[Chapter 138] Fate Is Odd

I look at the message as I read it over again, unable to believe what I am reading, but it doesn't change a bit. 'The system has always worked, but why is it showing such a weird message now? Was it that guy?'

I think as I glance at Aurora. She has finally passed out while her body is slowly healing itself. I do a double take to make sure I am not seeing things when I realize she actually is healing before my eyes. 'Wait, how is her body healing without light magic? Is it one of her divine beast abilities?' I ask myself while watch the muscle slowly rebuild itself over the wound.

The blood has stopped flowing as the last muscle tissue covers her damaged body as I assume the body is healing itself under the tissue. I shake my head, trying to bring myself back to reality as I grab her neck, requiring 2 left hands just to keep hold of her. I look around and finally see the kingdom, except, it's a speck on the horizon.

'Did the fight really push us that far?!' I think as I look at the distance. I sigh as I tighten my grip and begin to walk towards the castle, beginning my arduous journey back as I contemplate what I have seen.

'I have seen a mysterious guy with a portal who claims I am his successor seeing how the system worded it, but what does he mean by King? King of what exactly? And how did he know of my inspect ability? A lot of things have been happening as of late that I just am confused about.....'

'The Pure Shadow Mana is another one, it says that it can only be collected from a certain type of flower but I was able to create it which confuses me even more. I will have to figure out how to go to the next rank in magic and do more research on this flower.' I think as I see the sun now at midday, my colossal frame covering the land around me in shadow.

The castle in the distance seems to have barely grown in size as I sigh, 'This is going to take too long, time to do something I haven't done in this form yet. It's probably going to be stupidly complicated.'

I stop dragging her as I let go, causing her head to this against the ground. Anything around it would of been destroyed if we hadn't already turned the area into a wasteland. I take a few steps forward as I wrap my 6 arms around her, and I flex my back. The once folded wings explode fourth from my back as they cover the sky, shrouding the already dark land in darkness. I flex my 2 sets of wings as I try to figure out the best way to fly, using 4 wings is definitely hard.

'Screw it!' I think as I just unfold them and tighten my grip around Aurora. 'Don't fail me instincts.' I think as I push down with my wings. I feel wind rush past me as we fly upwards, the mass of weight under me slightly pulling me down.

I flap down with my wings to keep me airborn as I float up and down, like a bobber on water. I see the kingdom and the desolate land around us as I gape at the damage. The once lush area of land is now barren with the remains of trees, bushes, and blood. Some of it from unlucky beasts while the majority from the living corpse in my grasp.

'Let's get going, I need to free Dreag.' I think as I push down with my wings, causing me to rocket through the sky towards the castle.

I gaze at the walls of stone that slowly increase in size, I hear screams as people see the body of Aurora in my body. I land just outside the gate as I yell out, my demonic voice echoing throughout the kingdom, "Come see your daughter Rex! Come face the consequences of your actions!"

People walk towards the gate but don't pass, afraid that what happened to this divine beast that lays in front of them will happen to the next person who walks past. A few minutes later, the king comes rushing out of his castle with his jaw dropped and his eyes filled with sadness. He stops just before the gate as his eyes slightly tear up on his shocked face, his own daughter was reduced to such a state, one that looks too horrible to even look at.

He goes to step forward when a massive black wall appears, blocking the gateway. He stares at it shocked, the sudden appearance of the black gate stunning him. He suddenly feels a darkness crawl over him as if a cold breeze blew past. He looks down at his feet to see a massive shadow, causing him to look up and see my massive head.

"I am only going to ask this once, where is Dreag?"
