Sharpshooter Test

"Young man this is where every test is conducted for it to start you just have to enter this room and the test will automatically begin, each time you pass a stage you will be sent to another after a little bit of rest this process will continue till you either have failed or passed the test."

"Now you should remember one thing the higher your score on the test the higher the benefits and rewards." Said the instructor with an amused face wanting to see how would this adventurer fare in such a hard test.

Cyrus took in a deep breath and relaxed himself a bit then Cyrus called up his Character sheet to check everything out one last time.

Right now Cyrus had more HP and Stamina than tanks and similar classes, More mana than mage and similar classes, the reason being the extra points in INT, WIS, and VIT but that gap will soon be closed.

After all, for Cyrus, if he were to put one point in VIT he would gain 100 hp and 50 stamina however if a class like a tank and similar did they would at least gain 300 hp and 100 stamina, same with mages they would also get more value in putting points in Stats like INT and WIS than would a class such as Gunner or Assassin get.

From the time he cleared the Mountain Goblin dungeon he had gone up 9 levels which granted him 36 attribute points 4 for each level.

Cyrus put 14 points in DEX 12 in AGI and 10 STR.

The final stats looked like this:

STR: 41 AGI: 41 DEX: 42

INT: 21 WIS: 21 VIT: 21

Cyrus was extremely satisfied with his current state, after taking in another deep breath Cyrus entered the room and found himself in a pitch-black room his eyes couldn't see anything.

"You have one chance whether you fail or not you should remember to uphold our deal otherwise I will punish you."

"As long as you don't make it significantly harder than it should be and don't double-cross me then all is good but if you make it harder than it normally is let alone our deal I will make sure that most of the top-tier players won't get to ever log in again in this game after all you know that I'm filthy reach and I have Velasquez family as my backing"

Delara and Cyrus went back and force a bit and Cyrus made sure to get his point across and let her know that he knows the contents of the test if it gets harder than it is, he wouldn't just sit around and let her do it.

Eventually, the demerits of hindering Cyrus in his path to becoming a Sharpshooter greatly outweighed the benefits so Delara shrugged it off and let him be.

A generic robotic voice spoke. "Player Cyrus Shahmanesh welcome, This test consists of 5 different segments. Endurance, Aim, Willpower, 1 on 1, Practicality."

"In between each segment of the test, the test taker has the choice of resting for 5 minutes, The test taker can either ask the system to be sent into the next part sooner or the system will automatically send him to the next test after 5 minutes are over."

"Note: the amount of time spent resting will influence the test result."

"Note: All skills and titles are disabled during the duration of the test"

"Note: All Consumable and usable items are disabled."

"Starting the first Segment of the Test 'Endurance'."

Cyrus expected the test for Sharpshooter to be harder than all other classes but even then it was still significantly harder.

Luckily for Cyrus, his control over mana and mana regeneration from his race wouldn't be disabled as it's not a skill but his Racial benefits.

The pitch-black room changed into a plane, It was similar to an Endurance Dungeon and Cyrus had his fair share of Endurance Dungeons in the past.

[Survive for 10 minutes]

That was all he had to do, although easy on paper it was harder in action as one needed to manage mana and stamina while killing monsters and surviving.

One naturally could run around for 10 minutes but not being able to use any Stamina or mana potion meant that you would run out of stamina faster than expected and eventually be caught if not you won't have enough stamina for the next segment of the test.

Cyrus decided to shoot down every enemy and don't move as much as possible.

As Cyrus was coming up with a game plan 2 gates opened one in front of him one behind all sorts of monsters start pouring out.

Without wasting any time Cyrus shoot and shoot killing monsters before they got close.

Cyrus kept shooting and reloading like a madman after reaching the 5-minute mark the difficulty rose higher and the level 10 monsters turned 15.

This was harder as Cyrus had to dodge several attacks and had to kite the monsters that got close by the time the test was over Cyrus had used around 700 stamina.

Cyrus just thanked the gods for receiving that stat boost from race change and just moved on.

"Congratulations on finishing the first test the results will be relayed to the user after all the segments are finished."

"Moving on to the second segment 'AIM'."

Cyrus was confident in his AIM but you wouldn't know what this AI would present you with as such he was a bit stressed about it.

"AIM test: hit all the targets, missing targets will result in deduction of points."

"Well, it was quite evident from the name of the test, a little bit of explanation would have helped." Cyrus said while letting out an audible sigh.

[Test will start in 10 seconds, pls don't miss any targets]

The room around Cyrus changed into a massive shooting range with several clay target machines.

The distance was 25 meters and Cyrus got ready.

From all the Machines targets started flying.

The hard part of this test was deciding which target to shoot first, after all, if you shoot randomly you might miss one or two targets on each batch of flying targets.

Cyrus inspected the Targets and quickly come up with a pattern.

The first batch had 10 targets.

This one was easy.

The second batch had 25 targets the lowest thrown 30 meters higher than the ground and the highest thrown 45.

it was a bit difficult but with a pattern and concentration, Cyrus was able to get all the targets.

The third batch got significantly difficult as there were 50 targets the lowest thrown 10 meters high, the highest thrown 25 meters higher than the ground.

Cyrus got more concentrated and the speed at which he reload was 0.3 seconds (normal players 4 seconds to reload) Cyrus hit all the targets and the last one was barely away from the ground when he got it.

Cyrus was stressed and thanked himself for not being arrogant and putting stat points in DEX which helped him with aiming.

The last batch surprisingly had 5 targets.

However, it was harder than all since the highest thrown one was 3 meters and the lowest 1 meter higher than the ground.

This one gave Cyrus a run for his money as he missed two shots on the last target and barely got it before it hit the ground.

Cyrus was panting heavily, not because he was out of Stamina but because it was mentally tiring and straining his eyes to follow those targets around in such a manner.

Cyrus was waiting for the worse and something impossible to happen but a text came up.

[Congratulations for passing the second test the result will be relayed to the user after all the tests are over.]

"The next test is 'WillPower' this test will not test your capabilities as a shooter but your capabilities as a human being, failure in this test won't result in the immediate end of the test but will affect the end result pls do your best."

Cyrus was worried about this one as every WillPower test in Roya Online was equivalent to going to hell and paying a visit to the boys down there but with one difficulty the boys down there would chew you alive, grind your bones, skin you alive, and if they preferred they would use you for entertainment purposes as well.

Cyrus embraced himself for the worst and the worst happened.

The room around Cyrus changed and he found himself standing on a tall pillar in the middle of a volcano.

The rain was acidic and the moment it touched your skin it would burn your skin.

The temperature was extremely high as he was in a volcano and the worst part was, one couldn't die thanks to the system, one couldn't lose all their senses thanks to the system you either had to tough it out or just fell into a state that the system deemed you unable to continue.

Cyrus cursed out loud and start covering himself in mana.

Thanks to his race having full control over mana and Cyrus being one of the best players to control mana in Roya Online during his past life, was able to surround himself with mana and reduce the effect of the environment.

Cyrus continued as his mana slowly went down but thanks to his mana regen his mana kept refilling the rate at which it regenerated was higher than consumption.

But the pain was there even if it was less potent it was there, His skin was pierced by acid and he was being cooked from inside due to the high temperature around However, for reasons he did not know why he kept continuing as if his life depended on it.

After what seemed like an eternity the room changed into that of an ice biome.

Cyrus found himself in the middle of a lake that was surrounded by mountains, soon the temperature dropped rapidly and a Heavy blizzard appeared.

Cyrus realized that he is not a normal lake as he felt his body melting but it didn't since the system kept him in tip-top shape there was just the feeling of pain but not any physical damage.

Cyrus felt like his mana shield wasn't doing anything anymore as he felt more and more excruciating pain.

Cyrus wanted to give up but there was a feeling inside him that he gave up here he would be hurting someone close to him so he toughed it out.

The pain piled up and Cyrus fell face-first to the lake the pain got more intense as his face touched the surface of the lake Cyrus wasn't willing to give up, Cyrus tried hard and got up on his feet to at least minimize the pain.

One eternity later and Cyrus was transported into another room.

This time it was a white empty room with nothing in sight Cyrus's mind was hazy he could barely remember what he was doing here but he was adamant to continue.

As Cyrus got to his feet he felt a bone-crushing pressure fall on him.

He immediately surrounded his body with mana and start resisting the weight.

As time went on the weight got heavier and heavier.

It got to the point that Cyrus felt he was undertones of weight being pressed down, Blood started leaking out of his mouth and nose he wasn't willing to give up but down the road, he had his limits not being willing didn't mean you stand against all.

His mind went blank and he was about to fall unconscious but then he saw the face of a woman he didn't know, yet it felt like the most familiar person to him in the world.

The middle-aged woman was in a traditional Persian one-piece outfit, it was white in color and there were some bird patterns on the outfit.

Cyrus couldn't make out anything other than the outline of the female but he knew one thing for sure she was the most beautiful and majestic person he had seen in his life.

At this point, Cyrus's consciousness started to slowly fade away and he was regretting the fact that he couldn't see who she was.

In the last moments, the female had gotten closer and closer to him.

Before Cyrus passed out the female brought Cyrus in her embrace and started to gently Caressing his face, with the most gentle voice that would even put Agatha in shame she said:

"Ty for helping me regain consciousness, I don't know when I will have the power to manifest myself but I will make sure to teach you every secret of this world.

Now rest my child as you have done more than enough I'm proud of you."

After saying the last sentence Cyrus fell unconscious.
