The treasure of May

The Forest of the Darn was no more!

"This is the power of my treasure; I was able to create a domain of my own magic which could last forever."

"What the hell…"

The reality that something like "changing an entire forest to your domain of magic" was the most overpowered skill in the history of magic itself!

Magic domain--this was the ripening of one's magic at its maximum capacity. But there were levels to this. There were the weak which could cast one's body with a thin layer of barrier--at best 2 meters--where they could control the atmosphere on their own will.

There had been rumors of a select-few mages in history able to create their own domain at 30 to 100 meters circumference, but to think there was someone that was capable of putting magic domain over an entire forest was incomprehensible!

If any country in the world had known of this, they would kill hundreds of millions just to acquire it.

Kara squinted his eyes from the blurry sight that had been caused by the sudden emergence of sunlight. After a shot while, he recovered and looked clearly outside.

Where was the darkness?

Where was the silence?

If someone said he was really dreaming, he might actually believe it. His crimson eyes stared in full wonder and surprise of the oozing vitality of the nature in front of him. It was like it was the first time he had seen something like a tree, a blue sky, birds chirping, and green grasses!

He even almost forgot he was still carrying Chris on his shoulders for a moment.

While he was standing though, he glanced to his back and saw the classic western mansion. But there on the door, he noticed that May was now gone.

"May?"

"I'm not strong enough to stay outside with the noise and the light of the world." she replied to Kara on his mind.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"I only was able to meet you because it was dark and silent, right? Remember what I said. And now that this forest had been changed to its normal state, I cannot be there. But don't worry, I can speak in your mind. As I said before, we're one already."

Kara did not care about that for now.

"Did you really cast a spell of magic domain in this entire forest?"

May was heard giggling a little, before trying to speak again.

"I'm sure you already figured out, but that black pearl was what made this forest this silent and dark. I made it that way before, because I wanted peace and comfort. But now it's gone. So the darkness and silence of the forest is gone too."

"I see why you're called Dark Princess of Silence now."

"There are many reasons why I was called that though." May said.

Kara couldn't help but smile. He could just imagine the face of May as she talked right now.

While he was still confused though, something struck him! He looked at Chris's face on her shoulders and asked May.

Although this was definitely the most amazing thing he had ever saw in his life, they were actually escaping from the clutches of the shadow clan. Now that the Forest of the Darn was practically gone, the situation of it as the ideal escape tunnel to run onto was gone too.

This was now an ordinary forest.

"Where's the exit?" Kara asked.

"Turn north."

With Chris on his shoulders, Kara jumped backwards. He ran through the roof of the house and arrived at the top.

When he was on the peak of the big mansion, he could see atop the trees like an eagle. There, he then saw the endless horizon and where the barrages of trees end.

At the very same time, he then saw horse-drawn carriages that had stopped by. It appeared a lot like a lot of them had gathered to see what happened to the forest. With their direction, they could also see the big house in full sight.

Suddenly, the knights started to enter the forest. They had obviously seen the big mansion and had seen the change in this forest.

"Tsk."

One last time, Kara looked back, thinking of the clan, as he hid behind the trees, maneuvering so he could hide from the approaching knights armed with swords and shields.

Pssh! Kara moved like a black wolf as he easily bypassed the forest. At night, shadows were more agile but they were still quite capable of more than a normal man can do when they were at broad daylight.

"Are you okay with your house being found though?" Kara asked May.

"I have what I need. I see no value in that house anymore." She said.

Kara had one thing he had been thinking the most in his mind now though.

"Can you tell me more about that item? Does it amplify your powers?"

"No it is where I can transfer my powers."

Kara focused on the current situation first. And did not talk.

But it remained on his mind how someone just transformed something which was at least 5 to 6 kilometer wide into her magic domain.

For mages, a domain was a territory over which one's control was almost absolute. If we were talking about gods, it was like fighting Poseidon in the sea.

An item capable of the creation of the domain was absolutely legendary! It was those items that stood on the pinnacle of power!

Kara extremely felt like he needed some self-reflection to do after knowing that!

That power was unthinkable!

Even his grandfather would not be able to do that!

He might never be able to do that!

Could it be that there were many more existences out there who could do that?

"What the actual hell…" Kara grinned wide.

The sound of his footsteps was light as cotton as they emerged out of the forest.

Then finally, carried on Kara's shoulders, Chris felt his bumpy ride and opened his eyes.

"Where are we?" he asked.
