[Chapter 43] When Will It End?

Two days before leaving....

Blossom has increased in size yet again, she is now the size of a pony.

'Yikes! Her growth is still insane, I gotta get her more food or else she will starve at this rate.' I jump from bed as Winter latches onto my arm from the sudden movement, the bed creates loudly as I launch out. I look at Blossom and rub under her chin, causing her to purr very audibly.

'She sounds like a tiger, wait, do tiger's purr?' She leans on her hind legs and grabs my waist and wraps her arms around my upper shoulders, licking my face, her tongue feeling....hot, and I mean really hot! I get her to stop and look at her tongue to see it is now black with cracks in it.

'Is that....lava?' I look at her tongue closely while she licks me just to see variations of white flowing through the cracks. 'Nevermind, what type of stuff is that?!' In all honesty, her tongue still felt like a regular cats tongue but only looked different and was a ton hotter.

'I'm gonna have to see if she can change that later because I doubt anyone else has diamond scales under their skin and I don't want her hurting people because of her wanting to lick their face.'

I try to unwrap her gently which leads to nothing but her starting to dig her claws into me and she continues licking my face. Winter crawls around my arm and squirms onto my back, making sure to stay clear of Blossom's bath session. After about twenty minutes of standing there, she finally stops, looks at me, and declaws me as she gets down.

I look at her, "Are you hungry?" As I say that, she chirps a high chirp at me, giving me a positive response. We walk downstairs and she walks behind me as we enter the kitchen. I see my mom glance at me but as Blossom walks in her eyes go wide and she almost drops the spatula.

I laugh nervously, "Hehehehe....she grew again, can you please help me find something to feed her?" My mom just stares at me. She then reaches into her pocket and pools out two gold coins.

"Take this and after breakfast, go into town and buy her something to eat, that should be enough for ten chickens so you should definitely be able to find something to solve her hunger problem." I nod and put the money in my pocket. But then I see how she is looking up at me, her eyes begging for food.

'Son of a gun! She is begging! When did she learn this?!' My heart begins to melt as I look into her pleading eyes. 'No! Stop it! Stop!' I look away but she still stands there, her eyes wide. I start internally yelling at myself, 'No! Yes....No! Tch, my answer is no, stop it! I won't give in! I won't.....fine.'

I look at her, "Fine, I will get you food now. Come on." I say as I walk over to the door and put my coat on, "Mom! I'm going to get her food now!" 'Don't want her dying of starvation...damn those eyes.' I feel Winter do his usual head clamp technique and latches on. I transform back into my human form and walk on my way to the market. I see Blossom trotting beside me happily, probably excited she is getting her food. 'Okay, now I'm curious, does her body use food or mana to increase her size, I seriously need to look in the monster book again and find Mocougers.'

My feet crunch on the snow and winter crawls into my hood, falling asleep inside. I look over to see blossom grew her hair a bit so now she looks more like a wild cat. Her hair is long and pristine, flowing softly in the wind.

I take a turn and walk through the park just to see a knight beside a young girl sitting on a bench.

'Isn't that Princess Aurora? What is she doing out this early?' I start to walk over and see a surprised look on her face, 'Isn't that the other divine beast? What is he doing out this early?' I see her look at me and I smile while waving my hand slightly, my teeth gleaming in the light. She smiles back, giving off a very friendly vibe. 'I hope this isn't acting.' She casually glances down to see the now pony sized Blossom beside me and her eyes go wide, 'How did she grow so fast?!'

I inwardly laugh at her shock, "I know, she grew last night." She regains her elegance after a moment of shock, but now looks curious. "I have seen many magical beasts, but I have never seen one grow at this rate, is it a unique species?"

I shrug helplessly, "In all honesty Princess, she is a Mocouger, but I don't know anything else other than the name. She contemplated for a bit before staring at me, a slight bit of surprise formed on it.

"If I remember correctly, Mocouger's are a rare feline species found in climates such as this area, one that has snow during the winter and heat during the summer. And what's even more shocking is that it is your familiar, I wonder, where did you find that Mocouger?"

She sits ther in thought while I nervously laugh, "I raised it. Simple as that." The knight keeps a close eye on me and every movement I make along with Blossom. She looks at me, an even greater look of curiosity on her face.

"But where did you find her?" I scratch the back of my head. 'She just doesn't stop asking questions.'
