Naive

Aurora groaned as she placed her hand on her head. Why was her head aching so badly?

She opened her eyes slowly and glanced around. It seemed she was in her room.

"Aurora?" She turned to voice and her mother bursted out crying when she saw Aurora was awake and immediately ran over to hug her.

"Oh my precious child. Your father and I were so worried" Aurora groaned slightly.

"I'm okay mother, I just have a little headache. What happened? I don't seem to remember" Roseline pulled away with a sigh then stared at her guiltily.

"You have been asleep for over a week, Aurora" Aurora's eyes widened as she gasped.

"What?" Roseline nodded.

"And that's why we were so worried. Your father can't stop blaming himself for what happened to you" Aurora furrowed her eyebrows at that.

"Why was he blaming himself? What exactly happened, mother?" Roseline's face suddenly turned cold.

"This is all Xavier's fault" Aurora gasped as she abruptly stood up straight.

"I need to see Xavier, is he alright?" Roseline stared at her in shock and disbelief.

"Is he alright? Do you know what he did? He can't be trusted, Aurora, he almost got you killed" Aurora furrowed her eyebrows.

"What do you mean? How?" Roseline sighed.

"Xavier bound your body to his. That means whatever pain someone inflicts on him, you feel it too" Aurora gasped as she threw her hand over her mouth.

"Did Dad hurt Xavier? Why would he do that?" Roseline frowned. Did something happen to Aurora's brain after resting for one week?

"Aurora, your father is not to blame here. Xavier is…."

"Of course father is to be blamed. If he hadn't hurt Xavier in the first place, none of this would have happened. Mother, I'm finally getting across to Xavier, He's my friend now and with time, I'm sure he'll be able to put behind you guys betrayal but if you keep treating him like an animal, that's never going to happen" Roseline stared at Aurora for a while, as if processing what she had just heard then she shook her head with a sigh before getting up from the bed.

"I don't know what kind of spell that man placed on you but Aurora, you're just so naive. He's just using you and trust me, he'll never forgive us so stop that mentality and start thinking straight!" Aurora pursed her lips. Her parents were so impossible! Couldn't they see she was trying to help?!

"Mother…."

"Not another word on the matter, Aurora. I'll talk to your father about this and only when we say so, are you allowed to leave this room" Aurora gasped.

"But that's not fair, mother! You don't understand"

"I understand enough. We are just trying to protect you, Aurora but we can't if you keep acting so stubborn. He has changed you, can't you see? Where's that little girl that always did as was told?" Aurora frowned.

"She decided to be bold, mother. I don't want to be a puppet anymore and I wish to talk for myself instead of letting you guys talk for me or letting Veronica talk over me. In the few days I've spent with Xavier, I feel more free in his presence than I do with my own family. In this huge pack, he's the only friend I have and now you guys want to take that away? Why can't I just do what I want for a change?!" Aurora yelled but instantly felt guilty when she saw the sad look on her mother's face but she had already said it all and she couldn't take it back.

Roseline took a deep breath to compose herself.

"My decision is final, you're to stay in your room till your father and I say otherwise" With that, Roseline walked out of the room leaving Aurora alone.

Aurora bit her lower lip to stop herself from crying but she guessed she wasn't as strong as she thought she was.

Her eyes suddenly widened as she felt Xavier's presence in her head. Had he been there all along and why was he so quiet?

"Why aren't you saying anything?" She questioned but was still meant with silence. She frowned at the thought of him not wanting to talk to her. Was he angry with her because of what her father did?

"You don't have a right to be mad at me when you almost had me killed. Do you know how much pain I was in? You don't do that to a friend" After saying that, she waited a little but still, he said nothing and she was getting frustrated.

"So what? You're ignoring me too? You also think I'm being stupid and naive right? Am I making the wrong choice trusting you and are you just trying to hurt me?" She clenched her teeth when he didn't reply and was about to cuss him out when his low husky voice sounded in her head.

"Yes, I do think you're naive and Stupid. Does that answer your question?" She didn't know why her heart Soared with happiness when she heard his voice but she immediately pushed the feeling away.

"No, because you didn't fully answer my question. Am I making the wrong choice trusting you?" She pursed her lips as she waited for his answer. She could still feel his presence in her head so that meant he hadn't left yet.

After a while, Aurora sighed and was about to give up when his low voice sounded in her head.

"I didn't mean for you to get seriously hurt " Aurora's eyes widened slightly at his words then she sighed.

"I know and I'm not blaming you for this but you could have given me a head's up next time so I can be prepared for the pain" Xavier smirked but didn't say anything on that matter.

She sat there in silence, waiting for him to say something but he didn't and she didn't want to stop talking to him, not yet at least.

After a while, she sighed, "I guess I'll…."

"Won't you come visit me anymore, Little wolf?" Aurora's eyes flickered then she let out a light chuckle.

"Weren't you the one always pushing me away? Are you missing me now, Mr Demigod?" She asked teasingly but Xavier replied back without hesitation.

"Yes, I miss my little weak wolf".....
