating her up. She didn't know if she could retain her sanity. To be alone in this kind of infinite darkness was no less than torture.

What was worse was the guilt and pain.

When was the last time she was so alone in her life?

In The Living Room At The Moment,

Two kids could be seen sitting in front of the TV. On the screen, two people were fighting. One was a hero in spandex while the other was a villain in a black suit.

One of them was a boy around 8 years old with spiky black hair and eyes.

While the other was an adorable girl around 7 years old with straight long white hair and pink eyes.

Currently, both of them were watching a superhero cartoon. After some time the villain who wanted to sacrifice 20% of the human population was defeated by the Hero and arrested.

Sakura tilted her head in confusion and asked.

"Onii-chan~?"

"Hmm?" He looked at her wondering what she wanted. The current Akira didn't have that dull attitude and couldn't even be compared to his future self.

"Why did the villain lose?" She asked.

"Uhm, Maybe because he was evil and I heard that justice always wins over injustice." He had learned this phrase in school today, He felt smart using it like this.

"But didn't he just want to bring his sister back to life?" Her 7-year-old mind couldn't comprehend the fact that sacrificing 20% of the population was morally wrong.

For her, The villain just wanted to bring the one he loved so much back to life. She felt it was sweet in her opinion.

"Yeah, but he wanted to kill a lot of people so....." He felt a little bad for the villain, All he wanted was to bring his sister back. Was it his fault that he cared more about his sister than some random people?

"But we were taught in school that success is achieved by hard work. Then why did the villain lose? He worked so hard but the hero couldn't beat him so he went back in time to defeat him. Isn't this cheating?" She puffed her cheeks in dissatisfaction. Did her school lie to her?

"Well, He was a Villain Sakura and Villains never win."

"Why?"

"I don't know"

"Sakura-chan, Akira-kun, Lunch is ready!"

They bickered back and forth until their nanny called them for lunch.

""Hai"" They answered simultaneously and went to have lunch. They sat down and had lunch peacefully while talking about what happened in school today.

After finishing their meal Sakura left for her room and Akira went to do his homework from school.

-----------------------------------

After entering her room she jumped on the bed and enjoyed the fluffiness in satisfaction for a few moments. She moved her hand under her pillow and pulled out a notebook from underneath it.

The notebook had a weird title, "My Days With Onii-Chan Part 5".

Flipping the notebook open she came to a blank page and took a pencil from the desk beside her bed.

'Mmm' Trying to focus on writing neatly she was unconsciously stuck her tongue out.

Adding the heading "Day 842 With Onii-Chan" to the page, She started writing.

"Dear Diary,

Today me and Onii-chan were watching a very cool superhero cartoon but I felt bad that the villain lost. He was only trying to bring his sister back to life. He worked really hard too but the hero cheated and went back in time.

Hmm, would Onii-can do something like that for me? Yup, he definitely would and since heroes don't exist he wouldn't lose and even if they did then Onii-chan would beat them, He is the best. Stupid Heroes."

Her friend had told her about diaries 2 years ago and showed them off. Looking at her she wanted to write too but she didn't know what to write about so she started writing about her days with her brother

Closing her notebook in satisfaction she looked around the room and noticing no one was around she hid the notebook under her bed and started sleeping.

------------------------------

Akira yawned as he stretched his hands after finishing his homework. 'I wonder what Sakura is doing.' He jumped off his chair and started heading towards Sakura's room.

Reaching the door of her room he sneakily opened it, He was planning to prank her.

When he got inside he saw Sakura sleeping on her bed. He pouted in dissatisfaction. What was he supposed to do now? He couldn't just wake her up.

His eyes lit up as he tiptoed to her bed. Stretching his hand out he moved it under her pillow slowly, Making sure she wouldn't wake up.

He moved his hand around searching for something. As he was searching, his hand froze as he saw Sakura slowly move. He stayed like that for a few moments and noticed that she was still sleeping.

'Whew', He relaxed.

He looked under it for a few more moments but couldn't find it. He looked around and went to her desk, He searched the desk but didnt find it there either. He frowned in annoyance. 'Where could she have kept it'. His eyes landed on her bed.

He started searching under her bed and his eyes lit up as he found it. He pulled the notebook out and felt proud of his cleverness.

Flipping it open he searched for the newest entry. He knew looking at someone's diary was considered bad manners but it was his sister's so it should be fine, right?

Reading through what she wrote today he felt a little proud seeing her believe in him so much. As for what he would do if he was in the position of the villain?

'Hmm, Sakura or Random People?'

'Sakura' He immediately chose her.

He put a hand under his chin and took a calculator from her desk.

'Dad said the population of the earth was around 7 billion'

He started typing in it, 'How many zeroes were there in a billion? Nine?'

He put 7 billion in and chose the % option in the calculator and typed 20, After that he pressed enter.

The answer came out as 1,400,000,000.

Looking at the number he put a hand under his chin.

'1.4 billion random people or Sakura.'

Choosing Sakura Over 1.4 billion people seemed pretty reasonable to him.

'Well of course they can't compare to Sakura so why should I care about them.' Not noticing how morally wrong this thought was, He slowly put the notebook back to where it was and went back to his room
