Chapter 38: The Alpha in the Cave
In the dream, she remained her brown wolf and indulged in a good stretch as the sun rose high in the sky toasting the ends of her fur. She shook out that fur, relishing the adrenaline that flowed through her veins as the deliciousness of the sun permeated and soaked into her skin. She found herself lifting in the air and floating until she landed on the beach of Deadswamp Island. She began running against the wind under the sun.
She ran until she spotted a white fur-ball in the distance.
“Cara?” she called out happily to the fur, and she began to yip noisily jumping up and down.
Desiree ran towards her faster and faster but found that she was unable to close the distance between them. As the sun set, her fur began to cool and Cara began to disappear.
“Wait! Cara! Wait for me! I’m coming!!!”
