A busy day

"Ben you need to check this out," said Alex who made it a point to annoy me who is working from home on a design. So this Nutmeg also initiated to stay and work with me. Creating chaos to Little Bud and everyone around.

"What is it?" I asked almost spilling the cup of tea I was holding.

"Can you please help me double-check this?"

"Is there anything wrong?" I asked pondering over the file he gave me.

"See how could these two be different"

I went through the file again for a few minutes and helped him with what was wrong. And we went back to work. I got him to help me out with some ideas for the upcoming design.

"Guys, breakfast," Sarah came in with some pancakes and fruit.

"Thanks, sweety," I said to her with a hug.

"Did Meg call you?"

"Hmmm, I think she is still on duty. I didn't get to spend more time with her because of her crazy schedule," said Alex with a sad face.

"She will have a three-day off next week, why don't you plan a holiday?"

"Thank you, little Bud, you are a lifesaver. And Ben you check these out till I plan a surprise for her,"

"Then who will do my work?"

"Oh!! .... Ahmmmm ... let Sarah do them.."

Alex ran off, without waiting to be hit by Ben, making a comical atmosphere.

"Let him be, I will help you," said Sarah taking the design I was doing.

"SIlly," I said checking, out the file in hand.

We went on working for a few hours, till Jason came in with some documents to sign. I asked him to arrange my meeting to be online and reschedule some meetings with Alex instead. Everything is going smoothly at the moment.

"Sir, you need to check this," came in Markus with Jason coming behind.

This was a new circulating about a project we had our eyes on. The team had already started on some concept designs. The Client has already mentioned that they will go with one of the emerging firms ATech. But the design concept is hundred percent identical to the 3D visuals we created. I gathered the team and had an urgent meeting online.

"Everyone, I hope you all have seen the news already. So I need you all to gather the details about the BLine Merchant's group." I said.

"Sir how could they have created the same design? We never released or share them," said Anthony, the second chief Architect.

"Yes, that's also an issue I have. How they got there is a mystery," I said.

"This must have been done by someone inside the office," said Jason thinking hard about how to prove this belongs to us.

"Anthony, do you remember we always have a little hidden identity on our drawings,"

This was an idea developed by Sarah, to have a little something unique to us hidden in our drawings. So we have proof the drawings belong to us.

"Yes sir,"

"Check if these drawings by Atech have the same identity, and let me know," I said as I could already see it on the post circulating around.

Jason and Markus went to the office to collect the details.

"Alex, did you hear the news?"

"Yes I saw it, I am on my way back. Have you sorted what to do?"

"Yes... They have copied our design fair and square. I can prove it. But how can we broadcast this?" I asked as I was thinking of the best option.

"We'll do a live broadcast, wait till I come,"

I asked my PR team to create a buzz about the design concept. So we have a reason to go live.

Within two hours everything was ready and everyone was talking about this issue. Even every media channel, was focusing on this news.

Alex came in with Jason and Markus along with the evidence. After the introductions, we went on to share details about copying our work by the Atec on the B-Line company. We provided a detailed description of our design concept. That kind of made everyone believe us. But some were still not satisfied.

"Since all of you need solid evidence, let us show you something we do to all our drawings," I said.

While showing them a unique identity we have used on every design we do. "This is an identity we have used but not known by others and the only people who knew about this was the senior design team."

"And the Atec team have published the same design as they didn't know about these small details. As you can see here on the published article and the original design we have." I said with confidence.

"I have to apologize to the B-Line company for the sudden revelation. But we will be investigating how they got these designs from us, Thank you every one," said Alex and concluded the live stream.

"Did everything go as planned?" asked Sarah bringing us some snacks and drinks.

"Yes, dear," I said taking the tray from her hand.

"But I feel sorry for the Atec group," she said, while everyone looked at her.

"Why?" asked Alex.

"They are still starting up. This will be a huge blow for them," she said looking at me.

From her look, I knew she had something in her mind.

"What do you have in mind, sweety?"

"Hmm... why don't you take them under your wing and train them, be like a mentor,"

"Little Bud, are you ok?" said Alex checking her to see if she had a fever.

"Silly," was all she said and left.

"Sir,"

"Yes, Jason,"

"Hmmm... I think what Miss said is a good thing if we can do it,"

"Really why?" asked Alex.

"Because when you become a mentor, others will follow you and you will eventually be a leader in the field,"

"Hmmm...." I said.

"You will get a bonus, Jason, " said Alex, happy with the suggestion made by him. As this will be an easy way to promote and get a better reputation.

"We will talk with them and see, anyway we have to help young talent to shine," I said, at last, looking at Sarah who was preparing lunch for us.
