Chapter Ten.

Amma's POV.

My family and i arranged for Princess Jalila a very beautiful welcome home party, the cooks made different dishes and of course her favorite dish, the palace looks very beautiful and lovely.

Everybody is happy and waiting for the princess especially king Hamza, he couldn't help himself but to keep smiling.

Few moments later, the princess arrived.

"I will go walk her in" Queen Amma happily walked to the door.

"Welcome home my dear" Queen Amma welcomes the princess with a warm hug and smile.

"Thank you so much your highness *giggles*"

"I missed you so much, come in everyone is waiting for you"

"Wait, what is the reason behind all this decorations, is there another wedding or am I an aunt already *giggles*"

"*Amma laughs* non is happening, just walk with me and you will find out yourself"

"Ok then."

Everyone happily welcomed the princess and gave her the surprise she never expected.

Princess Jalila walked to her father with a big smile and gave him a very big hug and whispered "I missed you the most"

Father laughs and replied *i missed you too my angel, welcome home*

"Thank you father"

She walked to her mother and embraced her with love and much excitement to be home.

"Oh hello Mr crush" Princess sarcastically said to Hakeem.

"Hello my Princess, your Prince Charming waited for so long for your return, welcome back mi lady" Hakeem jokingly replied.

Everyone looks very happy almost forgotten about king Hamza's health and how to tell his favorite daughter about it.

Lots of eating and dancing took place in the palace until it was time for everyone to go back home.

The princess felt so much love and joy, she appreciated everyone that came to her surprise party and they all left.

"Brother are you sure you're okay!" Princess Jalila noticed something strange about her brother.

"I'm fine dear, why are you asking"

"You look disturbed and i can read from your face something is definitely wrong"

"Don't mind your brother, he was just missing you" Amma interrupts the conversation.

"Oh really! I missed you just as much"

"You should go get some rest, you must be exhausted" King Jalal spoke to his sister calmly.

"Amma can i talk to you please" King Jalal held Amma's hand.

"Yes yes"

Both walked to the room together and worried King Jalal asked his wife to tell the princess about their father's condition that he can't see his sister broken after he tells her.

Queen Amma agreed to talk to the princess, she met the princess the next morning and spoke to her about her father's health condition.

"H-hh-how is this possible, w-when" and she bursted out in tears.

"Calm down Jalila, he will be fine if only we don't give up praying for his health" Queen Amma console's Princess Jalila.

"And nobody thought of telling me about this earlier" she cried.

"I am sorry but i stopped everyone from telling you"

"But why Amma"

"Because you're writing your final exams and we're all here for father" calmly spoke.

Princess Jalila couldn't control her tears, ran out to meet her father and gave him a tight hug.

"Please don't leave me" she whispered.

"I won't dear, can't you see i'm still strong in-fact i can wrestle you and win *giggles*"

"I love you father"

"I love you too my princess, i want you to promise me one thing" Father wipes his daughter's tears.

Will you! He added.

"Yes Father"

"Promise me you will be strong and won't give up no matter the situation"

"Father wh-what if"

"Shhhhh just promise me"

"Ok father, i promise you i will be your strong princess at all times."

"Now this is my princess"

Hugs her tight and whispers "i love you my princess, now tell me about school"

The father and daughter spent time together, chatting and laughing, princess Jalila telling her father stories about her stay in school, her friends and studies.

They both had a great time together.

"Jalila mother wants to see you" came King Jalal's voice.

"Ok brother"

"Father how are you feeling" king Jalal asked his father.

"Very strong son" father happily said.

"Father i know you're not strong but anyways continue being strong for Jalila" King Jalal spoke to his father.

"I will and thank you Jalal"

Weeks ahead King Hamza gets blood transfusions once a week but after two months, his health is deteriorating rapidly and he has to undergo blood transfusions twice a week.

Everybody is worried and disturbed, Princess Jalila is more worried than everyone, she feels her father is leaving her and she can't help herself.

"Father please don't leave me" Jalila emotional spoke to her father.

"I won't leave you my dear, i will be fine in few days and we will eat your favorite meal together" father giggles.

"Jalila your father needs to rest, come with me" Mother held her daughter's hand.

"Ok mother"

Princess Jalila needed to be alone and she went to the garden to be alone but unfortunately even King Jalal was at the garden lost in his thoughts.

"Oh hello brother!"

"Hello sister" tries to hide his tears.

"Are you ok brother"

"Yes Jalila i'm fine dear"

"Brother do you think father will be fine!"

"He will be fine, he has to be fine"

King Jalal consoles his broken sister.

Both the King and the Princess are out of hopes but King Jalal has to be strong for his sister.

Queen Amma stared at both of them from a distance and prayed to the lord to keep them both strong and safe.

I just hope he gets better and back at his feet again, the family is scared of losing him and his favorite daughter is emotionally breaking down day by day.
