Chapter thirty eight 038: THINGS ARE CLOSING IN

*At times I feel suffocated by the event that takes place in my life I would want to scream to relieve myself but nothing comes out I feel locked in while everyone else is outside having there best life*

Berlina was aware of the stress it takes to revive Adria when she goes through depression, back then when Ryan came into her life Berlina had to taught him how to take care of Adria when she began to act up, they became close shared great memories just for him to ended up leaving. Berlina closed her eyes and held the glass of whiskey she had brought earlier due to worry, tightly.

Haru did as he was told and when he placed the Bluetooth on the door he notified Berlina.

Berlina took a deep breath and called out to her sister. "Adria." It was loud enough for anyone in the house to hear and it felt like she was really there.

Adria who laid on the floor helplessly stood up immediately and went towards the door, she kicked the bin which she had poured the glass into and the glasses poured to floor but she didn't mind she stepped on them while making her way to the door, she hurried to the door and unlocked it while whispering her sister's name "Berlina." She got no reply so she called again this time louder but she didn't see anyone, she looked around carefully to find that one person she needed right now but she couldn't see her and she couldn't see anyone else as her eyes were only searching for one person which was her sister.

"Adria are you there." Berlina said. When Adria heard the voice she followed the sound, she looked down and saw the Bluetooth which had been placed beside her door tears filled her eyes and immediately the place spinned and she passed out.

Haru and Yan screamed in shock. "Adria." As they rushed towards her they tried to reach her but got no response they checked her pulse. "She's not breathing." Yan Chen panicked.

Akio who was told to stay in his room came out due to the noise and due to the fact he heard his aunts name.

When he stepped out he saw blood everywhere and Adria laying lifeless on the floor he began to cry loudly making the place too noisy.

Berlina who was straining to hear had to cover her ears due to the noise, she had to end the call and texted haru instead to please keep her updated on what was going on.

Berlina sat on her seat and thought to herself was it a mistake to have separated her from myself and mom, she was really worried and a tear slipped down her eyes, she cleaned her eyes and looked at a video of nightmare which was sent to her, it was a discussion between him and his boys

IN NIGERIA

Nightmare case was to be reopened and they had few days to the hearing.

"All isn't working in our favour boss even the lawyer is having a hard time with this case he has tried everything possible but it doesn't seem to work." The young man said with anger writing on his face.

Nightmare remained calm as he didn't even care about the bad news he just received.

"Looking at the way this whole thing is playing out this will be the only way to get you out of here boss." He continued as nightmare didn't reply.

"What way?." Nightmare raised his brows to the man seated in front of him.

"Just go with the flow and ask your dad for help it doesn't matter if you are seen as weak just ask him to help you." He emphasized.

"That's not the issue, what I don't want is his restriction that's what I fear you know how my father can be that man won't hesitate to put me in the corner like a dog." Nightmare said as folded his hands in anger.

"They are ways around that sir and after all he's your father if he doesn't get you out of here you will-." he stopped halfway knowing his next word could annoy his boss.

"Are you sure he would be able to get me out of here?."

"Yes boss I'm certain. When I spoke with him last time he said he won't visit cause he didn't want to see you there and come back empty handed if he was to come is to kick your butt out of here it sounded as a joke but I knew he was serious." He replied.

"Any update on Adria." Nightmare eyes brightened as he mentioned her name.

"Not yet but we got a lead." He said feeling disappointed that this was still important to his boss.

"Spill." Nightmare didn't react to his attitude as he didn't care

"Berlina calls someone at a particular time and I have a feeling it is Adria."

"So what are you waiting for get her phone and do what you have to."

"It's really hard to get to that particular phone it's always on her."

"She has reserved phone." Nightmare frowned upon the realization.

"Yes sir."

"Then that's surely Adria do whatever it takes and get me that phone.

"Yes sir."

"Now leave, ensure to bring results and not reports on your next arrival." Nightmare said as he stood up to leave.

On his way he spoke to himself while heading back to his jail room. "I had suffered these few months and I will ensure Adria pays for every single one of my pain." He smirked triumphantly

Berlina closed her eyes as she thought to herself 'Things are really closing in, nightmare is really out to get my kid sister that man is aiming for his death, I hope he doesn't die by my hands because it won't be a pleasant death.' She sighed and resumed her thought about her ill sister she texted haru again to call her when Adria regained consciousness.
