Sumire wasn't waiting in the car, but she was leaning on the tree near the front gate. She kept peeking over and muttering something.
"Are you playing hide and seek?" Toh said, appearing beside her.
"Gah-"
Her reactions are amusing.
"Is Ru alright?" Sumire asked.
"He is going to stay for two weeks." Toh trailed off.
'Should I mention the ex? It wouldn't trigger her, would it?' While debating what to say, he finds the girl's gaze in his pocket where he had placed the key. The key was on a keychain, so the chain was sticking out of his pocket.
Toh immediately takes it out.
"His doctor told me to give this to you."
Sumire paused, seeing the key. "Ah, his doctor.." She trailed off. "So he has some humanity left in him after all." She muttered quietly.
'I must be right. That must be the boyfriend.'
The first night they met, she rambled about the boyfriend who broke her heart, leading to them sleeping together. A girl who just had her heart broken.
Toh backed her against the tree and cupped her cheeks.
"What's the matter, Toh?" Sumire said, puzzled.
"This is a good spot to kiss. What do you think?" Toh suggested.
It was just a suggestion based on her behavior in the restaurant. Toh didn't think Sumire would agree. But, to his surprise, she nodded. He briefly looks back at the window and spots a familiar figure staring.
What good eyesight. She must have seen him.
Toh wrapped his arms around the girl's waist and drew her close to him. The scent of the girl's perfume caught his attention, and he paused. Since when did she wear perfume? She didn't use to wear it, he thinks for a moment, and his lips curve to a smile. Was it since she started to live together with him?
His thoughts broke off, hearing the sound of a faint shutter and then another. He opens his eyes, scans the area, and sees a reporter hiding in the bushes.
Toh didn't stop kissing Sumire, and he even deepened the kiss. But he did click a button on his phone.

Almost after Toh left, Sano chased after him and then returned to the room.
"Did you give the key back?" Mamoru asked.
"I did."
"You should have given that back immediately. Don't tell me you've been sneaking in?"
At those words, Sano turned quiet, and Mamoru just looked at him in disbelief.
"That is called stalking-"
"I know," Sano interjected angrily. "But, what was I supposed to do? I went a few days without seeing her, but I was going crazy from worrying so much. So, I visited her a few times when I knew she would be asleep. I still knew her schedule for at least a week since she would send it to me weekly, so we could arrange to see each other when she was free."
So not only did he sneak into her house, he even watched her sleep. Mamoru truly didn't know what to say about this. It's unbelievable how much he likes Sumire, and yet that didn't stop him from doing something stupid.
'I understand he was backed into a corner. But surely he could have asked someone, no asked me for help?'
Sano isn't oblivious to his and Sumire's involvement in the underworld. Had he just spoken up, this wouldn't have had to happen. This guy, even if he didn't ask Sumire. Couldn't he have asked his pride away to ask him?
Sano walked over to the window, and Mamoru immediately knew that he was trying to get a glimpse of Sumire.
How much longer does he have to continue watching this?
'I feel useless. Even if I provide Sano with pictures and updates, nothing he will do will fix their damaged relationship.' Moreover, when Sumire found out they were exchanging messages, she was outraged.
"Damn, who the hell is that guy? 'I knew something was fishy." Sano said angrily.
Mamoru paused, hearing Sano's muttering. Did something happen? He weakly stood up and walked towards the window. He follows Sano's line of sight and sees what he is looking at. Toh had Sumire backed against the car and was kissing her deeply.
For a minute, he freezes and then recalls what he saw when he came over the first day. Indeed, it did seem like the two had gotten closer to one another. However, he didn't think their relationship would be like this.
What worried him wasn't Sumire falling for Mashima Toh. After all, he knew how deep her emotions were towards Yuhi. There is no doubt even now that Sumire likes Yuhi. No, what worries him is Sumire using Mashima Toh as she did Sano.
'To fill the void in her heart.' Suppose Yuhi didn't sing that song if the media didn't find out about Yuhi's connection to the underworld. Perhaps they could have avoided this situation. Sumire's interest in Mashima Toh would have remained a simple interest.
Mamoru's thoughts break off, seeing Sano clench his fist. Is he that upset?
"You know, you should calm down. Mr dr in training." Mamoru commented.
"Who is that?" Sano emphasized the 'that.'
"A new friend of Sumire's."
'It's actually surprising that he didn't pry any information out of Toh when he was here earlier.'
"So, friends, kiss now?" Sano questioned.
"Do you really have the right to say that?" Mamoru asked.
"Tsk."
"If you're frustrated, you should have just given it to her yourself."
"They are watching." Sano sighed. "Otherwise, I'd advise you to stay here longer."
"Two weeks is better than nothing. I can at least get some general treatment done."
Two weeks is long enough. 'I can't leave Sumire alone with Mashima Toh. After all, he is most likely on the enemy's side.' Although, at the moment, there is nothing that ties him to Lucifer. Mamoru feels like his sudden appearance in Sumire's life is too suspicious. Is it a coincidence that Mashima Toh appeared by Sumire? During this time, the underworld is seeing a lot of death.
Perhaps he is related to all these incidents. He must be one of Lucifer's henchmen. However, his background history is clean. His grandmother, who supposedly adopted him, is actually his blood-related relative. Other than the accident that took away the lives of his parents and made him an orphan, there is nothing else that stands out.
