Chapter eleven: Shopping with my sis (๑•﹏•)

"It's time to prepare yourself for breakfast, so get ready.

Don't forget to get yourself ready for the outing with Sabrina."

"Yes Aunt Lang, I have everything prepared," replied Nathalia.

Nathalia had a passion for travel, both within the pages of a book and in the outside world.

After a quick shower, she carefully chose her outfit.

She opted for a royal blue dress adorned with delicate rose patterns.

Preferring a natural look, she lightly dusted her cheeks with some powder.

With her laptop and credit card in her bag, she hurried downstairs.

_I can't believe I'm going out with this person_

Sabrina thought as she watched Nathalia descend the staircase.

"Good morning to everyone," Nathalia greeted everyone politely before taking a seat.

Noticing that her older sister had already finished breakfast, she hastily ate her own meal and soon finished.

_My sister looks like an angel,_

Nathalia thought with pride.

She stood up, excused herself, and gently grabbed her sister's left arm as they headed out.

Sabrina forced a smile, concealing her discomfort.

Once outside, she no longer felt the need to put on a show of sisterly affection and pulled her arm away from Nathalia's grasp.

"Do you want to rip my arm off?!"

"I'm sorry, I was just too excited," Nathalia apologized.

_What a crazy person, is she really from the same family as me?_

If only Nathalia could hear the thoughts that her sister harbored towards her, she wouldn't have worn such a cheerful smile on her face.

Both entered a car driven by Patrick.

Their first stop was Lijiang Yuyuan, where they needed to buy shoes and jewelry for the ball.

Although Nathalia wasn't attending the ball, she still wanted to purchase something for herself.

During the journey, Nathalia pointed out the popular sights of Jiang City from the car window.

She specifically chose Lijiang Yuyuan because it was far from home.

Along the way, they passed the large and tall Li Electronics building, but Nathalia decided not to mention such a place to her older sister.

Boss Li had just arrived when the girls drove by.

He was wearing black spectacles and engrossed in a novel, which he held with his long, snow-white fingers.

His left hand was tucked into his pocket while he read the book with the other hand. He looked absolutely captivating, causing some women who passed by to stumble or stare in awe.

He didn't show any signs of tiredness or appear like someone who had stayed up all night reading romance novels.

Upon arriving at his office, he settled into his usual leather chair and continued reading the novel.

The previous day, Secretary Liang had given him sufficient advice, eliminating the need for any more. Consequently, he now possessed a comprehension of the art of seduction and could finally find solace. With the novel closed, he made his way towards the white sofa, subsequently drifting off into a peaceful slumber. Upon seeing his superior snoozing, Liang was on the verge of presenting him with the day's schedule.

_ Even in his sleep, boss appeares strikingly handsome,_

Liang thought to himself. It was not an easy task for a heterosexual man to pay a compliment to another, but when faced with someone as commanding as Boss Li, there was no alternative than to do so. _By the way, why was Boss Li acquiring the skills of flirtation?_

"Have you finished marveling at my presence, or should I assume specific poses to please you?" That deep, chilling, arrogant voice resonated, capable of instilling fear in anyone born of a woman. He slightly opened his left eye, casting a gaze in Liang's direction. In fear for his own life, Secretary Liang hurriedly exited the room without daring to look back. Meanwhile, the two exquisite ladies had arrived at their destination and were presently engaged in shopping. The bond between them was strong until a specific thought emerged in Nathalia's mind. When Aunt Lang had packed Sabrina's belongings, she made it known to their father that there were no medications in her bag. How could she possibly survive without medicine? "Sabrina, may I pose a question to you?" Sabrina innocently nodded in agreement. At the very least, she wanted to assist in stimulating her sister's intellect. "Since your return, I haven't observed you take any medications. Our mother informed us that you had an ample supply, but I haven't seen any. Where are they?" How could Sabrina present medication that she did not possess or was unaware of? After undergoing an operation upon her arrival in the United States, the tumor had been successfully removed. The USA was a beautiful country, and she desired to remain there for a longer period. Hence, she and her mother devised a plan to feign the illness, allowing her to prolong her stay in the US. "I left them at my apartment in the US. This condition causes me to suffer from memory loss. We can purchase some after this," Sabrina innocently explained to Nathalia, distancing herself from any blame.

_Whew, that was a close call, I nearly fell into the trap._

Sabrina thought.
