Visit to Hometown

After continuous days of training, YG had finally given them a break. And two weeks at that! It was Mid December, and the winter break had just begun. The five of them were going back home. So-Young decided to be productive during these two weeks and complete her smart phone. It was half way done and only the coding and few other minor adjustments were left.

It was late in the evening when all the girls were going back. The sun set, created a gorgeous purple color, with hues of orange and red. It was the rush hour and it was hard to catch a taxi at this time. The girls had to wait for a long time. So-Young was extremely excited to go back home. She deeply missed the family time they had together.

She reached home late at night, and was greeted by the sight of her parents. She paid the taxi fee and rushed up to them. She spoke to them while crushing them into a hug.

So-Young : "I missed you guys so much!"

Dad : "We did too! Our girl is a celebrity now! we will be seeing you less from now on!"

So-Young : "No way! I'll take you with me wherever i go."

Mom : "We both were waiting for you! What took you so long?"

So-Young : "It was the rush hour. It took a long time to catch a ride."

Dad : "Lets go inside. It is getting late."

The three of them went in and when they sat down in the living rom, a sleepy taetae walked in with his clumsy steps. He was still half asleep and had no idea that his sister was home.

Taetae : "Mommy! Why are you up?"

He looked up only to notice his sister sitting down and looking at him with a bright smile. He rushed up to her as fast as his small legs could carry him. He pounced in her.

Taetae : "SISTERRR! YOU ARE HOME!"

So-Young hugged the little one tightly. She had throughly missed the him.

So-Young : "I missed you so much my lil bro!"

Taetae : "I am not a little boy! I am a big boy now!"

So-Young : "Yes, yes. My Taetae has gotten so big."

Mom : "It is really late now. Go to sleep. We will talk tomorrow."

Taetae : "I want to sleep with sister!"

Mom : "Your sister is tired, let her sleep."

Taetae : "NO! "

So-Young : "It is okay mom. I missed him too."

Dad : "Let them be. Come on, let us go."

Mom : "Sigh, okay but get up early. Around 7 am. we have something to do tomorrow. "

So-Young : "What is happening?"

Dad : "You will get to know tomorrow. Go to sleep now."

So-Young : "Good Night!"

Mom : "Good Night!"

Dad : "Sweet dreams"

Taetae : "Night Night!"

So-Young had slept really well. She always did when she came back home. She woke up really early the next morning. Even before her mother told her to. She went out for some exercise and was back in time. Her mother was standing in the hallway with multiple suitcases.

So-Young : "Mom, what is with the suitcases. Are we going somewhere?"

Mom : "Yes, we are going to our hometown"

So-Young : "Our hometown? Why? We never went before."

Mom : "Your grandparents saw you on TV. They were very eager to meet you. We moved to the city and gradually grew apart from them. When they called up, we were extremely happy."

So-Young : "Really? I never knew. I assumed that something happened."

Mom : "well, they were angry at your dad for leaving them. But I think they were searching for an excuse to call us back."

They packed all the necessities and left for their hometown. So-Young was brought all the things needed to complete her smartphone with her. They reached in a few hours. Taetae was tired after the long journey and was asleep in his dad's arms. The air in the country side was fresher compared to that of Seoul. The four of them got off the car and removed their luggage. So-Young's father - Kim Myung-soo - was about to ring the doorbell of So-Young's grandparents house when the door opened and he was hugged tightly by his mother. She spoke with tears in her eyes.

Grandmother : "Myung-Soo... Why did you take so long to come back?"

Her voice was quivering while she spoke. So-Young's father was also teary when he was in her embrace.

Dad : "Mom... I'm home."

Grandmother : "Come on in. Your brother and his family is here too."

Dad : "Elder brother is here too?"

Grandmother : "Yes, he came yesterday."

Mom : "hello mom."

Grandmother : "Min-hee, how have you been?"

Mom : "We have been well. This is So-Young, and this is Tae-Young."

So-Young : "Hello grandma!"

Grandmother : "Hello child. Come here, let me take a look at you."

She took So-Young's hands into hers and gazed at her affectionately.

Grandmother : "I see you got all your looks from your mother. No wonder you turned out so well."

So-Young : "Thank you grandma!"

All of them walked inside and saw many people sitting in the living area. It was stuffed. So-Young's father was trying to please his father and elder brother. It took only a few minutes. They were soon chatting happily. At first glance, So-Young's grandfather looked intimidating. But everyone close to him knew that he was a easy-going person. Kim Min-Hee was chatting with her sister in law. She called So-Young and introduced her.

Mom : "This is my daughter, So-Young. And the one sleeping is my youngest, Tae-Young"

So-Young : "Hello Aunty!"

Aunty : "Hi So-Young. How old are you?"

So-Young : "I turned 13 this year."

Aunty : "You are A year elder than my oldest. I hope you get along well."

Her aunt called her son and he walked up to them. So-Young felt that he looked really familiar. He shyly introduced himself.

Boy : "Nice to meet you. I am Kim Tae-Hyung."

So-Young was shocked when she heard him. She went blank.
