Chapter 2: Getting Acquainted To The System

Last night was weird I start thinking as I wake up in my bed 'Ding-dong' [Host has awakened please check the panels] I hear the mechanical voice from inside my mind and I also see a small green dot in the corner of my vision, so I focus on it slightly, then a window expands in the corner of my vision until it looks like a screen in front of me.

{The Shifter King System welcome you, Host. please open your status panel to finish initialization and setup}

I read the panel names, I see there are a few locked panels but the system had reminded me to first check my status panel so that's what I do.

>Personal Status<

Name: Ethan Ray

Age: 24 years

State: human(werewolf first shift imminent)

Rank: Lone wolf (sigma)

Level: 1

Experience: 400/50 (will level up upon leaving this panel)

Health: 100/100

Energy: 100/100

Strength: 25 (10 is normal human)

Dexterity: 18 (10 is normal human)

Endurance: 30 (10 is normal human 16 is normal werewolf)

Alignment: not decided reach level 10 to choose your alignment

Notes; For a human you have decent stats you must have been quite the gym rat, and how did you get endurance to nearly double that of a base werewolf, were you training for underground fights or something?

I look at my stats and can see that the gym was really paying off and yeah I knew I was durable as I grew up on a farm and sometimes had to work for a day or three on no sleep, then I exit that panel and get a notification [Host has leveled up twice lvl 1 400/50 exp lvl 2 350/100 exp lvl 3 250/200 exp. you are now level three and have gained 6 stat points to distribute as you see fit] I look at the notification in shock and know where the blood that was on my clothes must have come from, I'm guessing that I must have gotten into a fight while I blacked out especially after reading that I have become a werewolf and nearly dying from that stab wound, I can't remember anything from that time though, I just hope that I didn't kill anybody who didn't deserve it, Then I look at the other panels, and I start with the inventory panel, I looks like I can use it to store things inside, as I pick up a coffee cup and try to set it inside I get a notification [would the host like to store item; coffee cup 12 oz. capacity in storage?] <yes> <no> I focus and select yes, the coffee cup is then transported from my hand to the storage [warning host has stored an item in his inventory this item will be soul bound to the user now, please refrain from using this storage carelessly] then I exit the inventory tab and look at the only other tab that is unlocked >Quests< there are 4 available

Main quest: reach level 10 and survive your first full moon. Reward: choosing your first class and werewolf alignment

Daily quest: 100 push ups 100 sit ups 100 squats 100 pull ups 6.3 mile run. You are already strong for a newborn werewolf, but it doesn't hurt to reinforce the basics. Reward(s) improved physique 25% chance to gain a random stat point

Pack quest: Turn 10 people into your pack members. the strength of the wolf is in it's pack and the strength of the pack is in its wolves. Reward: these first ten members of the pack will be turned with a 100% success rate, so you can even turn those friends who might not make the change successfully on their own(chance for a rare subtype to be made is also increased by 30%)

Territory Quest: Acquire a "Den" or home base for the pack members. Wolves are territorial by nature and werewolves are even more so, you'll need to acquire a home for the pack be it a bar hotel warehouse or some other building you and your future pack members will need a base of operations. Rewards: pack members have all stats boosted while in pack territory as well as higher rate of healing, and the ability to detect enemies while within its borders exp gain rate is boosted as well.

After reading through the four quests, I feel both terrified and excited, as I can see a direct goal in front of me, though I don't really know how I am supposed to gain experience so far though I believe it has something to do with fighting, but I can figure it out while I work on the other quests. I think I will start with the daily quest and go from there.
