3 Chapter 3: The Bite (Melanie)

I scream as the prince leans down and I feel a lick on my throat and I struggle against the metal. He then has everyone leave the room and we are left alone besides a girl in the corner that I assume is his sister. He leans down and then he bites my neck and I cry out in pain as his teeth pierce my neck. I feel light-headed all of a sudden but I hold on to life. I will not die on this table. I close my eyes as he takes blood from me and then he lets me go and stares down at me and sees my eyes open. He frowns "Why aren't you dead?" he whispers to himself

I cry silently at the pain and I whisper back with my voice sounding hoarse.

"I won't die that easily"

He smiles at me "Your just what I needed at this time"

I frown "Let me go now and I'll do what you want"

He laughs "Why would I release you when I can't even unlock the metal?"

I push against the metal but it doesn't budge. Then all of a sudden the bed goes up and I cry out at the movement. My legs have pins and needles. He grunts and then takes a knife from the drawer on the side and lines it up with my abdomen. I shiver as the knife touches my skin. He smiles and then without warning he leans forward and cuts a line in my abdomen and I feel him suck on the blood flowing out slowly. I grab onto a sigh and all of the pain fades and I just let him do his worst. When he's done he pulls my shirt over the scab and stares at me.

"Really?You must be tired by now" he says

I nod my head slowly and he has the guards take off the metal and I fall down to the floor in a heap.

I am dragged to a smaller room and left there with the girl. She takes care of my wounds and I become best friends with her that day. Her name is Bella Santiago and she is the princess after her brother is not king. She is 13 years old which is 4 years younger than me.
