Thanks to his spirit guardian, he can sense the aura of every creature, including demons and vampires, and use that as a weapon. But suddenly, he was pressured to join either the vampires or the demons. But then, the leader of the Red Scarlet Army, Yeager Ray, intervened and recruited him, causing Atsushi to make up his mind to join the Red Scarlet Army instead. Now a soldier of the Red Scarlet Army, he soon discovers he is not alone in having a spirit guardian. There are also other elemental spirits lurking in the post-apocalyptic world that guide humans on how to survive, and they fight together against evil forces. Soon enough, he would fall in love with Krul Tepes, the stepsister of Yeager. Can he navigate this new, strange world?

Chapter 14 - Getting Torn Apart

Both the Imperial Demon Army and the Red Scarlet Army are amazed at Atsushi's shift of strength and appearance. Atsushi looked at the vampires seriously. "I won't let any of you hurt my friends, my team."

He then jumped high and fend off the vampires, who are now trying to defeat him. T

he clashes of their swords are complete with sparks because of friction from their weapons.

As Atsushi fights, his mountain spirit cheered for him. "You can do it, Atsushi!"

"What was that blue around him?" Yuichiro commented.

"I had no idea," Guren responded.

Also watching this, Yeager was impressed that Atsushi had managed to unlock his power. "He had unlocked his power."

Clare then looked at him. "What power?"

"It's called Aura," Yeager replied back.

Back at the fight, both sides are now pretty exhausted, but Atsushi is still up, albeit panting.

"You want more?" he asked them. "I can take it."

Then, ironically, the vampires are impressed by his power and decided to ask him to join their side.

Atsushi was surprised with shock. "What? Join your side?"

"Yes, you're very awesome and skillful in combat," one of the vampires said to him. "Join us and you'll be in the better place."

Before Atsushi would say anything, Guren said to him, "Remember your place, Atsushi. Don't join those bloodthirsty monsters." But the vampires insisted back. "No, join us."

As both sides are trying to convince him, Atsushi felt being torn apart by those two choices.
