All Yours

'The night I left you had a huge fever remember?' he asked and Melina nodded. 'I was out to buy medicine for you near The Kingston's. Suddenly I heard gunshots. Curiosity took the best of me. I went in the direction of the sound and found a group of mobsters around a guy who was just shot. I gasped.

Then someone from the gang heard me gasp and came in my direction. Before I could escape cops arrived and took me for one among them. I was arrested and put in jail along with them.

I tried telling the cops that I wasn't one of them but they didn't listen. During my entire time inside the bars, I felt their eyes on me as if I looked familiar. Each minute passed like an hour. After an hour or so I heard more gunshots. It was their gang men who had come to rescue them. When they left, they took me with them. When I asked why they replied that you'll know soon. As I left I saw all the policemen dead. I was terrified. Never in my life have I witnessed a murder and that too this many.

We entered the distant part of the city where armed men with guns and all kinds of ammunition were seen. I didn't even know such parts of the city existed. Finally, we reached the place where we were expected to be. I was brought to the capital building and noticed everyone staring at me with shock on their faces. I couldn't comprehend anything. Then I went into a room and to my surprise, there was a huge portrait of a man who looked exactly like me. I couldn't believe my own eyes. But his eyes held a lot more wisdom and his demeanor was overbearing although it was just a painting.

Then I heard a voice, "Son, we've been waiting for you for too long. It's time you continue your father's legacy" '.

'Leonard?' Melina asked, all the confusion and nervousness visible in her doe-like eyes. 'Yes, Melina. It was at that moment I realized I was the son of the greatest mafia leader at those times, the heir to the Sicilian legacy, Leonardo Lorenzi, the son of the one and only Alfonso Lorenzi', he said with pride in his eyes.

'Leonaa...rd... Are you..are you ...in the mafia...?' she stuttered, unable to voice her words since she didn't yet process his words entirely. 'Yes', he replied.

Melina's eyes started to tear up. She couldn't believe the fact that her eternal love became her worst fear...the Mafia. Leonard knew Melina would react this way. He held her even closer and tighter and began brushing the soft brown waves in her head. Yet she was strong enough to let Leonard continue. 'Go on Leonard', she said.

He drew a breath in and then continued. 'My training began. I was trained in all sorts of defenses. I was trained in shooting with all kinds of guns, stabbing in the correct places with knives.. everything that a mafia leader would need to know. I learned what kind of business we did. I trained so hard to prove myself as my father's son and to avenge some people', he replied, the fire in his heart visible in his intense eyes.

'Avenge? Leonard what happened to your dad?', she asked, clearly knowing that something was off. Leonard smiled,' You're still smart, aren't you?' he said admiring his love. 'Maybe', she smiled back.

' Melina, I don't want to put you in any danger. Trust me okay? I will, when the time is right', he said with concern. Melina chuckled and replied,' Is my baby being protective?'.

Leonard replied, 'You'll never stop joking even at serious times, would you?'. Melina just laughed and said, 'Noooo I wouldn't ! ' in a baby-like voice which she used to do to annoy Leonard when they were little.

At that moment Leonard was reminded of his Melina, years ago when they fell in love for the first time. Those cute moments when Melina would try to annoy him as much as possible by replying in her baby voice.

Leonard now smirked and said, 'Baby do you remember what I'd do to stop you?' with an evil gleam in his eyes. 'Leonard! No no no, you wouldn't!' she said and try to wriggle out of him. Leonard just said,' Yes sweetheart, I would with my utmost pleasure' and caught her in time. 'Leonard noooooo', she begged but her pleas went unnoticed. Leonard gleamed and started to tickle her.

'Leonard !!! Stop! Oh my God! nooooo. Leonard stop tickling me !!!' she screamed while Leonard just replied, 'You asked for it baby' and continued tickling her. Bursts of laughter followed and finally after lots of pleas Leonard stopped his assault.

'Phew God! You are still naughty Leonard!' she said while taking large breaths in and out. 'You wanna know how naughty I still am?' he asked with a smirk and came closer. 'Nope, I don't', Melina replied and started to run around the room.

Leonard always liked a bit of chase. He started chasing her around. Finally caught up with her and caged her with his arms between him and the wall. 'Guess I have to let you know after this many years', he replied and locked his lips with hers.

His one hand held her face while his other hand held her waist pulling her closer to him with every passing moment. She rested her hands on his chest feeling his heartbeat rise higher and higher as a melodious rhythm to the ethereal moment they ravished right then. He kissed her like there was no tomorrow. Years of longing and passion came unleashed. He marked her as his, dominantly, by capturing the wonders of her sweet mouth with his. He felt her smile against his lips and so did she.

He gently released her and looked at her face, flustered and blushing. 'This beauty is all mine', he mentioned and Melina replied, 'All yours'.
