Is this the right choice?

Seeing Toh, Sumire immediately kept her head down. Honestly, all she can think about right now is how sweet, intense and strong his kiss was from yesterday. It's so strange, she has never felt like this before.

Before Toh could reach them however, Sano appeared.

"Sumire, can I talk to you before you go?"

Mamoru looked over at her hesitantly, and she sighed. "It's okay, go."

She reluctantly followed after Sano, but she couldn't miss the way Toh looked at her. Sumire shakes her head. It's better to deal with this now. The moment they arrived in Sano's office, he kisses her and then

Sano hugged her tightly.

"I'm going to miss seeing you."

She simply remained still, trying to hide the disgust she felt. Now that she is a couple with Toh. She doesn't want to do this with him anymore. The past week ever since the first day she started to see Ru, Sano has been dragging her to his office and doing intimate stuff. She didn't say a word, or stop him after that first day knowing that she still wanted to figure out her emotions.

The person she wants to be with isn't Sano anymore. Had he approached her a month ago, before she met Toh. Perhaps they could have gotten back together. But in the two months since their break up, she has met somebody who truly respects and cares for her.

Sano gently caressed her cheek and his lips were on hers again. However, Sumire mustered her strength to push him away.

"This- we can't do this."

Sano frowned at her sudden refusal. "What's wrong? I thought you didn't mind."

Sumire bit her lip. "Initially I allowed myself to go with the flow, because it genuinely seemed like you missed me. No, it's because I missed you too. But, I can't lie to myself anymore. I only missed you because I felt regrets but even those regrets are gone now. They have been replaced by the love and care from another man. When I compare the two of you, I can tell which one truly loves me."

At those words Sano's gaze dimmed. "Is it that one from before? Are you two dating?"

"Yes." Her sentence fell short when he looked at her with a pained gaze. For a moment, just a moment she faltered.

Two months, she moved on to another person in two months. She could almost hear him say. 'You didn't care for me at all.'

It seemed cruel, and she was starting to wonder if she was making the right choice. If he is truly remorseful, perhaps she can give him a chance? But, the past week he has been sneaking around when he is with her. When the other nurses and doctors show up, he doesn't spare her a glance. It's only at night where there is nobody else around, he treats her with the same kindness he did previously.

"San-"

Sano slumped his face in her chest. "I will let you go now only because I have no choice.." He mumbled ever so quietly. "But, know this. I will come back for you, one day and I will explain everything to you."

Sumire felt very confused. She wanted to know what he meant when he said he had no choice. What is he talking about? This past week she has been observing Sano's behavior and noticed how he was around other women. He didn't seem happy at all.

Could it be, there is something, no somebody commanding him to do all this? Before she could say anymore Sano kisses her again, but unlike the hungry and suffocating kisses this past week there was something gentle about this. That gentle kiss only lasted a few seconds when somebody yanked him away from her.

Sumire turned to see a furious looking Toh. Toh's next move surprised her. He grabbed hold of Sano's neck and squeezed it before throwing him across the room.

He looked at Sano with anger that she had never seen before. Toh walked over to Sano who was on the ground and kicked him several times.

Sumire was completely frozen. This is the first time she is seeing him like this. So, this answers her question whether he knows how to fight. This isn't even a portion of his skills and yet she can tell he is powerful. There is something sinister in the air right now.

"Tsueno told me something interesting. This past week there are times where both you and Sumire disappear at the same time. The first day aside, you probably told her about Tsueno's condition. But, what about the other days?"

Sano coughed weakly and he laughed. "The other days? We were lip locking in my office and having a bit of fun. It was so easy for me to force her to do what I wanted. She willingly spread her legs out for me."

Sumire looked at Sano horrified. What is he talking about? That's not what happened at all. Other than the random impulse of the first day. He hasn't done anything more than kiss her.

At those words Toh's gaze turned darker. Previously Toh was only kicking Sano but now he was stepping on his leg. Hearing a crunching sound. Sumire cried out. "Stop-" She rushed over and hugged Toh from the back.

"Please stop Toh. He is lying, he only kissed me and when I was uncomfortable he stopped."

"Are you defending him?"

Sumire bit her lip. "I am only telling the truth. Why would I lie to you? I have no reason to help him."

Toh still seemed angry but he quickly got off Sano. Sumire wanted to stay behind and check on his injuries. But she knew if she stayed Toh would misunderstand. So she quickly mumbled an apology before chasing after Toh, who didn't say anything as they exited the hospital and appeared in front of the car.

Sumire was about to sit in the back seat when Toh grabbed her hand. "Sit at the front."

"R-right." Sumire mumbled.

This is so scary, what is wrong with him? She has never seen Toh behave like this before. Is it because of what happened a few minutes ago?
