The Unexpected Visitor

Melina reached home and finally fell on her couch tired from the exhausting work she had that day. She didn't realize falling asleep on the couch. After some time she was woken up by a loud bell.

'Who the hell would come here now?' she mumbled. 'Must be Jane. The stupid girl should have run out of sugar' she thought and chuckled.

'Gimme a second Jane!!!' she shouted on top of her lungs and reached for the shelf grabbing the extra packet of sugar she had. She rushed to the door and opened it. What she saw made her heart stop beating for a second.

'Leonard?' she gasped and dropped the packet. She couldn't believe her eyes. It was the same eyes she fell in love with, but now it held a gaze of profound wisdom and it shone differently. She felt some difference in him that she couldn't comprehend.

'No, it can't be. You cannot be him!' she screamed and tried to close the door desperately but he was too strong and fast for her. He caught the door midway and pushed it open. Melina was freaked out by his sudden appearance in her life out of nowhere and started panicking. She ran towards the back door. Before she reached the handle she felt strong arms pulling her away from the door. The next thing she remembered was colliding against a rock hard chest and strong arms caging her with an iron grip.

The only thing between his hard chest and her petite frame was her hands in front of her. She tried to escape by pushing him away but his grip only tightened. She whimpered from the pain she felt from the grip. He loosened a bit but held her tight enough so that she couldn't escape.

She started sobbing, 'Leonard let me go, please' and started to cry hard on his chest. He felt his shirt becoming wet but he didn't care. He was waiting for this for years. To have his love in his arms only for himself.

Moments later she finally spoke out, 'Why did you leave me, Leonard? Why? Why? Why?' and punched on his chest releasing her years of longing and desperation. 'You said you would never leave me! You said we could be together forever! You said we could be one happy family! You lied to me, Leonard! You lied!!! How can you just disappear from my life like that and appear out of nowhere all of a sudden!!' she vented out everything she had on her heavy heart, all those years.

Leonard waited for her to calm down and when she finally did, he released her and took her face in his large, calloused arms, and looked into those blue orbs intently. Chocolate brown met ocean blue after years of longing. 'Melina I know you can't forgive me for what I did to you. I know I left you all of a sudden and disappeared without a trace. But listen to me once Melina, please just once', he pleaded her with the deep brown orbs of his which started to drench with tears which represented his bleeding heart.

Melina fell for those brown orbs again. She was reminded of those beautiful moments they had... How they found love in a hopeless place. Though he was gone without a trace, deep in her heart she knew he would come back, for her. She knew she would accept him anyway cause the love she had for him was still at its youth.

She gently wiped off his tears with her small hands then held his face. She looked deep into his soul through his brown orbs and said, 'I forgive you, Leonard. I still love you. I always knew you would come back to me my love', she said from depths of her heart.

He hugged her tightly as though his life depended on it and she melted into his warm embrace. How she longed for this moment, for years. She then held his large hands in his small ones and said, 'Tell me, Leonard, I want to listen'.
