Thoughts

After taking a breath of relief for everything they passed Hiro and Erin decided to go home. Hiro insisted to walk her home even though he lived in a totally different part of the town. While walking Erin wanted to open a conversation, she couldn't stay silent. It was in her nature.

• You know, tomorrow will be my first day at school - her happiness while saying that was contagious. It was almost november so the other kids were now used to going to school. But for her it was something new, something she dreamed about. Hiro couldn't help but smile back at her.

• Which school are you going to ? - he asked with a serious face.

• The one that your going to! I don't know which class but I hope it's yours! - she responded strongly.

While blushing he said - I hope so too - with a low voice.

But the road was silent so Erin heard him very clearly and smiled back to him. Hiro couldn't hide his happiness so he smiled back.

I didn't take much and the two arrived at Erin's house. They said goodbye to each other and separated. Erin watched Hiro's figure walking away, she felt sad but at the same time glad that she would see him tomorrow. She got in her bed and tried as hard as she could to fall asleep, so when the next time she would open her eyes it would be "the new day".

Hiro meanwhile was in deep thought

• I need to get stronger. I need the power to make a difference. How come she is so important to me? I don't understand it and yet I want to be stronger for her. The things she said were so honest and she is like a ray of light. I must be the best so that I could protect her. I think school will be fun now.

After arriving home, he entered by the back door and went to his room. Gave a bow at his mother picture and went to bed.
