2 Chapter 2: Waiting (Bella)

I want to be a regular girl in the town but I am not able to so I write in this journal to vent about things that are on my mind.

Today is the day that the royals raid the town and as I watch the horses come back with people I see the main knight with a separate horse with a girl tied up. A little boy screams at the guy to let her go and I listen from the balcony.

" Let my sister go now! She needs help cause momma told me that she is to be with me all of the time and protect me at all costs. Please, let her go now and if you don't I will hurt you!" he yells and the guard all laugh. I almost feel sorry for the poor kid since he is being taken the opposite way to the army camp in the other side of the kingdom. I sit back and relax as I write in this journal but then I can't so bye!.....

I get up off of my bed and run down the stairs to see who my brother who is king now that dad and mom are dead and technically he is next heir and not me. He is gonna pick one girl out of all of them that shall be his yearly dinner. He is the last vampire that survived the last war. Now that he is of age, he can do what he wants to do.

They shove the girls onto the ground and right away there are 4 girls left. The one that had the brother scrambles to get up and makes it two feet away from my feet before being dragged back to the center. My brother gets rid of two and the strong one gets picked and not the skinny one. The guard laughs a deep laugh and pats the girls shoulder and she pushes to the side.

I swallow hard knowing that this girl is about to die by vampire. I stare at my brother as he picks her up and lays her on the table and has the guard lock her down and remove the tape and ropes. She immediately screams.
