CHAPTER 2 - UNLUCKY

Ginny lifted her head and looked at the man intently.

"Who are you?' asked Ginny in a hoarse voice.

"Hendry. Hendry Cho," said the man, holding out his hand.

Hendry chuckled when he heard Ginny say that he even smiled at Ivanka who was now watching the two of them.

"I'll leave you two," Ivanka said as she changed tables.

"Gosh, Iv!" Ginny rolled her eyes.

"I'm not here for the Royal," said Hendry. "I just happen to come here often," Hendry explained.

"Whatever your reasons, I don't want anyone to take The Royals from my hands," Ginny said curtly.

Ginny's greatest fear was losing everything she had. She didn't want to lose The Royals and her husband.

"You have to deal with The Royal quickly," Hendry said.

"I'm not asking you for advice," Ginny replied. "I know what I have to do with my company,"

"Here," said Hendry while showing an update from Ginny's The Royals. "Have you seen it?" asked Hendry with a relaxed face.

Ginny felt her heart almost jump out of her as she read the latest news that Hendry had shown her. It was impossible for her that The Royal would be abandoned so quickly by his closest clients and investors.

No one believed him to lead The Royal anymore. They all betrayed Ginny by disloyalty to the choices they had made when they first joined The Royal.

"You edited it, didn't you? This is fake news," Ginny inquired with a trembling voice and sharp eyes looking at Hendry with annoyance.

"For what? After all, my own perfume company is more advanced than yours," said Hendry.

Ginny got up from her seat and went out leaving Hendry who was still in the bar, and was followed by Ivanka who walked quickly right behind Ginny.

"Ginny! Ginny Albright! Oh my gosh ..." called Ivanka desperately chasing Ginny who was walking so fast.

"This is crazy!" Ginny shouted angrily. "How can they all betray me? It's not my fault! There's nothing wrong with all the perfume products The Royal sent ..." Ginny cursed while looking for her cellphone to call all the VIP clients of The Royals one by one. "The Royal never degrade the quality of the perfumes I produce, let alone disappoint VIP clients. Who did all this to me?" Ginny continued as she continued to try to contact clients and the highest shareholders in The Royal.

"Arghhh!!"

Ginny threw her phone in annoyance. Her tears were flowing again without stopping, as if the tear cells in her body were constantly telling her to let out tears.

"Get in the car, you can't be like this," Ivanka said quietly.

"Take me to the office," said Ginny.

"You should go home, Fiona is waiting for you," said Ivanka.

"I need to get this over with quickly," Ginny argued over what Ivanka had just said.

"Wake up! Fiona needs you more than The Royal!" Ivanka said loudly with a tone full of emphasis. "Dave ... he ..." Ivanka couldn't continue her words about Dave to Ginny. She didn't want to see Ginny, the girl she thought was his own daughter, had to be hurt even more.

But now Ginny's anger about The Royal had subsided a little after she heard Dave's words from Ivanka's mouth. There was something strange when she heard every time Ivanka said Dave's words.

"I know," Ginny said quietly. "I know what happened," she continued.

"Oh, Ginny, my poor little girl ..." Ivanka couldn't hold back her tears and stopped her car on the side of the road.

"It's okay, I just need to work harder to get things back to normal," Ginny said quietly. "I can work harder than this to keep Dave and Fiona happy,"

Ivanka looked at Ginny's face intently, how could Ginny continue to prioritize the happiness of the people she cares about even though they had betrayed her.

"Dave, I believe he will come back to me," Ginny said then wiped her own tears and turned her face outwards. Dear thousands of dears, Ginny clearly found Dave making out with a woman out there. The same woman as back then. The woman who went into her house and didn't come out for hours.

Ivanka, who realized this, was furious. She felt that Ginny should not be treated like this by the person she loved so much.

"Do not!" Ginny held Ivanka's arm who was now about to get out of the car and approached Dave. "Leave it alone," Ginny continued.

Ivanka shook her head. "Are you happy?" Ivanka asked. "You're hurting yourself by holding on to what you shouldn't be holding on to."

"I just need to keep what's rightfully mine, they'll come back to me. Dave and the Royal too," Ginny replied then ordered Ivanka to leave the place.

***

Empty, the mansion she lived in was completely empty. Ginny only found Fiona who was fast asleep with a nanny in her bedroom. She couldn't find Dave anywhere. The man she saw earlier with Ivanka was really Dave. The man she has been married to for more than seven years.

Ginny looked at the clock on the wall in her room. It's 22:30 pm, did Dave forget that even if she had a meeting she would never come home this late.

Still fully clothed when she came out earlier, Ginny opened her laptop and also took out the files for The Royals that she had to investigate. She was sure there was someone who had the heart to make The Royal like this.

She tried not to think about Dave who was having an affair with another woman by busying himself with taking care of his company.

"Ginny, my dear..."

Suddenly Dave came into the room and hugged Ginny warmly.

"You're from outside," Ginny asked, smiling warmly.

"Sorry I didn't tell you, just to buy this," Dave replied as he took out a box of Ginny's favorite chocolates.

"Thank you, Dave ... you always know what I need," Ginny said as she caressed the cheek of the man she loved so much.

"Get some rest, you just got home and went straight back to work? You haven't even changed your clothes yet," said Dave.

"Go to sleep, I still have work to do,"

"I'll be waiting for you," said Dave.

Ginny closed her laptop screen and looked deeply at Dave. It felt like she didn't want to say this, but she couldn't keep acting like she didn't know anything about what had happened to Dave.

"Dave, is it true that you're betraying me now?" Ginny asked quietly.
